Asterisk as Voicemail Server for Option 61c?
Looks like we will be forced to make a move on our voicemail system as
Nortel has declared Meridian Mail an end of life product. Frustrating
thing is that it would seem their only reason for it is so they can
force our hand to move to Call Pilot.
Is there any documentation and feedback out there of how people have
used Asterisk as a voicemail system for a legacy PBX? We've got about

AOC-D or similar
hi all,
I'm trying to send text messages to Snom 300 to show the credit
remaining during the call...
Sending a MESSAGE directly to the phone via udp i'm able to update the
text on the display... but not during the conversation.
I read about AOC, but i can't find any documentation about Asterisk +
SIP + AOC
Have you any experience, docs or workaround to suggest?
Thx Ale

CDR changes in 1.4.3?
Hello all:
I upgraded to 1.4.3 last night and use MySQL for CDR.
I have noticed that 1.4.3 seems to log a lot of "crap" to CDR that
1.4.2 did not. I use a few macros in my dialplan to handle outgoing
calls (lcr type stuff) and in addition to the proper CDR for the call
itself I also have records to 's' in the same dest-context and entries
to 's' in the default context.

[Fwd: Re: Zaptel PCI IRQ problem]
Hi,
Sorry to insist, but I would really like to be able to use Xen and my
zaptel hardware all together in Dom0. I was just wondering if the 3.1
release could contain some changes compared to 3.0.4 related to IRQ
handling or scheduling that could workout my problem.
Thanks,
François.

Problems with PXELINUX falling through to localboot on a HP Proliant DL385
I'm having problems with PXELINUX passing through to a "localboot" on a
HP Proliant DL385. I'm working with 3.73.
If I configure PXELINUX to directly "localboot", everything works. If
I configure PXELINUX to use menu.c32 or anything like that, a subsequent
localboot fails. I see the expected "PXE ROM exiting" message but the
next device doesn't

Connecting a Rolm CBX to Asterisk via T1?
Hi all,
So I'm trying to work on this complex fax server setup, and part of it involves connecting my asterisk server to my Rolm CBX switch, via a T1 line. I plan on using Asterisk simply as a T1-PRI Bridge to IAXmodem (which in turn, activates HylaFax+ to handle the faxing). So far, though, I don't think I'm getting 100% of the way there. When dialing the fax extension from my

BUG: soft lockup detected on CPU#?
Hello All.
I've just started looking into Xen and have a test environment in place. I'm seeing an
annoying problem that I thought worthy of a post.
Config:
I have 2 x HP DL585 servers each with 4 Dual core Opterons (non-vmx) and 16GB RAM
configured as Xen servers. These run CentOS 5.1 with the latest updates applied. These
system both attach to an iSCSI target which is an HP DL385

CRAN mirror for R in India: new one at WBUT, how do we get listed in the CRAN website?

Folks at the West Bengal University of Technology has set up a mirror to
distribute R and associated packages. Here is the URL:

This will be helpful for R users in South Asia and the adjoining countries.
I have yet to see the site featured in the CRAN list of mirrors. What needs
to be done? For those of you who are impatient and would like to give it a

slow file creation
Hi all,
I'm troubleshooting an ocfs2 performance problem where creating files in
a directory containing ~180k files is taking significant time to
complete. Sometimes creating an empty file will take >100 seconds to
complete. This is a three node cluster. I'm currently running OCFS2
1.2.3-1. Are there any changes in a recent version that may address
this issue? What should I look

I am attempting to run Xen 3.1.1 on a HP DL385 G2 box (opteron based system),
using Gentoo. The machine will boot, and I can login and edit files etc, but
as soon as I do anything more intensive such as copying files off a cdrom
(making me think it is a cciss driver problem) or running make, I get the

Asterisk to Asterisk SIP Trunk and CallerID

from one box to another but the phone registered to the receiving server
only properly shows the caller name, not the number. The number on the
phone always shows as the name of the sip registration of the "calling"
server.

(XEN) Platform timer appears to have unexpectedly wrapped 10 or more times.
Hi,
Sometimes, seemingly randomly, long-running Xen domains, using clocksource
xen, have their clock shift by ~3000 or ~36000 seconds, often with the dom0
complaining about clocksource tsc. The number changes if the hypervisor is
explicitly told to use clocksource=pit, but it still happens. It doesn''t
seem to be particularly hardware-specific.

Network cards not recognised
Hi,
We have a HP DL385 G6 server that is having an issue. Two of the 4
network cards are not being recognised by Linux.
We have quite a few other servers with the same hardware and no issues
but, before I call HP, I would like to make sure that I am not doing
anything wrong :)
I have tried with the kernel that came with CentOS 5.5 and the updated
one kernel-2.6.18-194.11.3.
