Hi Guys, Running Asterisk v1.4.26 (Elastix flavour) and have Aastra 9480i, 6757i, and 6730i, but none of them indicate the voic-email. Where should I look for trouble to find the root issue for MWI? hi i've got an AAstra 9133i ip phone, when i've bought it, i've set it to use a SIP/400 account on my asterisk, then, i've changed settings and i've set set phone to use a SIP/500 account . now, when i connect the phone to tthe network, it register itself on asterisk with both accounts!!! -- Registered SIP '500' at 192.168.100.188 port 5060 expires 120 --

Hi, Using 1.4.26.1 & DAHDI 2.2.0.2, FSK VMWI devices off a TDM840 work fine. With 1.6.1.[45] & same DAHDI, instead of the FSK spill I get a line polarity reversal. Stutter dialtone is generated as expected. Has anyone else seen this? Is there anything special I need to do for 1.6.1 to make FSK MWI work? Thanks, --Barry

May be I have fiddled too much with my sipura settings but I can't get it to give the stutter tone when there is a new voice mail waiting on the asterisk box. I can either get a stutter tone all the time or not at all. Anyone got this working. Thanks Chris

Hi, We have a few Aastra 480ci phones and we've noticed that in order to get the phone to receive a call, qualify must be = no. Apparently the Aastras do not respond to the qualify message (or respond in a way Asterisk doesn't understand) and Asterisk thinks the phone is unreachable. However, this now prevents MWI from working properly on the phones. Does anyone know how to get MWI

After purchasing the Uniden TRU9480 and then the Panansonic 5672, both of which do not have "phone company" compatible FSK/stutter MWI, I finally got smart and found out just which Panasonic phones have this feature. Only the following 5.8G models in their current line have FXO compatible MWI. I purchased the 5771 unit and one remote. I have confimed it does in fact work with Asterisk

I recently set up Asterisk with an Adtran TA750. All is well except the phones do not show the MWI. I have configured zapata.conf properly, as all phones will receive a stutter dial tone if there is a message waiting in it's assigned mailbox. Does anybody know how I might fix this problem? I am still a little confused about how to activate MWI with PJSIP on Asterisk 13.9.1. I use realtime for configuration. So far I have tried setting both the mailboxes field on ps_endpoints and the mailboxes field in ps_aors but I cannot get the indicator lamp to blink on any of my phones (Digium, Aastra and Yealink). I have tried just the number of the mailbox and also adding the context.

Getting "no service" display on aastra 480i. Sip debug shows an "unathorized" blub when the aastra tries to register. Some reading indicates that 1.4 firmware wants aastra.cfg and mac.cfg in /tftpboot/. There are none. Anyone have basic config files? Or can point me to a good link? All links I have tried, that purport to have config files, are either dead or error out.

Hi all, Configuration: Analog phone connected to TDM400p. I'd like the phone to give a half-ring (chirp) periodically when there is a message waiting. Can this be done? How is it configured? By some means I get notified that an MWI light has to be changed. Via AMP: 1. Send an ORIGINATE command honking up an incoming port on the PBX via a TA804. a. Using a TE410P with Zhone 24FXS channel banks to power standard analog phones I can't seem to find out if it's possible to support FSK or voltage type message waiting lamps. I don't want to use stutter dial tone because of the dramatic difference in per phone cost. TIA

Anyone out there using AT-320 phones with IAX? Can you get MWI to work? I can only get it to work with SIP. Also, I note that (on the phone) dtmf has to be set to "sip info" or dtmf doesn't seem to work at all (when the phone's under SIP). Sounds like the IAX firmware isn't all that finished? Eric.

Can someone else confirm that your phone does not recieve MWIs when using SIP and RealTime? Is this a problem with SIP or with Voicemail? -Matthew

Hey all...I'm trying to find a phone that will support multiple MWI so that I can have a shared central phone with say 4 users who can see visually that hey have messages waiting. Is there any phone that will do this possibly by re-assigning a soft-button? Can the Polycoms do this since those seem to be the phone of choice these days? Thanks!
