"callpark" feature in ABE?
Hi All - Anyone know if the "callpark" feature is in ABE? Is there a comprehensive list of the differences between ABE and the open source version? I've only seen a bullet-point chart which has no real detail. Thanks, Noah

What changed in Directed PickUp between 1.6.1 and 1.6.2 ?
Hi, I'm banging my head over this. Usually, I'm using a SIP hardphone feature called "Call Pickup Starcode" to enhance BLF with Directed Call Pickup : basically, SIP hardphone (here a Thomson ST2030S) is configured to send an INVITE message whenever a BLF is pressed while blinking. The INVITE is build with the extension number (attached to the BLF that was blinking and pressed)

Beginner couple of questions
Dear all, I have some questions, I'm sure it's pretty stupid for most of you, but I need you guys to help me. Here are my questions: 1. Music On Hold, it doesn't play any sound on the parked call or hold call. But if I do ps-ax, it shows mpg123 .....( I forgot the exact line). I'm using slackware 9.1 2. I have fxs 3 port, and in my zapata.conf I have included callpickup=1-4,

parkcall: How to remove announcement.
Hello all, I want to park calls using the callpark application, but I don't want to hear the saydigit when the called is parked. To resolve this issue I use the following instruction in the dialplan: exten => _8XX,1,ParkAndAnnounce(|1000|local/10 at default|) Because local/10 at default is not defined to a peer I get a lot of warnings. :( Is there a better way to resolve this

Polycom call parking feature and Asterisk call parking
Hi: I want to make parking calls easier for my hard-working users. Is there a way to make the Polycom call park feature work with Asterisk? In case it just works out of the box, I haven't tried it yet; but the "call park" feature isn't enabled on the Polycom phones by default. -Stephen-

*8 and SIP
Greetings all, First time poster, Sorry if this has been answered here before. We recently replaced a failed 1.4x asterisk PBX at a customer location. Voicemail access was setup when the customer dialed *8, This worked in 1.4. Now, Running 1.6 (I know it's old I had to load it quickly, And that's what I got working first. It'll get upgraded to 1.8 soon). The strange part is *8 no

Polycom Park by EFK
Has anyone gotten one-touch call parking to work on Polycom phones via the Enhanced Feature Keys feature working? I've looked at various examples, they appear correct, but the phones (501, 3.1.x firmware) show the Park button while in a call but this does not actually cause the call to be parked. Doing a SIP debug, I don't see that anything is transmitted as a result of pressing the call

Polycom call parking feature and Asteriskcallparking
When you use the Park button, on some phones you have to hit "More" to get it. Then when you park it, it calls back and tells you the extension...so you have to hang up then pick up again. Callpark apparently is a valid extension! Bill -----Original Message----- From: asterisk-users-bounces@lists.digium.com [mailto:asterisk-users-bounces@lists.digium.com] On Behalf Of Stephen Bosch

Invalid ICMP error
To anyone who is well versed with samba, I am currently setup with ip masquerading with a cable modem connection to my ISP. I have an error message that continues to show up on my linux box. It says: 10.58.0.1 sent an invalid ICMP error to a broadcast. This means it is my linux box sending an invalid packet out through my modem. This started to happen when I installed samba. So I hav come

Trouble with *80, *82
Hi, I'm having trouble dialling the codes for blacklist & un-hide caller ID (*80 & *82) using a TDM400. I get reorder tone as soon as I dial *8, and in fact I can pick up calls with just *8 rather than *8# when there is one to be picked up. Ideas? Thanks, brad -- Brad Bergman <bradley@bergman.ca>

LMB question
Can somebody explain to me how the whole Local Master Browser thing works? I'm running samba across 3 subnets, and all the docs tell you to set up a Local Master Browser on each subnet. I couldn't find any documentation on how to actually do that so I used the remote announce option in smb.conf, and it's working great, but now there are two machines (one for each subnet outside of the

Windows and default --modify-window=0
Uhm... rsync developers: what do you think about changing the default modify-window in the Cygwin platform? It seems to me that many problems people have are just because of the granularity of timestamp. Maybe changing the default could be the best choice. That would be documented in the "man" and in my release announcement on cygwni-annouce, of course. Just an idea, maybe it's

BackgrounDRb background task runner and Application Wide Context Store
Friends- I''m happy to annouce the first alpa release of BackgrounDRb. This is a small framework for managing long running background tasks that allows for ajax progress bars and more. Question regarding custom announcements in queues.conf
Hey List, Anyone know the correct way to override an announcement on a queue by queue basis? My goal is to have one of my queues say "press one to blah.." and no position announcements I have the jump from queue context working (the press 1) I just need the correct message played to the user instructing to press 1. I have periodic-announce=filename in my queues.conf file under the
