Call tracing - Asterisk 1.4
Hi guys
I've just read this about the upcoming release of * 1.6:
?Better reporting through a new call event logging capability in Asterisk
1.6 will allow complete tracking of events that take place during a call.
The goal, according to Fleming, is to provide more detail than traditional
CDR (Call Detail Recording) features offer and to allow for more granular
tracking and auditing.?

[URGENT] Zap channels fail to load
I have spent some time this morning trying to add an Astribank to our
current Asterisk, but it failed, so I just removed the hardware,
restore the config files to the original setup and started asterisk.;
I could see that no Zap channels are started so I did load chan_zap.so:

IAXModem/Hylafax problem
I think I'm very close to getting IAXModem and Hylafax going, but my
current inbound hylafax logs show this:
Feb 23 10:09:37.98: [ 3638]: MODEM <Empty line>
Feb 23 10:09:37.98: [ 3638]: MODEM TIMEOUT: waiting for v.21 carrier
Two questions -
1) Does anyone know what step I missed here? (I.e. please help!)
2) Is there a document I should be working off of? Google doesn't seem

nls segmented model with unknown joint points
Hello,
I am interested in fitting a segmented model with unknown joint points
in nls and perhaps eventually in nlme. I can fit this model in sas (see
below, joint points to be estimated are a41 and a41), but am unsure how
to specify this in the nlm function. I would really appreciate any
suggestions or example code. Thanks a lot. -andy

strange strsplit gsub problem 0 is this a bug or a string length limitation?
I was working with the rmetrics portfolioBacktesting function and dug into
the code to try to find why my formula with 113 items, i.e. A1 thru A113,
was being truncated and I only get 85 items, not 113.
Is it due to a string length limitation in R or is it a bug in the strsplit
or gsub functions, or in my string?
I'd very much appreciate any suggestions

Aastra ignore call button hangs up call instead of going to voicemail
I have a Asterisk server (PBX in a Flash) with Aastra 57i phones. When
there is an incoming call the phone will display two buttons "answer"
and "ignore". If you press "ignore" the call is dropped instead of sent
to voice mail. The following is the log:
-- Called 111
-- SIP/111-00001c14 is ringing
-- Got SIP response 486 "Busy Here" back from

How to get all possible combinations?
Dear all, suppose I have a vector with elements as:
Vec <- c(2,3,4,5,6)
Now I want to have all possible combination of length 3 using those
elements and without any repetition. Like, I want to have 1
possibility like 2-3-4 but not 3-2-4.
Can somebody guide me how to achieve that in R?
Thanks for your help.

(OT) HylaFAX, IAXModem, Asterisk
I have all three running on the same box. I say OT because it appears
asterisk is doing it's job just fine. It must be an IAXmodem or
faxgetty (hylafax) problem
When faxes work, they look great. I have ten IAXmodems setup with
different ports and they register fine. I have ten faxgettys that
startup fine. I start the IAXmodems and then faxgettys in inittab.
They are setup as a roll

Howto view function's source code of an installed package
Hi,
Is there a way I can view the functions source code of a
package I installed in my PC.
For example I downloaded the great "mixtools" package.
I want to see the source code of one of its function "normalmixEM"
Is there a way to do it? Presumably from R command prompt?
I tried to take a look at the zip file, but somehow I can't seem
to find the file on which I can

Asterisk is not showing the correct Incomming CallerID
Hi Everyone,
I have an asterisk box in my office. It does not display the correct Incomming Caller id.
For incomming we are using ISDN Bri line which is terminated in a Digium 4 port bri card (B410P).
Like if a number say 02 12345678 calls to our line asterisk displays it 12 12345678.
Similarlay if a mobile number say 0416 123456 dials us , asterisk displays 1416 123456.
I am not sure where the

problems with hylafax + iaxmodem + asterisk1.8.5
Hi!
from 2 days I'm trying to run hylafax server and iaxmodem with Asterisk 1.8.5.
I have 2 computers in the lan, one is the Asterisk PBX and the other is the server with hylafax and iaxmodem installed.
In Asterisk I set up an IAX trunk in this way:

Can't recieve Fax: No carrier detected - Asterisk + iaxmodem + Hylafax
I'm able to recieve fax with pure SpanDSP 0.0.2 + Asterisk successfully
but I have problems with some fax machine so I wanted to try using
HylaFax to recieve Fax instead of SpanDSP hoping that it'll solve my
problem. I'm trying to connect Asterisk with SpanDSP using iaxmodem. My
system looks like this:
ISDN <---> Asterisk <---> IAXModem <---> Hylafax

faxdetect questions - Please HELP!
I'm using IAXmodem and Hylafax with 'faxdetect=incoming' and things mostly
work pretty well. My main lines come in via T1 DID. Today, HR got tired of
having someone read and forward their faxes to them and requested we bring
their physical machine back on line. I have been able to get the fax
forwarded to the appropriate zap channel, but I cannot seem to get it to
stop

IAXmodem 1.0
Has anyone built an rpm for Centos 5 and IAXmodem 1.0?
I need it, and I thought to ask before struggling to get it. The
Trixbox people are saying a couple of weeks still on their side...

Current version of IAXModem
Trixbox is supplying a rather old version of IAXModem, 0.1.14, where
current is 0.3
Does anyone know of where a version is available more current than 0.1.14?

Wrinkled faxes or missing lines with Hylafax + IAXModem + Asterisk
Hello.
We are running Asterisk 1.2.23 iaxmodem-0.2.1 and hylafax-4.3.3
When we send faxes the people who receive the faxes complain that they
look wrinkled or smashed up. Sometimes they are missing random lines.
Has anyone seen this happen, or know how to fix it?
