Multiple E1 configuration question
Hi all- This question is for those familiar with EuroISDN setup. I have a customer in Europe where I'm going to install an asterisk based system with 4 E1's. The customer will configure them all in one large hunt group. My question is about the E1 channel configuration. I know that usually single E1 spans are set up with 30 channels (1-15 and 17-31) as the voice (bearer) channels and

If someone would like to help me out, maybe even explain one on one? Thanks a lot

Help -normal distribution
Hi , can any one help in this problem According to some study, the height for Northern European adult males is normally distributed with an average of 181 centimeter and a standard deviation of 7.3 centimeter. Suppose such an adult male is randomly chosen. Let X be height of that person. The next 3 questions correspond to this information. The answer may be rounded up to 3 decimal places of the

plot scale
Hi, Is there a way to set the scale of a plot (i.e. number of axis units per centimeter) when you output it to postscript? If not, how am I supposed to plot graphs with different axis limits to the same scale? They just get resized to fit the paper so that graphs which show a smaller number of axis units end up with a larger scale. Cheers, Ben -- Dr. Ben Kenward Department of Psychology,

Asterisk + Orion E1 GSM Gateway
Hi, I just got hold on an Orion E1 30 port GSM Gateway, and I am having problems trying to get the E1 link to come up. I am using Asteisk 1.2.12 with a Sangoma A101 card. I am quite familiar with E1's, both the Digium and Samgoma types, as I have successfully hooked up to many PBX's and such, but I just cant seem to get this one to work. None of the 30 channels 'come up'.

Learn some terminalogy before mounting this task.
All, I have done research on VoIP for some time now. I'm a Cisco certified Network Engineer however Telecom is not my strongest suit. I've been a part of this mailing list for sometime but my delusions of grandeur in migrating our 25 year old phone system to a new platform have been on the back burner, until now. I have found my company is moving to a new location(building) and this

How does Asterisk scale to 500-1000 phones?
Anyone have opinions on how well Asterisk scales to 500-1000 stations, in regards to reliability, system performance, as well as ease of management? Assume relatively low call volume; let's say two public network PRIs (47 DS0s). -- # Jesse Molina # The Translational Genomics Research Institute # http://www.tgen.org # Mail = jmolina at tgen.org # Desk = 1.602.343.8459 # Cell =

cph/nomogram Design/RMS package hazard ratio: interquartile vs per unit
Hello, I am constructing a nomogram using cph and nomogram commands in Dr. Harrell's Design/RMS package. The HR that I obtain for dichotomous and categorical variables are identical to those that I obtain using STATA stcox. However, the inter-quartile HR I obtain for continuous variables is obviously different, since STATA gives me HR for each unit (year, centimeter, etc) like coxph would

E1 R2 on Asterisk
Dear fellows, I need to use Asterisk with an E1 card with CAS R2 signalling for Argentina. I know that the E100P don't support it right now. Does anybody developing R2 drivers? Any other alternatives/prices to handle an E1 R2 on Asterisk? Thanks in advance!. Best regards, Pablo.

Bootstrap 95% confidence intervals for splines
There appear to be reports in the literature that transform continuous independent variablea by the use of splines, e.g., assume the dependent variable is hot dogs eaten per week (HD) and the independent variable is waistline (WL), a normal linear regression model would be: nonconfusing_regression <- lm(HD ~ WL) One might use a spline, confusion_inducing_regression_with_spline <- lm(HD

Self-testing E1 cards?
Hi- I've been considering writing some self-test software for several quad-E1 cards that I've just received from Digium. I don't have an E-1 channel bank, so this would be my way of checking that everything hardware-wise is working fine before I head out to the dark and cold confines of my customer's equipment room - to make everything work with their E1's. I was thinking of
