Parking on an extension
Hi
Is there any way to park a call on an extension. Say a customer calls
in and wants to speak with Steve. Steve is currently on the phone. How
can I park the call so that when Steve hangs up his phone immediately
rings and he is connected to the parked call.
Thanks

Polycom Park Button
Hi
I have a Polycom 501 phone. I set the park feature to 1 in sip.cfg and
the button shows up just fine. However when you press it it does
nothing. I have the t and T in the dial string. Is there some trick to
getting it to work with asterisk 1.4.
Thanks

asterisk call parking + SNOM lighted buttons?
I'm trying to get call parking working with the lighted buttons on the
SNOM 200. I have set the 5 buttons to "Park Orbit", for extensions 700-704.
Pressing the first button (x700) does park the call. However, the
remaining buttons (x701-704) don't allow me to pick up parked calls, or
show parking status via the LEDs. I can only pick up parked calling by
manually dialing the

Grandstream GXW-4008
I'm trying to use a GXW-4008 for the first time to provide simple POTS. Is
anyone using it?
How about samples of SIP.CONF and EXTENSIONS.CONF?
Do you have advice for configuring the GXW-400x for this application?
How long a local loop will it support on the FXS ports?
When I started to configure the unit, I was able to connect via the WAN
port. Now I'm unable to connect to

AA50 Paging
Hi
I just got an AA50 from Digium and the paging command reboots
asterisk when you use it. Digium says it is a requested feature and is
of low priority. Is there any other way to page 10 Grandstream gxp2000
phones with meetme or some other command than the page command.
Thanks in advance.

Call Parking Grandstream
I have an asterisk setup using asterisk 1.2.4 and a mix of grandstream
phones - BT 102 and GXP 200.
The problem I having is with call parking. Isn't it suppose to announce
the extension where the call is being parked to the person parking the
call at the time the call is being parked.
How ever in my setup I hear nothing but if I dial the default parked
extension I get back the call.

DSl and more then 1 call
Hi
I have 2 asterisk servers running 1.2.12.1 and IAX2 with trunking and no jitterbuffer. Both servers are using sccp2 with 7940's and 7960's with 7914. Server 1 is my main VOIP server and is connected to the pstn and VOIP wholesale provider. Sever 2 is a branch site and all calls go to server 1. If I make 1 call on server 2 everything is fine. If I make a 2nd call so there a two calls

Grandstream GSX-2000 - dead :-(
I have a Grandstream GSX-2000 with ..
Software Version: Program-- 1.0.0.3 Bootloader-- 1.0.0.3
I tried to do an HTTP update from the Grand Stream web site...
After half an hour, I recycled power and now its dead... LED's come on
and stay on, screen and buttons are dead. Connectivity to
Grandstream.com was always good - whenever I checked (I downloaded the

Doorphone vs. Grandstream BT101
I've done all the googling I can on this, and have come to the
conclusion that a Grandstream BT101 can be abused to be a door phone.
Could someone with access to one, confirm that the following is possible?
Researched:
1. When set to auto-answer, dialing the phone will result in a short
beep and instant speaker-phone connection.
2. When pressing the "message" button while

parking - why doesn't this work?
I'm trying to implement parking with only one button to park and unpark a call.
Scenario:
Call is answered, I press the button (on a Cisco SPA504) to park the call, it comes to [from-office] context where the call is parked successfully (there is no parking lot number announcement though).
To unpark, I press the same button, it comes to [from-office] context, and the call is picked

snom 200 and call parking?
Has anyone used the programmable buttons on the SNOM 200 with Asterisk
call parking? Do they work "nicely" together - i.e., do the LEDs show
which parking spots are in use, and does the press-to-park button
function work?

Grandstream Voicemail
I finally got my Asterisk all setup and everything seems to be working
except for menu interaction between my Grandstream Budge Tone 100 and my
Asterisk. I have the SIP phone setup to properly connect when pressing the
'Message' button and that's working perfectly. When the menu starts, it
says press 1 to read your messages, but pressing 1 (or any number) fails to
send. Does anyone

Grandstream Programmable Buttons & Retrieving On Hold Lines
A day of banging my head against a wall and spamming this list is about
done....
I've got everything working beautifully, and I'm ready to go full out
and implement all across the board...save for one stupid little thing.
We have 6 phone lines and I'd like the GXP-2000 to show the status of
these 6 phone lines down, as well as allow a user to pick a specific
line, the right hand

Grandstream Firmware 1.0.5.16 Attended Transfer
I've searched for a few days now without finding an answer. The
release notes for version 1.0.5.16 of the Grandstream firmware says it
supports attended transfer using replace but the docs haven't been
updated so I can't work out how to enable it, or whether it should

Musiconhold and Parking crash
One problem I noticed when I was testing was that if I use the flash
button
twice in a conversation, asterisk will crash. Does anybody have no idea
why?
MusicOnHold Problem:
I'm really not understanding that feature. I know it works, because I
can set up an
Extension that plays the musiconhold music.

Non automated call parking
>From discussions with the receptionist staff, this is what we need:
X number of buttons for parking slots.
These buttons should be lit when a call is parked there.
When on a call, just pushing an unlit button will park the call. (The do not want to hit hold, transfer, etc.)
Hitting Transfer and the button would most likely be OK.
To pick up a call, they can push the parking slot button.

Polycom IP601 call parking
One more Polycom IP601 question please (sorry for the long intro here
to document) ...
In order to closely approximate the behavior of the previous telephone
system that many of the users are familiar with, I have set up call
parking like this:
- features.conf [general] section contains:
parkext => ** ; What extension to dial to park
parkpos => 10-11 ; What

Parking a call a second time using #700..
Hi all,
Is there anyway you get Asterisk to let you park a call a second time via pressing the # key + 700 (or whatever is in features.conf) ?
If you get a call out of the parking lot & hit # again it just sends the DTMF tone down the line and nothing happens..
A few posts have hinted that you cannot blind transfer a parked call, but surely there must be some way around this as I can

Quick summary of Grandstream survey results
Here is a quick tally of the various things people
asked for..
I'm going to go thru the list and weight the results
based on my scale of 1-10. This is just a count of
each "item", otherwords how many times that item
came up. Some things I considered as bugs and lumped
them as bug-fixes
For the various requests for codec's I broke out which
ones people where asking for.
