I checked the list of what not to use, but am still having no fun trying to find a working box. Can someone suggest a Compaq or Dell or MPC or . any other brand and model that is known to work well with the TE411P ? Will an old Proliant do? -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... URL:

TE410P upgrade to TE411P => (solution to) no more fax carrier detection !
I changed from a TE410P to a TE411P and fax carriers weren't detected anymore ! I have tried everything (recompile zaptel+asterisk+spandsp ; echocancel=yes/no ; rxgain=0/txgain=0 ; increase Wait() ; ...), nothing worked. The only solution that worked for me was to install and use NVFaxDetect. HTH.

Official TE411P echo settings??
I have seen conflicting references in regards to the Digium Wildcard TE411P echo settings in zapata.conf. Does anyone have the official word on this? Should echo cancel be enabled in zapata.conf if the card has built in EC? If so, should a particular EC method be compiled into the zaptel build? My reference, which has echo: My zaptel is 1.2.5 context=from-pstn switchtype=national

E400P vs te410p vs te411p
Hi, I found E400P quad PRI card quite cheap (749USD): http://www.govarion.com/product_info.php?cPath=1&products_id=2&osCsid=68cdd6e3d08754 in comparison to te410p (approx 1500 USD ) http://www.digium.com/index.php?menu=product_detail&category=hardware&product=TE410P Now newer generation with HW echo canceling emerged (te411p). I'm not sure in what things those two cards

Asterisk 1.0.9: TE411P replacement for TE410P 1stgen causes crashes
Hi all, I replaced a TE410P Rev C 1st Generation Firmware with a TE411P without any cfg changes (zaptel/zapata). As a result Asterisk crashes on outbound from PRI4 going to PRI1 calls: Aug 23 18:22:00 WARNING[4693]: chan_zap.c:7545 zt_pri_error: PRI: !! TE411P Really Bad Echo ORION
The Orion echo canceller is just ok. The Tellabs units work just as well if you don't mind 10 mins of soldering. I have the orion running with an adit 600 and a TE110P. Echo cancel is fairly good, but I have loads of problems with DTMF digits. -Darren ________________________________ From: asterisk-users-bounces@lists.digium.com

TE411P zapata.conf, monitoring echo cancellation and echo tail size
Hi all, 1. Just bought a new TE411P and about to install it replacing the existing TE410P. I am assuming I need to set echocancel=no and echocancelwhenbridged=no now that it will be done in hardware, correct? 2. Is there any way to monitor hardware echo cancellation to ensure it is working (apart from being on a call)? 3. The Digium webite says "By supporting 16ms with 128 channels or

TE411P problem-- probably stupid.
Hi, Probably a stupid syntax problem.. but can't seem to make these files work for more than the first T1 (ok, if I comment out the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th span). Can someone proofread this for me? Thanks! ====================== zaptel.conf span=1,0,0,esf,b8zs bchan=1-23 dchan=24 span=2,0,0,esf,b8zs bchan=25-47 dchan=48 span=3,0,0,esf,b8zs bchan=49-71 dchan=72 span=4,0,0,esf,b8zs bchan=73-95

Does anyone know how to disable the VPM in software rather than removing the card altogether? The canceler isn't working as well as the software cancelers were. Aaron

TE411P or TE410P
I am looking at the two Digium cards mentioned and am not sure if the echo cancelation is a must. The sever is a 2.8Ghz P4 with 2 GB of ram, and is only for routing PSTN connections to another * server. I would like the advice of the list before making my final decision. -- Bruce Nortex Networks -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... URL:

TE411P problem
List, I just tried to swap out our 410 for a 411 and we started have problems with on of our T1's. Setup: Span 1 - Dedicated PRI for long distance. Span 2 - 12 channels fxs_gs outgoing local. 12 Channels em_w incoming DID's. I didn't have any problems with the PRI. The trouble was with the T1. We were unable to place any local calls, and all incoming DID's where garbled.

TE411P and TE406P stability
I am getting ready to purchase my first Digium card to start experimenting with Asterisk. Before I make my purchase, I wanted to make sure I'm not going to have issues with these cards (need to see what the specs are on my box, 5V or 3.3V PCI ). I will be using Asterisk @ Home, so will be Asterisk v1.0.9. I took a quick poke at the lists, and it appears several people have been having

TE411P Really Bad Echo
I just implemented a system using a TE411P hardware echo cancellation card. Per Digium, I setup zaptel.conf, and zapata.conf the same way as I always have. To my surprise calls out to the PSTN had a terrible echo. 1 - 2 second delay, and quite clear. The echo was so bad that I had to remove the hardware echo cancellation module from the card. We are only using the 1st span of this card right
