Missing "zap" command in Asterisk 1.4.16
Hi list,
I've just compiled and installed Asterisk 1.4.16 and when I try to run "zap
show" I get the message "*No such command 'zap show'*".
I have a Sangoma Remora A400D with 2 FXS / 10 FXO ports, I've installed the
latest wanpipe too.
zaptel-1.4.7.1 was compiled from the wanpipe installation, so I don't know
what's happening here!!!
Any ideas???

As these devices are not available anymore, we are looking for alternatives.
Are there any similar devices available ?

Newbie Questions
I've been doing a lot of reading over the last few weeks on Asterisk,
and will be implementing a test system this week to play with.
I've got two questions in regards to the ideal implementation for our
company. First, has anyone written any drivers to interface with
proprietary phones? Specifically we have a comdial system and if we
could use our existing 35 phones instead of having to

Answered Call marked as "NO ANSWER"
Hi list,
I'm having problems transferring certain calls made by the attendant between
the PSTN and to an internal extension. Although, transfers between the
majority of the calls ends successfully.
Debugin this, I've found that calls made to certain "numbers" (Telephony
Providers), aren't detected as ANSWERED in the CDR, so they are not properly
accounted (for billing),

supervision. Verify if for those "numbers" the CO revert the line

callprogress=no is a good test too.

Comdial PBX -- can use Asterisk as VM box?
Hi! I've got a Comdial PBX that I would dearly love to replace with an
Asterisk box. However, for various reasons, it appears not to be in the
cards. Regardless of what management does, or does not, want, our
current VM solution -- some Dialogic card with a "KeyVoice" application
-- is dying. I'm 90% sure it's hardware. I'd rather shoot myself than

How to transfer an unanswered call???
Hi list,
I'm wondering if it's possible to transfer a call that is still ringing???
Actually, the problem is that my telco provider doesn't offer an uniform
method for answer/disconnection supervision, and by that I mean, some of
it's line (I think) offer a polarity reversal, but other lines (of the same
service provider) do not offer anything at all, so the answer of a call

SPA112: one analog phone works, not the other
Hello,
I'm preparing a setup before installing it within the next few days.
In this setup, I'm using a SPA112 as an ATA for an analog phone.
The target phone is a Gigaset A400 DECT handset.
In my lab, I've got another A400 handset and an old Matracom 46 handset.
When I connect my Matracom 46 handset to my SPA112, I can send and
receive calls.
When I connect my A400 handset to the

foneBRIDGE2 vs. foneBRIDGE2-EC
Hello,
I'm trying to decide between the foneBRIDGE2 ($1135) and foneBRIDGE2-EC
($1610).
Has anyone here directly compared the two? Would we really suffer
without the onboard echo cancellation? The manufacturer's site doesn't
really give much helpful information about choosing one over the other.
Thanks.

Problem routing call to fax machine on DAHDI FXS port
I am running Asterisk 1.6.2.17.2 with a Openvox A400 card with 2FXO/2FXS
modules. I'm trying to set-up things to route analog fax calls from a
FXO port to an analog fax machine on a FXS port on the same card.
Outgoing faxes work just fine. But incoming faces are routed to the
right DAHDI extension, but the call dropped right as the fax machine
rings for the first time. The fax machine

External MW Lamp On/Off
One of the connections my asterisk PBX has is an analog
extension from a Comdial hybrid.
On the Comdial system, message waiting is turned on by dialing
*3 and then the station number.
It is turned off by dialing #3 and the station number.
I was wanting to have Asterisk (or Comedian mail) set the
message lamp in the Comdial system when a new message arrives for a
user, and extinguish the lamp

Re: Newbie Questions - Grandstorm phones?
Thanks everyone for the input. After pricing everything we need out,
it's not worth trying to get our old system to work, so I've pitched
ditching everything and starting over. I'm very excited and hoping
they'll go for it.
Regardless, I'm going to throw a box together for my house, we have no
home phone (just cell phones) so this'll be a great way of testing.

zapata.conf for non pri T1?
Hi again, I'm trying to setup our non pri T1 (they call it a Long Distance
T1), our current pbx has the signaling set to E&M, I can set em in
zapata.conf, but I'm trying to track down the proper entries for the
zaptel.conf file. The digium docs only show a PRI example. Our current
system has these settings:
Signalling: E&M
Framing mode: ESF
Line Coding: B8SZ

RedFone foneBRIDGE2 2e1 - anyone used it or another TDMoE bridge?
I've been asked to look at deploying Asterisk in a high availability
environment and I've been looking so I've been searching for methods to
decouple the voice PRI circuits from the Asterisk server so failover to
another server could take place.
I've been looking at the RedFone foneBRIDGE2 2e1 product here:

Zaptel.conf and multiple T1 woes
Hello. New to the list. We're in the process of deploying Asterisk.
Actually, we're going live tomorrow, and I just found out that my Zaptel
cards have been mis-configured.
I'll preface this by saying that I have looked in the wiki, read through
the samples, and attempted to call Digium (they're closed.) So I'm
praying that someone on the list can help me out!
