DNAT IP-Adding
Hello List. I''m new here, and am staring off with a pretty common question, i think. I want to have my router DNAT incomeing connections for other IP''s than it''s WAN IP. In my other setup, just adding that IP as Destination Address was enough. But that was a bit older Version of Shorwall. In my new Setup, Shorewall 2.0.7 Debian Sarge, i have this line: DNAT

Analog modems behind an Asterisk server?
Hello, we would like to hook up analog modems behind an Asterisk server, and we're very interested in the experiences that others have made when attempting that. We assume that there are no inherent problems with modems in respect to the Asterisk software, but it appears that the FXO/FXS hardware restricts this kind of a setup to lower data transmission rates, is this correct? Currently,

USB modem on centos
I am playing with a USR (us robotics) USB modem model 5637. in the past I used internal modems and had no issues. One this unit I plugged it in, dmesg says its recogized. I did "ln -s /dev/ttyACM0 /dev/ttyS4" this works. I then did "cu -l /dev/ttyS4" type "AT" and I get OK... looking good. When I "ATDT my number" I get a connection at 1200 baud (which I

Adding an MT9234ZBA-USB modem to CentOS6.3
How, exactly, does CentOS-6.3 with udev recognize an USB modem when it is plugged in. How is it indicated? What other configuration is required? I can find the modem in /sys/class/tty and I can get the attributes using udevadm but I do not see anything in ps that refers to the modem device. -- *** E-Mail is NOT a SECURE channel *** James B. modem to modem calls through asterisk
Modem connect speeds on calls through * seem to be lower than calls made through the telephone company lines or our old Rolm PBX. All data calls have 2 wire analog modems on both ends. For my set up I have channels of a Zhone channel bank tied to 2 modems. The Zhone channel bank interfaces my * server with a T400P card. modem --- Zhone Channel bank - * via T400P card - Zhone channel bank -

Using an analog modem through asterisk (zap channels)
I've tried this before, with no luck. I've got to try again this evening, and I'm looking for some help. Here's my configuration -- pretty simple, really. Asterisk box -> T100P -> TA750(20FXS/4FXO) -> phones and outgoing lines I have an analog modem (Ok, it's a TIVO) that I need to be able to dial out. Right now, I have the modem connected directly to an outgoing
