FW: Adtran TA 616
Has anybody had any luck getting an Adtran Total Access 616 working via the
Ethernet port/MGCP to an * box? The voice lines don't seem to be coming up
and I wasn't sure if I had something missing.
Here's my mgcp.conf file:

bindaddr = 0.0.0.0

TDM400P and Adtran 616 problems
I have a TDM400P (configured with 4 FXO cards) in a box that was working fine
from POTS lines extracted from a Lightspan via DSC's channel bank, but when
I switched over to using an Adtran 616 (weird little box, takes an SHDSL
circuit in that splits out 16 analog lines via an amp connector) the card no
longer seems to be able to detect ringing. I've tried upping the rxgain with

FW: ADTRAN Virtual Classes: Ensuring QoS for VoIP & Total Access 900 Series
I thought this might interest a few asterisk users. I don't use them so
I have no idea about Adtran's but I know a heap of people on this list
swear by them.
Cheers,
Dean

Adtran TA750 Noise - Email found in subject
Rich,
Thanks a bunch, totally understand now and that actually makes total
sense. (no need for schematics). This also explains why I used an TA750
to go into a Nortel MICS system, using FXO and no buzz. Totally balanced
load from the analog ports on the Nortel across the 5 feet of CAT5 to
the FXO on the adtran.
Now I need to get rid of some Adtrans --- Anyone lookin to buy?
:) Thanks

I believe it is not fiber, but I am not sure. I am going to take one of
them home tonight and hook it to my POTS line there, which for sure is
not fiber.

Adtran supervision problems
I am sending a call down a E&M wink trunk to a adtran tsu600
channelbank. The extension is setup like so...
exten=>799179,1,Dial(zap/g2,20,D(9179))
exten=>799179,2,Hangup()
It should Dial the Adtran and send some DTMF signals to a telephone on
an fxs module in the Adtran.
Asterisk is seeing the call answered when the T-1 is picked up by the
Adtran not when the ringing phone is answered.

T100P + Adtran TSU600 + FXO and caller id problems
I have following setup
Asterisk - T100P -> Adtran TSU600 P + FXOcard -> PSTN line
When PSTN line is plugged directly in to analog X100P caller id is
received by Asterisk
but when I plug it into adtran I'm not getting caller id.
Any ideas what kind of setup Adtran TSU600 requires to pass caller id
to T100P ???

Adtran 850 questions
I just wanted to ask about using Adtran boxes to support analog lines
into an Asterisk box. Right now x101p's are just too sensitive to RF
noise inside the PC. Going with an external chassis looks like a good,
albeit expensive option. It looks like I can use the Digium T1 card
into an Adtran 850. The Adtran 850 would need FXO cards. It would also
need the echo cancellation module. Is

Adtran TA750 Noise
All,
I need help.
I have an (actually 2) Adtran TA750's with 8 FXO ports. I get a terrible
buzz on every FXO port. If I unplug the Adtran and put an analog phone
on each incoming line, I have no buzz.
I also have 2 Carrier Access Access Bank I's with 12 FXO ports. When I
plug the same analog lines into either one of those, no noise or buzz
whatsoever.
I went so far as to move the TA750

\ Adtran Channel Bank? - Email found in subject
Jay,
I have had a lot of trouble with the FXO ports on Adtran TA750. Unless
the incoming POTS lines have a balance impedance, they will buzz very
bad.

Problems dialing out with T100P and Adtran
I have a T100P card connected to an Adtran and then a T1.
I have added the following configurations to Asterisk...but, when I dial

silence and the *error* light on the Adtran blinks.

Adtran TA 750 FXO Groundstart Mode
I am having a problem using the Adtran 750 FXO quad card with a Groundstart
trunk line. I am able to receive calls on the trunk line, however dialing
out is not working. The Adtran does not seem to be doing the signaling. Has
anyone used the 750 FXO card in Groundstart mode? Any special configuration
issues that I should be aware of?

Mixed FXO and FXS on one Adtran, T1 card?
Can I configure an Adtran channel bank with a mixture
of FXS and FXO cards and have them come into a single
T100P T1 card? It seems like this would be a cheaper
solution than trying to load a bunch of PCI cards into
a PC.
Also, when shopping for an Adtran (on ebay) - what do I need
to watch out for as far as interfaces or
capabilities to make sure that it works with a
Digium card?

Will Adtran TSU 600 work with *?
People on the list tend to think you can't make many cards work on a
regular desktop.
If you're willing to wait a couple of week I might have an answer for
you.

Adtran 750
I have three quad FXS cards (in slots 1-3) and one quad FXO card in slot
4. I have a few telephone sets connected to the FXS cards, and * allows
calling from one phone to another and from phone to console, etc. Diax
also works.
I have a CO line connected to one circuit of the the FXO card. When I
dial from the console, the busy light on the FXO card comes on, but it

Sangoma A104d and Adtran 850 problems
I have a system that I am trying to get a port on a Sangoma A104d card
connected to an Adtran 850 with 5 FXS modules and 1 FXO module.
A problem I am having is figuring out what cable should be used from the
port on the Sangoma to the JP2 port on the Adtran. Tried was a cross-over T1
(1->4, 2->5, 4->1, 5->2) as well as a straight T1 (1->1, 2->2, 4->4, 5->5).
