Hello, I am wanting to close a specific channel for example; SofthangUp(SIP/EXTEN-UNIQUEID) but the problem is the channel is assigned a unique id as well. The need fits into the idea of receiving a call from a higher status user and thus closing a specific channel to allow the higher priority call to route through the dial plan to the freed extension. Hello, I'm new to asterisk and this list. The ISO download appears to have 1.6 with the FreePBX GUI but I am looking to use the Asterisk GUI. The only option for the Asterisk GUI is to use 1.4. Is it as simple as installing 1.6 only then using the yum repository to install the Asterisk GUI? If so, what packages are needed? Thanks!

Anyone tried this, I put in an Asterisk/FreePBX phone system to replace one of those el cheapo Bizfon analog key systems. The Bizfon was able to do follow me to analog lines but I do not believe the capability is in Asterisk. Of course now it becomes the one feature they cannot do without.
