Problem with accented characters in portuguese
Dear all, I've recently encountered a strange behaviour when using R with portuguese accented characters. The most curious aspect is that using the same code with ESS under XEmacs the behaviour is different. My system is: > R.version _ platform i386-pc-mingw32 arch i386 os mingw32 system i386, mingw32 status major

CIC Code
Has anyone ever setup Asterisk to pass Feature Group D access while using a CIC code for outbound calls? If so can you please email the configuration you have done? I have tried to get this up and running but with no luck. I have also contacted support and I cant seem to get this going. Thanks in Advance, Jason Miller

Asterisk featdmf signalling.
I've recently started PIC'ing some calls into a asterisk box across a feature group D trunk from Verizon. Everything seems to work ok, except for some reason Asterisk doesn't grab the full caller ID from Verizon. I can see that they do send it, but Asterisk drops the first 2 numbers. Looking at the debug log I see. I see that Verizon is sending the digits and the asterisk debug seems

CAS voice signalling?
According to CarrierAccess, the Adit 600 uses CAS for voice signalling. What is this? This should not be a problem for Asterisk? Does the Asterisk server need to reencode CAS into aLaw when going to Euro ISDN? BR Daniel Nystr?m

Asterisk + Zap + CAS Signalling
Hi folks, I had a survey online but there i couldnt find a clean sample of CAS signalling on E1 interfaces. I defined a span with CAS framing and HDB3 line coding but dont know which signalling to use for channels. I'd use 3 bit CAS signalling and 20 incoming channels and 10 outgoing ones. Anyone could help me define the signalling for these channels. PS. Im using Sangoma cards. Any

CAS signalling and FAX solution
I am trying to solve the fax problem by installing an E1 channelbank (Megaplex MP-104) It's a box that has 8 x FXS ports and a single E1 port. The plan was to use one of my 4 E1 ports to connect to the Telstra onramp and one to the MP104. I have since discovered however that the MP104 only supports CAS signalling and I am having trouble getting asterisk to work in this mode. Currently we

Hi Carlos/All, Thanks for your reply. I can remove dchan=16 from zaptel.conf But according to the documentation of Digium and sangoma they mentioning to use dchan=16. Are there any specific reason you have experiance regarding this and I am confusing that what this is included to the documentations. Regards, Vidura. CAS E1 signalling
Hi, I try to find some information about CAS E1 signalling and how it's handled by Asterisk. My customer wants to connect to a BT ITS Netrix by CAS E1 E&M. The system is intended to take the channels and mix them (meetme / confbridge) and send the audio back mixed to each. The layout: BT ITS Netrix: CAS E1 E&M <-> MUX - WAN - MUX <-> Digium TE220, Asterisk I've

Asterisk analog DID with Adit 600
Hello All, I'm trying to connect Asterisk to an Executone phone system with an analog DID card and I'm hoping someone can help me figure out what I'm doing wrong. The Executone DID card provides battery to the telco, when the telco wishes to dial a DID it goes off-hook, waits for a wink from the Executone and then dials the last three digits on the number with pulse (as opposed

CAS signalling conflicts with Clear channel
Hi, My asterisk server was working with a 4-FXO analog card (TDM400P). I recently added two digital cards: a TE120P (1 PRI) and a B410P (4 BRI). The B410P is still unconfigured but inserted in a PCI slot. The TE120P's jumper is set to E1 as it will connect to a commercial PBX's PRI card also configured as E1. My analog channels used to be 1-4 but since I added the new cards I changed

arima on defined lags
Dear all, The standard call to ARIMA in the base package such as arima(y,c(5,0,0),include.mean=FALSE) gives a full 5th order lag polynomial model with for example coeffs Coefficients: ar1 ar2 ar3 ar4 ar5 0.4715 0.067 -0.1772 0.0256 -0.2550 s.e. 0.1421 0.158 0.1569 0.1602 0.1469 Is it possible (I doubt it but am

generalization of tabulate()
Hi I want a generalization of tabulate() which works on rows of a matrix. Suppose I have an integer matrix 'observation': > observation y1 y2 y3 1 4 0 1 4 0 2 0 3 4 1 0 0 5 0 0 1 4 2 0 3 Each row corresponds to a (multivariate) observation. Note that the first two rows are identical: this means that data "c(1,4,0)" was observed twice. Now suppose I can list the sample

Fw: Digium FXO Interfaces don't support groundstart???
A thought occurred to me to on how to further quantify the impact of "glare" on a properly dimensioned trunk group and debunk the ground start glare concern. A cursory traffic analysis clarifies: 1. Assume you have a two-way trunk group, dimensioned for average busy hour, average busy season for P01 grade of service, Erlang B or Poison distribution. 2. Further assume that the

BRI and E1 in same system
Hi- Anyone using the Junghann's quad BRI card and the Digium E100P in the same system? I'm having a configuration problem where I can configure the cards one at a time (with the appropriate drivers loaded) in a system, but when I try them both together, neither will work. They both work fine one at a time. Probably has something to do with the channel numbering. I've tried

ZFS block squashing (CAS)
So, I am starting to code this CAS block squashing test and I am wondering if this is something that would more likely extend open Solaris (it does require additional info in zfs metadata that is currently reserved space for future, ie zfs revision++) or if I should code against the FUSE tree where it would could be imported. What type of contribution style is open Solaris? Is zfs
