Headsets for Cisco 7940/7960
What headsets have people found work well with the Cisco 7940 and 7960
phones? To date, I have tried a couple of the headsets within the
Plantronics H series (H41-N), and noticed that the volume of my speaking
is lower over the headset than on the regular handset. I am currently
looking for headsets that are known to work well. I do know that Cisco
lists the H-91 and H-101 as certified to

Are you looking for the pinout for a single plug 2.5mm (cellphone)
headset or a dual plug 3.5mm (computer) headset?

Voice Modem + Soundcard Driver
The problem with using Voice Modems is that they fall into two categories:
1) Hardware Modems which only have half-duplex transmission of voice
2) Soft/Win/Lin modems which are proprietry and don't have asterisk drivers
Please shoot down this recipe before I waste any time trying to acheive it:

Looking for a patch cable for my SPA941 Phones
Hi all,
i know this question is not directly asterisk related - but i have no
idea where else to ask.
We do have around 50 pieces of LinkSys SPA941 - these phones do have a
2.5mm plug connection - and we do have many many headsets we used with
normal PC's before (so 2x3.5mm plug connection).
Does anyone here know where i can get an adapter 1x2.5mm -> 2x3.5mm ?
Or can anyone here tell me

SV: USB headsets?
I don't quite follow you? There are USB headsets that don't require a soundcard at all. They have a built in soundcard which (I suppose) could be better than the crap they build into most laptops.

Jan

Vocera Communication Badge
Hi there,
yesterday I came across the "Vocera Communication Badge" and now I'd like
to know if anyone here has played with that thing (or even just seen it
in real life), and if a price tag can be found for this device?
Too bad they don't use SIP... ;-(

Sipura 841 and headset
Hi folks !
I bought two sipura 841 phones. I used to have GN Netcom headset which
I connect instead of the handset. The problem is that I don't have any
sound coming out the headset and I can't speak neither !
I'am located in France and I was wondering if the cabling in the sipura
and in the headset is the same (I mean the order of the cables) or maybe
is there something else to

SPA942 quality for a Bank
Before committing to about 50 of the spa942's, I like to take a last
poll from those on the list to identify any negative issues that might
be associated with the audio, functionality, early failures, etc, on the
spa942.
Expecting to deploy these using existing cat5 cabling and both rj45
jacks. Been using three of theme in a short term demo with the customer,
but the demo systems has

In search of Headset Compatible Analog Phone
I have been looking for analog phones for my * system that work with our plantronic amplifiers and headsets. The problem I am having with the Aastra phones that I have purchased (PT-390, 9116, 9120, 8009 ), is that they don't seem to stay hung up unless you physically hang up the handset everytime you finish a call. I have even purchased the Aastra 9120 which sais it has on-hook

Anyone use the Linksys phones?
Is anyone out there using any of the newer linksys phones since Cisco
took over? I am more specifically looking at the spa-941 & 942's. Just
curious about call quality, programability, and functionality with asterisk.
I have read through the literature, but would like some real world feedback.
Thanks

Headsets
Hey Everyone,
We are in the process of reviewing headsets for use with our GXP-2000s.
I'm looking for some feedback as to which headsets people are using, the
pros and cons of those headsets, and if they would recommend them to
someone else.
Any help would be appreciated...

Recommended USB Headsets ?
Hi, we are looking to roll out PBX IN A Flash at our office.
The first group will be using Soft Phones (X-Lite appears to be the best
and works in Windows, Apple & Linux).
There are many types of USB Headsets to choose from and a fairly broad
price range. Is there any USB headsets people would recommend?
I'm specifically interested in acceptable audio (speaker and microphone)

Best Headsets for a Call Center Environment
I'm looking for suggestions as to the best multimedia headsets for a
call center environment.
A few considerations:
1) USB headsets are preferable, because they don't require a soundcard.
2) Omnidirectional microphones are problematic, because they pick up too
much background noise.
Thanks,
Matthew Roth

softphone headsets
Anybody have a suggestion for a nice inexpensive headset for mobile
users on a laptop with a softphone?
What are people using for softphones on M$ platforms? I have been using
the x-lite client. Is there something better out there?

USB headsets?
Hi,
What USB headset would you recomend?
We have some laptop soundcards that are really bad and I would be glad
if you could share your experiences when changing to a USB headset
instead of using the built in soundcard in your computer.
Thanks!

Jan
