Version 1.1.2 CHM Documentation File
I finally got around to compiling the Rails 1.1.2 Documentation into a
CHM file this morning.
You can download the file directly from here:
http://delynnberry.com/files/rails-documentation-1-1-2.chm.
Let me know if you encounter any problems with the file.

wine and windows help
I'm trying to determine if it's possible to use the help system of windows
applications running under wine and what I might need to do before it
works. I just started using wine again after a long hiatus. I only run one
application under wine, xmlspy. I'd like to get its help system working
under wine. If I select anything from the help menu nothing happens right
now. Is it supported?

Opening/associating help files with native viewer, Mac OS X
Hi all,
I'm running the latest version of Wine for Mac OS X and I'd like to have help files open automatically with my native CHM viewer, iChm.
The command to open files from the OS X command line is pretty simple, and works fine for me. I tried to follow the steps on the FAQ under 'I want to associate some Linux program with a file type in Wine

How to get it running...
Hello List,
i have a spelling and reading software i would like to get running for a
primary school because they should not be using windows and the teachers
really want that software.
I have already tried to get it running with a few people in #winehq, but
it seems that its more a guessing game than a streight debugging and
solving way.
What steps do i need to do to get it running?

Serial port woes
I am trying to get an app called GMWIN running. It installs and runs,
but it cannot communicate via the serial ports. It is a controller for
PLCs, and its purpose is to talk to PLCs via serial ports, so this is
essential...
Here's the error I am getting (the NIY-hEvent is repeated many times):

Windows help (winhlp32)
Is there a way of getting an application to use the Windows native winhlp32.exe?
Although I've replaced the exe in c:\windows and c:\windows\system32 my application (Borland Paradox7) still invokes the Wine help (which is broken as it doesn't display the Contents and Search and is full of 'not yet implemented' messages).
So I assume the DDI call from Paradox is being routed to

Strange window behavior
I run several programs under Wine. Specifically, I'm running the win32 half-life server, hlds.exe, and the program TotalCommander, a windows file manager program. If I try to minimze either of these programs, they minimize and immediately pop back up again. Is there a way to stop this from happening so that when I minimze them, they minimize and stay minimized?

Hello!
I'm trying to install the software "Garmin City Navigator
Europe NT v9" for a Garmin StreetPilot c510 - a GPS navigation
device.
When I run the installer in wine 0.9.26 on Gentoo, it finally
errors out with a useless error message in the GUI. On the starting
terminal I find:

com ports
Hi everyone,
I am in the last stages of converting my business to Linux. All software is
now open-source or running under wine. Except one. The software supplied by
my bank. This runs fine under wine apart from the dialup to the bank. No
matter what settings I use for the modem, I always get the message that the
modem cannot be initialised.
Here's what I have confirmed so far:

World Of Warcraft
Hi,
I am sure there where a lot of questions to this toppic already but I
would like to ask if someone has the same problems. I looked a bit in
the archieve with no result.
I usually set my wine config up with winesetuptk.
There I can choose between Managed and unmanaged Windowmanagement.
(If the windowing is controlled by X or by wine.)
Now both work great. My only Problem is that I have a
