PCI Problems
OK... maybe I got a little anxious and ran out and bought a Tyan GX28 with dual Opteron (dual core) processors. (It is a nice server ;) ) I did neglect to find out that you can not manually set the IRQ's on this motherboard. I am now stuck sharing an IRQ with the ethernet controller and no foreseeable end to my dilemma. I have a Digium TE210P and zttest consistently runs at 99.97% which

Music on hold
Hey. Maybe this question has been asked before, but I am new here. I would like to use streamed radio station as "music on hold". I have tried mpg123. That doesn't work. I have installed mplayer and it can connect to the stream. > mplayer http://media06.webpartner.dk/100fm2?MSWMExt=.asf But how to get mplayer and asterisk to work together? My setup is

Music on Hold on IP Phones with FreePBX 2.2.0
Hello everyone, We just installed a new Trixbox 2.0 server and updated FreePBX to 2.2.0 from 2.2.0rc3. We are having some problems with regards to Music on Hold on IP phones. When we press the "Hold" button, the caller doesn't hear the MOH sound. This functionality used to work with the older Asterisk@Home installation on the same hardware and configuration. However, we don't

Zaptel and zttest
I am having trouble with zttest on a Tyan board, dual AMD Opteron's on FC3. Tried different kernels, no IRQ sharing, everything looks in order. My zaptel modules load fine, but if I run zttest, it just hangs. Below is the strace output and you can see where it stops. Anyone have any ideas? [root@asterisktest zaptel]# strace ./zttest execve("./zttest", ["./zttest"],

Music on hold on timing sources
Hello: I have read that music on hold requires a timing source (which I never had to worry about previously since the server had zaptel hardware in it)...now I'm configuring a server in a colo which has no zaptel hardware. If I use the dialplan to run MusicOnHold(), I do get the music upon dialling that extension, but if I try to use the hold button on either a 7960 or X-Lite I get

zaptel wont compile errors on zttest
Hi all, I'm unable to complete the installation of zaptel. I did a checkout today from cvs. When I do make clean; make install. It gives me an error at this portion of the installation: /include/linux/modversions.h -DSTANDALONE_ZAPATA -c wct4xxp.c cc -I. -O4 -g -Wall -DBUILDING_TONEZONE -DSTANDALONE_ZAPATA -c -o ztcfg.o ztcfg.c cc -c -fPIC -I. -O4 -g -Wall -DBUILDING_TONEZONE

Inbound IAX2 calls has no music on hold
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hmm, My music on hold has always worked fine. But I discovered that under incoming IAX2 calls they don't get any MOH! All I could find was a comment saying let me know if you find a solution... Nor does the debugger does say: Started music on hold So it's not starting the MOH, why? I do have it configured and it does play under other

Dreadful results from zttest with TE210P and Dell 2850?
Hi list! I'm trying to setup a new * server with a TE210P in a Dell 2850 box. I'm using zaptel version 1.2.5, the linux flavour I'm using is CentOS 4. In a previous thread I read about the results I should expect from zttest. On my home box (using the crappy Asus A7V600) I got really bad results from zttest (just over 97.5) but I know that this motherboard just sucks. To my

Zaptel timing on TE405P
Hi, I'm wondering why zttest shows Best: 99.976 -- Worst: 99.967 -- Average: 99.971469, Difference: 99.971469 Shouldn't it be 100% as timing is hardware and comes from PRI? Am I missing some kernel config? Regards, Atis My /etc/zaptel.conf is span=1,4,0,esf,b8zs span=2,3,0,esf,b8zs span=3,2,0,esf,b8zs span=4,1,0,esf,b8zs #lspci 07:03.0 Communication controller: Digium, Inc. Wildcard

Music on hold problem
I can't seem to get music on hold working, it tries to work, but I just hear strange noises on the extension.. Here is some debug info. Looks like mpg123 starts fine, but I hear nothing. I'm on todays CVS build. -- Executing Answer("SIP/2203-062c", "") in new stack -- Executing MusicOnHold("SIP/2203-062c", "default") in new stack --

kjournald and zttest results
Hello! While performing some zttest's for some time today, I was also keeping an eye of a top of the machine. While the zttest was running, I also had a ssh-keygen and a dd creating a 5GB file on an EXT3 partition running. I noticed that for the most part, I got a decent number of 100%'s, and a bunch of 99.6%'s or higher. However, it seems that whenever the zttest dropped

Fax and Asterisk
Hi I am trying to build reliable fax solution with asterisk, iaxmodem and hylafax. I am attempting to do this on Compaq DL-360 with 2 pentium 3 1.2GHz (512 cache) and 2GB of RAM. I am using a Sangoma A101. After installing the newest zaptel and wanpipe-3.1.0 beta I did zttest and it didn't give me good results: 99.975586% 99.975586% 99.975586% 99.975586% 99.975586% 99.975586% 99.975586%

ztdummy, zttest
Hello, Today we setted up a server that needs to use MeetMe but doesn't have any Zap hardware. So we need to use ztdummy (at least, this was our idea). Rarely: zttest is not working at all (100% bad, using zttest -v doesn't give anything, etc.). Of course, after load ztdummy, there isn't any background or anything. It is the same kernel (Debian Etch default kernel, 2.6.18) than

TDM400P zttest not working
Hi, I have a TDM400P running with only one FXO port running on a VIA EPIA MS10000 (1Ghz Via Eden). When I run zttest from Zaptel 1.2.1 it hang and when I interrupt it with Ctrl-C that is the result: ?anyone have some idea about why isn't working? RAID affecting X100P performance...
I have a P3-800 with two IDE drives in a software RAID1 configuration. Each drive is on a separate IDE channel. Now anytime there is HD activity, I hear "beeps" and "cutting out" on a call using the X100P card. I ran the zttest program, and discovered HD activity would drop the accuracy down to between 2% and 50%. However I noticed if I disabled one drive in the RAID1

Music on hold volume too high - using built in music on hold.
Hi, I saw this problem mentioned before but the user appeared to be using the MP3 software with asterisk. I am using the native music on hold player in asterisk 1.2 and I too have a volume problem with music on hold. Is this controllable through the 'indications.conf'? I know this file controls frequency range for various sounds might it also control sound level or am I barking up
