Crashes on launch with runaway blank error message windows
New, clean, basic install of Xubuntu 10.04 on older 256MB 400MHz Celeron.
Wine 1.1.42-0ubuntu4 from us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ lucid/universe Packages
When launching winecfg or a Windows app, opens window for app, then starts opening infinite "error" windows that are blank. Only way to stop is to restart.
Is there a log somewhare? Happen to anybody else?

Open/Save issue
I'm not sure if this is a bug, or if this is specifically related to my current install. I remember about six months ago using Wine on Ubuntu, and I believe it worked fine... So maybe it's an issue with my install. (I'm on PCLinuxOS 2007 if that helps. I'm running the latest Wine, I had to compile it myself... the latest one in the Synpatic is about 7 versions old.)
Anyways,

OneNote on a DualBoot system
I have a Toshiba laptop that came with Windows XP and OneNote
installed. I then installed Ubuntu Dapper Drake and am dual-booting
the system. I want to run OneNote on Ubuntu with WINE. Obviously I
could set up WINE to use the dual-booting native DLLs (but I don't know
how to do that), and I can't install OneNote directly on Ubuntu with
WINE because while I have a legal copy of the full

Prey and OpenGL
I have installed Prey onto my pc running PCLinuxOS
following the instructions in
http://frankscorner.org/index.php?p=prey
or
http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=application&iId=3465
and tried running it. I then found I needed the nocd patch, which I downloaded and applied.
I then tried cd to the app folder, then wine prey.exe with the following result:
