I have stuck with an older version of wine because it ran everything wine-compatible that I needed and didn't give me any trouble, but the newest WOW update won't even let me into the log in screen and the only fix I have found and not tried is to switch to a newer wine version (although that seems to be crashing a lot for people, but that looks more like a WOW problem than a wine

Just a heads up. I recently built a new (XPSP2) image with the Kaspersky 6.0.3.837 on it. I had issues joining the domain with the AV running. Had to disable. (A domain controller for domain ABC could not be contacted.....) I didn't have AV on my previous image, so I don't know if version 5 did the same. We've got a Windows 2003 server which won't join our Samba domain, it just sits their forever after I give the root password to join. It doesn't give an \ error message or "Welcome to domainxyz" message. It also won't join a workgroup, which is strange. Has anyone else seen this problem? No problems with XPSP2 clients. Not got 2003 SP1 on yet, might try that next.
