Intermittent DTMF Problems
I've recently installed Asterisk-based servers at several of our branch offices. Each server has 2 X100P cards to handle 2 incoming voice lines. I was having a lot of trouble with Echo until I got OSLEC running on all of the servers, but now we have a new problem. Incoming callers are not always able to dial extensions. I would say probably 95% of the calls go through correctly, but

DTMF problems while greeting is playing (Background())
Hi, I have a Digium TE410p T1 card and I've noticed that under asterisk 1.4.17/18 I have problems detecting DTMF in IVRs. I think I've narrowed the problem down to some sort of interference between the greeting that is playing and the DTMF tones. DTMF detection seems to work very reliably when I am in Read() or WaitExten(), but is absolutely unusable while in Background(). I hope someone

DISA() fails to recognize dtmf where WaitExten() succeeds (DAHDI-PRI)
Is there any known reason that the DISA() routine should behave differently than WaitExten() as far as recognizing DTMF tones? If not, I suspect there's a bug here. Try it yourself--two DID's on our PRI, numbers below let you test each routine: It is my observation that some setups/phones DO and some DO NOT express this variance. --I could not show any variance on a sprint mobile phone

DTMF does not work
I got no resonses to this and some funny bounces so I'm trying again. First of all Merry Christmas. Second, my first problem with my provider not staying registered with our server was my fault. We moved our server room and I restarted the test system and the production system causing them to ping-pong back and forth registering with our provider causing random problems, they are both

Snom 300 MWI
I think I have my echo problem solved, now i need to tackle the MWI. I can't seem to get it to light up. I'm using Asterisk 1.4.14. Here's a section from my sip.conf for my test phone: [general] context=internal allowguest=no allowoverlap=no allowtransfer=yes notifyhold=yes bindport=5060 bindaddr=0.0.0.0 srvlookup=yes pedantic=yes vmexten=9998 at internal ;vmexten=*97

Distorted Audio for incoming DTMF
Does anyone have any idea what would cause distorted audio but ONLY for DTMF tones coming in over our analog lines. (The analog interfaces are X100P's). I have carefully adjusted the gains in the zapata.conf using a local test line after trying various settings with no gain or just random gain settings. RelaxDTMF has no effect. I set up a monitor command in my dial plan to capture

DTMF suddenly stopped working on SIP channel
Hi All, Anyone have any idea what could cause incoming calls on a SIP channel to no longer be able to use DTMF? DTMF on incoming calls on zaptel and on local SIP softphones and ATAs all work fine. Nothing gets registered in the CDR or on the console in verbose level 10, it just times out. I haven't changed anything on my part and can't get through to Viatalk tech support to ask them

Sending DTMF to PSTN problem with SIP
Dear All ~ I have * setup & running ok (with two Wildcard X100P's to PSTN). I also have two analog phones connected into same through a SIPURA 2000. These work fine, except that when I call out through PSTN & try to send DTMF tones to (say) a remote PBX to dial an extension, the gain seems to go wild (high), and the DTMF tones are not recognized at the other end. I tried setting the

DTMF issue
Hi Tom, Thank you for your informative and helpful reply. I had considered using the relaxdtmf setting but held off this due to not using any physical connection hardware -Asterik uses both SIP in and out from an upstream provider (Gradwell.com). Is it still possible to set this when using SIP trunks only and not physical hardware? The box does have a Digium ISDN card but the ISDN is no longer

ZAP TDM and DTMF issue
Hi, I'm curious if there is any other option beside relaxdtmf in zapata , or any where else to tune dtmf detection on TDM400 fxo boards. in one of our sites provider is giving us 4 analog lines out of Adtran router and Asterisk often recognize DTMF wrong. Obviously playing with relaxdtmf was not helpfull. What do we know anout 1.2 and 1.4 DTMF handling diffrences? At this time i'm using

DTMF issue
Ah I see, in theory it's possible then. We don't have any IVRs or anything which requires key presses, there isn't even voicemail on this particular phone system so I don't think it will be too much of a problem. I've also updated the firmware on the Cisco phones that have had the issue, just to see if that solves the issue but as it's been going on for a while, I'm

chan-capi and dtmf
Hi List, I'm having a problem with detecting incoming dtmf tones with chan_capi, using an AVM Fritz card. I have set up softdtmf and relaxdtmf, both to 0, expecting that the capi module will detect the tones, but it did not. I also set both to 1, expecting that the asterisk dsp functions will detect them but it did not either. Can anyone provide any ideas how to overcome this issue?

Asterisk DTMF 'talkoff' issues
Hi List, I am using Asterisk 1.6.2.18. One strange problem come into my knowledge after using this version of asterisk. Without pressing any digits or key from my mobile, I am getting DTMF into my asterisk server. For getting DTMF I have use one opensourse application which gets events from asterisk server and store into database. And after that I made my own script to gets these DTMF keys and

Transfer/Park Question.
I've got a situation where I need to use a transfer to the parking lot as hold, but am not going to use BLF indicators on the phone to pick up the parked calls so I need to hear the 3-digit extension after the transfer. I'm using Snom 300 phones and have tried setting a programmable button to Key Event F_TRANSFER 700, which successfully does the transfer but cuts off audio so you

Duplicate DTMF
Hello, all. I've come across a nasty problem just as we are ready to put our first system into production. During our final testing, we were plagued with several "invalid extension" or "password incorrect" messages when we knew the information entered was correct. Upon investigation, we saw that DTMF signals were occasionally but not consistently duplicated. We might

DTMF Recognition
Hi, is there a possibility to tell zaptel or Asterisk to modify the DTMF sensibility? The problem what i have is that the Asterisk don't get all Numbers which the analog-FAX dial, let say the FAX dial 123456789 the Asterisk get to number 24679. I think that can be to DTMF Tone duration or the Frequenzy. so you got yna idea what it could be? Thx for helping me. Bye Timm

Multiple DTMF digits on 7960
Hello all. We have an asterisk system set up, and we are seeing a lot of multiple DTMF digits being read by asterisk. In digging through the archives the only answer I have seen is to put in the statement relaxdtmf=yes in the zapata.conf file. Since we are not using any zapata devices, I have tried to put that statement in my sip.conf file to no avail. Any help would be appreciated as my end
