TFTP problems on FC4
Greetings to all.
I am hoping someone can help me out with a problem I am having getting my
Cisco phones, 7960s and 7940s, to download the appropriate files from our
TFTP server. The TFTP server is running on Fedora Core 4.
The TFTP server appears to be setup properly:

autodialed call forwarding via meetme or queue (was predictive dialer)
Also posting this question to people working on manager interface and
dialers.
I have a simple auto dialing script (using Originate) that forwards all
incoming calls to a queue full of waiting agents instead of a meetme
conference room. I use queues rather than meetme so I can leave the
automatic call distribution to the queue itself.
The problem is when the calls reach the agents, some of the

TFTP to be installed in Linux same asterisk machine to be used with Cisco
Hi All;
Any one can suggest a TFTP server to be installed in Fedora (same machine that Asterisk is installed) to be used for Cisco IP Phones to download the required firmware and configuration files.
Thanks for the help in advance.

Aastra 57i / 57i CT phones fail to re-register
Hi,
Has anyone had experience with the Aastra 57i / 57i CT phones?
The problem I'm having is that the phone isn't re-registering itself
with the Asterisk server. As a result, the phone loses the
registration with the server and is no longer able to receive incoming
calls. Outgoing calls work fine.
Right now, I have the following sip registration settings:
sip registration period: 180

A little OT but need an opinion on Aastra 57i CT
Hello All,
I have a need for a wireless solution and have been looking at the
Aastra 57i CT phone that have the wireless handset with them. Aastra
says they will cover "up to 300,000 square feet".
I am finding this hard to accept. I was also wondering about the
"secure WDCT cordless technology" Could this be a form of DECT?
Any one using these that can shed some lite?

help diagnosing tftp server on centos 5
Hi all,
I have a centos 5 box I have setup, current with updates. (I have done
this many times on centos 4).
I did the yum install tftp-server, changed the /etc/xinetd.d/tftp file
as shown.

Issue with Asterisk & Aastra 57i at v3.2
I recently tried to update my Aastra 57i to version 3.2 and ran into
a problem. It won't properly register and says "contact mismatch".
I added "sip contact matching: 2" to aastra.cfg, but that didn't help.
When I look at the SIP trace, but I see is the Aastra sending a
REGISTER and Asterisk replying with the 401. The phone then sends
the REGISTER again, this time

Extension status as XML for an Aastra 57i
I'm in the process of converting our current hybrid key system to
Asterisk and Aastra 57i phones. One of the features that seems to be a
show stopper for almost everyone in the office is the inability to see
who is on the phone. Can someone point in the right direction to setup
an XML app on the phone so they can press a soft-button and get a list
of extensions and their statuses? I know I can

Problem between Asterisk and an Aastra 57i
Hi,
I'm currently trying to connect an Aastra 57i to our Asterisk Server.
The strange thing is, that altough I have definitely entered the correct
IP address of the server, the phone doesn't even attempt to register.
Here is the configuration file (local.cfg) of the phone:

ConfBridge no audio problem
We're encountering no audio issues in ConfBridge.
Only the moderator and the 1st invited have audio.
When the 2nd invited number picks up the phone, only the announcement is
heard, then followed by silence.
This occurs frequently. Only 1 out of 5 test calls do not have this problem.
We were hoping that switching from MeetMe to ConfBridge will solve the no
audio issue, since there's no

Off Topic: Disable Polycom Soundpoint DoNotDisturb Feature
We have set the do not disturb feature on our polycom phone such that
incoming calls will not be rejected and sent to 'Busy' status.
The user can still toggle dnd on/off, but incoming calls will still get in,
indicated by the blinking light and the screen status.
We were able to do that by setting call.rejectBusyOnDnd="0" in sip.cfg.
However, the problem is that there is still

Aastra phones and park/pickup feature
We are installing Aastra phones (480's and 57i's) into a fairly simple
asterisk setup. Although call park & pickup work fine using xfer to 700 (to
park), dial 701 (to pickup), we are unable to make the park/pickup softkey
feature work on the aastra's.
Although we've programmed the softkeys per the manuals, they seem to have no
effect (just dead). For example, our 57i is

tftp times out
tftp keeps timing out when I try to transfer files. I intend to use tftp with G4U to clone
a standard workstation. I am testing it between two Dell poweredge servers running CentOS

"tftp>status" shows it is talking to the other box
"tptp>trace" shows "sent WRQ

DHCP Attribute for TFTP server for Aastra 480i?
I have this Aastra 480i phone, and you can set the TFTP server IP address manually in the phone, but there should be a way to have it find the TFTP server information via DHCP. Does anyone know if this is possible, and if so, what is the attribute I have to set on my DHCP server? Thanks!

[CentOS 5] tftp-server, unable to create new files (even with "-c" option)
Hi all,
I'm trying to setup a TFTP server to serve as repository for the
config of all my Cisco network devices.
As per the the tftpd man, I've added the "-c" option into the /etc/
xinetd.d/tftp (as follows) but I still cannot get write access
(unless the file is already present).
[root at chl1 ~]# cd /etc/xinetd.d
[root at chl1 xinetd.d]# cat tftp

OT - How to organize TFTP root directory ?
Hi,
Most (if not all) IP phones support provisioning through DHCP/TFTP.
The trouble is some phones seem to require to store their config files in
TFTP root directory.
This makes this TFTP root directory a bit messy.
What are the best practices or tricks to manage this TFTP root directory ?
I was thinking of either :
1. building a dedicated source TFTP tree in which files are cleanly
organized
