Bridging Video Calls using Zap
Hi!
For demonstration purposes I try to bridge an incoming video call from a
3G mobile handset to another 3G mobile handset using asterisk as "switch".
On the incoming call leg I see all expected bearer capabilities
(Digital, 64k Transparent, G.7xx 384k video) but on the outgoing call
leg the bearer capability G.7xx 384k video get lost and therefore the
call is dropped from the mobile

Can isdn data calls routed through 2 t100p's
I have a pri comming into a t100p in my asterisk box. I have a second t100p configured as pri_net connected to a nas server. I can route modem calls to the NAS with no problem, but I am concerned about isdn data connections.
Will asterisk route 64k isdn calls between 2 t100p's? Also, should I expect worse modem connections than normal?

ISDN in Japan?
Hi all,
general query here --- I'm about to set up an asterisk box for use in Japan
but can't figureout if it's all ISDN there or what?
I have gathered so far that the two major providers, NTT and KVH both offer
ISDN lines with .......INS1500 and maybe INS64 protocols?
Not sure...
But I'm seeing stuff about J1 vs. T1/E1 ....
so does that mean I can't use a Digium card it

ISDN phone Hold-Problem connected to QuadBRI/Zap
Folks,
(sorry for overlong lines)
I have recently configured one port on my QuadBRI card
to work in NT mode with NET signalling configured so that
I can use an ISDN telephone on it. I have set up a separate
group in zapata.conf and can call the phone and place calls
from it like a charm. No problems at all.
Problems came up when trying to hold a call and get it back.
I turned on "pri debug

[PATCH node] Fixes when more than one UDI is returned while getting a drive's size.
If more than one UDI is returned, they are delimited by a carriage
return. That is changed to a space, then the lot is iterated over. Each
UDI is tested to see if it has the property "block.is_volume=false". If
so then that UDI is for the underlying block device and not a logical
volume on the device.

[PATCH] Replace the HAL calls with udev/systool calls.
HAL has been deprecated, and this patch removes all HAL specific calls
from the configuration scripts.
HAL is still present in the Python scripts, but will be removed in a
different patch.

Hi,
I'm in big trouble I've got two serwers with Asterisk 1.03 both serwer with 2

I can make connection with other phone (I've got standard ISDN PBX).
But echos are horrible.
My configuration:
Athlon 2.0
256 RAM
2 HFC cards
i4linux.
mandrake 10.1 kernel 2.8.1
and second server
Celeron 2.6

Cisco, Sip, Linux, ISDN
I am one of the few people left in the US with a ISDN connection to the
internet. (Internet cable has been promised "Real Soon Now" for a couple
years). Worse, my home network runs on a decrepit Cisco 2500 series
router, and is double-natted via a firewall, which is why I currently
use iax to call anywhere.
I have been making ever-increasing use of my asterisk PBX, and I'm ready

RCAPI ISDN Support
Hello.
It seems very very strange to me that nobody talks about connecting ISDN
lines to asterisk using a device with RCAPI Support.
There are some devices (most of them isdn routers, like the famous Cisco 800
family) that support this protocol. It basically is an ISDN to IP gateway.
There used to be software that used this technology to send and receive
faxes, act as voicemail and even ISDN

Eicon DIVA PCI ISDN cards (not server) work with asterisk!
I just wanted to let you know that it's possible to use Eicon DIVA PCI
2.01 ISDN cards (not "server" divas) with asterisk.
First thing to do is to load the module. If you have two of these cards,
you should do it like that:
modprobe -v hisax protocol=2,2 type=11,11
And now you can have up to 4 incoming calls with two cards (try calling
yourself and see if anything gets into

AVM C4 with Asterisk in front of an ISDN PBX
Good day,
anyone out there running an ISDN pbx behind an Asterisk server with an
AVM active card? At this moment Asterisk is connected to the internal
ISDN bus of the PBX, but I want to control the calls coming in from the
outside, before sending them of to the PBX.
Any BTDT is greatly appreciated.

ISDN phones & Asterisk, ASDI and then some
Hello all,
New to the list, Asterisk and this wonderful world of convergence. From
reading the docs, list and websites I hopefully correctly understand
that I can use a plain cheap isdn4linux supported ISDN (passive) TA to
hook up the PC to the ISDN line from the telco (FXO card?). Next in the
PC I also need a FXS card like a Digium TDM10B or PhoneJack so I can
hook up an analog phone to it.

hfc isdn cards & zaphfc in domU
Hello,
After searching the archives, I''ve found only two messages regarding
this case, but there were no solution.
I have a similar problem, so I try to ask here.
I have twi HFC chipset ISDN cards in my pc:
