Zaprtc compile error - virtual device for conferencing
Hi,
I don't have a zaptel device for conferencing.
I read from the lists, that
ztdummy and zaprtc need to be installed to get conferencing.
I could able to compile successfully with ztdummy and when i receive the
call it says,
-- Goto (13732,s,1)

I have 2 X100P cards but neither work on my Compaq DL360 G2. The system

Timing source on SMP system - Disable RTC for zaprtc
Does anyone know where to disable rtc support on redhat 9.0 using make
menuconfig?
I thought I disabled it but still got the following error when trying to
make zaprtc:

zaprtc.c:719: storage size of `rtc_fops' isn't known

Re: [Asterisk-Dev] Use the Meetme application with another module thanUSB-UHCI
I ran in to an almost impossible ability to run MeetMe on our poweredge. Our
PE is a 4 proc with OHCI and we had no need to buy any PCI cards other than
for running MeetMe. If you know how to recompile your kernel, recompile it
and make RTC a module (its compiled in by default). Then you can use zaprtc
as your timing source. Be sure to `rmmod rtc` before you `insmod zaprtc`
because zaprtc is a

Problems with MeetMe accepting conference PIN
Hi,
I know this question may have been asked before (although the archives
don't seem to suggest it), but has anyone had any problems with Asterisk
accepting a PIN number for a conference room.
At this point in time I have established the conference definition in
the meetme.conf file as well as specifying the appropriate lines in the
extensions.conf file.

Any help would be appreciated as I am a novice trying to work around a

This is what the zaprtc helpfile says:

error loading meetme module
Hi all,
I'm configuring meetme in asterisk but no luck. I dont have a digium card,
so based on the wiki, i have to install the zaptel driver and enable the
ztdummy on it. I compiled, install the module and enable it on the
module.conf. When i tried to start the asterisk, asterisk wont start because
of the error in loading the meetme module.

Timing source on SMP system
I need a timing device for the DL360G2 for conferencing and meetme. For
a timing device I have 2 X100P cards but neither will work in my
DL360G2. The system will not even boot with either card in the system.
Other PCI cards seems to work fine. I called Digium support and was told
that there must be a conflict between the card and my Compaq DL360G2.
I then moved on to ztdummy. I'm sure the

MeetMe - Party's are not exchanging Audio - Is this BUG?
Hi All,
I observed the following in my try towards Multiparty Conferencing.
I am establishing the Multiparty Conferencing through Asterisk Manager API.
I have two users SIP/111 and SIP/101 of which SIP/101 is treated as leader.
Following commands are used -
Action: Originate
Channel: SIP/111
Application: MeetMe

Fwd: Asterisk on Solaris 10 (AMD Opteron, Sun Fire X2100)
Hello all,
I really appreciate the replies I've gotten about this so far
(especially the support for wanting to run it on Solaris!).
The core issue seems to have been missed, though -- is there any way
to run a complete Asterisk solution on Solaris 10 (including
music-on-hold and conferencing)? This probably comes down to a few issues:
- Is ztdummy (a component of Zaptel) *really*

MeetMe & ztdummy
I'm running into a bit of a problem setting up conference calls. The box
I rent at a colo doesn't seem to have USB hardware.... When I try to load
usb-uhci I receive a "device does not exist" error. Which means I can't
load ztdummy....
The system has a rtc clock module, so zaprtc won't work... (which I'm
scared to unload rtc because I don't have physical access

[OT] Commercial conferencing solution?
This is not directly * related, but could be. My company is
using a VoIP conferencing solution that is suffering from
developer neglect.
I've considered trying to leverage *, and our internal developers
can build the management interfaces. If that plan is not accepted
by management, I need to find a commercial solution that works.

Any thoughts on the following?
I am running asterisk from CVS (downloaded yesterday's
version, just to be sure) on a test system with no
digium cards in it, so I have installed ztdummy (see
logs and screenshots below) as a timing source.
When I call the music on hold extension from a Sipura

I do not have any zaptel hardware on the Asterisk box, I could not have

newbie question: Meetme
Yes, I am a newbie too. I am having a problem with meetme. From what I
have seen it will work without a Digium card but with audio problems. My
goal is just to see how it works not the quality of the audio.
When I dial into the conference room the following message is played:
"That is not a valid conference number."
On the console I get: "unable to open pseudo channel".

MeetMe Conferencing - Announce your own join/leave to yourself and other conference members
Hi all,
I'm trying to get the MeetMe system to take a caller and announce to them they've joined the conference in addition to the other members of the conference assuming previous members of the conference >= 1.
I can see where the meetme.c app actually processes it using the ast_pthread_create_background(&conf->announcethread, NULL, announce_thread, conf); function. The

ZAPRTC question(s)
I have a system with no Digium hardware in it (two others with 2 X100P
cards in each of them as well). I'm interested in using MeetMe in the
one without the hardware (it works great in the ones with the
hardware). I can't use ztdummy, because the system has usb-ohci
drivers, rather than usb-uhci.
I have read the little there is about zaprtc, and I am wondering
