app_sms woes
Hi, ok, I've tried to understand the documentation... and I think it's just bypassing my brain completely... Can anyone offer any assistance... Here's what I'm attempting to do: a) 1. Create a text file in the correct format and put it in the sc-me.<exten> folder where <exten> is the phone extension. 2. Hoping that this would then be parsed and sent to my Panasonic

app_sms not working anymore
Hi, I have been using app_sms for a few weeks now, since I recently upgrade to asterisk 1.2.9.1 (latest bristuff, -q) however, app_sms doesn't seem to work that well anymore.. On receiving an sms, I execute the app_sms script, and get this as output: -- Accepting voice call from '171701' to 'ournumber' on channel 0/1, span 2 -- Executing Goto("Zap/4-1",

ATA FXO
I'm looking for a reliable ATA FXO/FXS adapter. Linksys 3102 - a lot of echo problem + two of them died within a year (not reliable) Sangoma USBFXO - problem installing drive in Gentoo. I've tried two Chines units: AG-188N and YGW30B none are of them have real FXO port that will register with Asterisk. Any other recommendations; (I don't like internal cards). -- Joseph

app_sms - rocks!
Ok, I just thought I'd publicly pat Adrian Kennard (revk) on the back for this application. This is an excellent contribution and gets my vote for app of the year. For those that aren't aware app_sms allows you to send/receive fixed line sms messages from asterisk. ( you can take a look at a quick page showing this http://www.automated.it/asterisk/sms.html ).. I should point out that

app_sms: using * as an smsc
Hi, i've been discovering app_sms and it states that it can act as an smsc for landline sms. Receiving SMS from my Gigaset Phones is no problem and the SMS are stored as files on by * box. So far so good. Let us assume that i have a couple of phones which should be able to receive SMS directly from my * box ( and not from an SMSC from BT or Deutsche Telekom ), So all these phones have

Ubuntu: World of Warcraft 3.3.5a OpenGL and Intel GMA issue
ok, I'll get straight to the point: I'm trying to run World of Warcraft (Version 3.3.5 Build 12340) and I have an Intel GMA 4500MHD Integrated chipset, and I can login just fine, but when it tries to render a character, it crashes and spits out an error via the WowError.exe, and if I don't use OpenGL, it can play, but the FPS will spike horribly at random times, and all player

Re: Rails Digest, Vol 18, Issue 525
Down here in South America, you can imagine we have to deal with this problem of character encoding all the time. It is not that UTF-8 is better than ISO-8859-1, or vice-versa, any more than French is better than Spanish. UTF-8 is more like an English, which is spoken (for better or worse) as the lengua franca most anyplace, while ISO-8859-1 is Latin specific (can''t handle Chinese).

Display borked when loading FONT
Hello, I am a happy user of syslinux since 3.x. I've been able to load a font to display French accented charecters since then, but it not the case anymore, as problems have started to raise with syslinux 5.x. program : EXTLINUX, ISOLINUX (same behaviour) In extlinux.conf, the culprit is : FONT=lat9w16 This font is taken from 'kbd' package, named lat9w-16.psfu. It contains a

SMS in the U.S.
A potential client wants to integrate cell phones into his PBX offering. Is anyone able to exchange messages between an * system and a mobile phone? Which gateway are you using and what are the charges? Do you use app_SMS? I know this can be done because I'm receiving spam SMS on my cell phone. Thanks, Mike
