Can dial long distance but not local?
AsteriskNOW 1.4.26.2 with a Digium TE205P connected to an ISDN PRI (single span). I'm sure I just have something goofed up in the dialplans? I have a bunch of Polycom 331 IP phones connecting to the server. I can dial the other extensions in the system fine and I can dial long distance outgoing but cannot seem to get it to dial local (7 digit) calls. I see this in the CLI: --

Today's problem: Inbound call routing
O.K., so AsteriskNow 1.4.26.2, FreePBX 2.6.0RC2.1 We have a Digium TE205P connected to a single span if ISDN PRI. The Telco has assigned us two local numbers to test incoming calls. I created an inbound route for one of those DID's and assigned it to one of our extensions. Sounds simple enough. Too simple, apparently, when I dial the number the caller gets a recording that it's a

Is AsteriskNow 2 solid?
Hi, I currently have some systems on AsteriskNOW 1.7 & have been happy with its clean simplicity & reliability. Are many people here using AsteriskNOW 2.0.x? How do you feel about it? Did Digium stick with their previous philosophy of keeping everything very vanilla & making it clean & simple for someone who understands how to manage CentOS, FreePBX, tftp, ntpd, etc. but

Australian Options
I would just like to get a refresh of the situation for Australian users. It would seem that the TE400P is currently available and is likely to acheive approval for use in Australia within the next 2 months ? (when is the end of summer?). Once this is done, it will certainly suit larger installations, but it still leaves a number of 'gaps'. Anyone with analog phone lines will need

AsteriskNOW and config files
Hello, Is it possible to set things such as parts of config files are edited though AsteriskNOW GUI while other parts remain "hand editable" ? AsteriskNOW website include screenshots but not much information (such as user manual) beside that. This thing was the one that kept us from using freepbx (let me say I don't mean it's not possible with freepbx : I mean we couldn't

AsteriskNOW Migration
I currently have a customer that a previous employee setup with Gentoo\Asterisk. I'm looking to migrate to AsteriskNOW. They have a custom menu, which I would assume is easily replicable in AsteriskNOW. The only other thing I can think of is the sound bites for the menus. Does anyone have any advise or migration recommendations for this move? -------------- next part

Upgrade from 1.0.x to AsteriskNOW 3.0
Hello all. I was hoping someone out there might have some advice or suggestions regarding an upgrade from an archaic Asterisk version. I've been given the daunting task of upgrading a very old Asterisk-1.0.x install to a recent LTS version. I'll also need the install to have high-availability and failover support. From my research, it would appear that AsteriskNOW-3.0 might be my

Queuemetrics and Asterisknow
Can I use queuemetrics with asterisknow? I mean, if I modify the dialplan to use queuemetrics (I still don't know if it's possible), will I loose my changes when the time comes to do a conary update of the asterisknow package? thanks, -- ------------------------------------------------------------ Erick Perez ------------------------------------------------------------

AsteriskNOW 1.5 upgrade from 1.4 to 1.6
This link (http://blogs.digium.com/2008/10/13/asterisknow-15-beta-available-more-coming-soon/ ) seems to indicate that in order to upgrade AsteriskNOW v1.5 from Asterisk 1.4 to 1.6, it's as easy as installing an upgrade package. Does anyone know where to find that upgrade package? If it doesn't yet exist, what is the process for upgrading?

Asterisknow with video and X-Lite not quite working
Hello everyone, I have previously asked this question on the asterisk-video list, but I got directed here. I have a setup consisting of asterisknow beta4 (not sure if that is crucial) and a few clients all running X-Lite 3.0 (not eyebeam) on the local network. My computer has a USB-Camera installed, and now I would like to do some video calling with it, at least, so that the other user can

AsteriskNOW and IE
When I bring up the Asterisk GUI in AsteriskNOW, using IE7, it displays a message at the top "Your browser is not supported by this version of GUI!", and "We recommend using Firefox". Does this mean that it is known NOT to work under IE7, or just that it is insufficiently tested to be guaranteed? It's easy to ask techies to use Firefox, but if we are trying to sell a
