Reverse group in zapata.conf
Hey all, I have a situation where I have 8 lines from the phone company in a hunt group coming in to my asterisk box. These are the same lines I'm using for outgoing calls ( named g0 ). The problem arises when someone dials our number at the same time asterisk tries to put a call out on one of the zap channels in the g0 group. This has happened twice that I know of so far, once to

Adtran TA750 Noise
All, I need help. I have an (actually 2) Adtran TA750's with 8 FXO ports. I get a terrible buzz on every FXO port. If I unplug the Adtran and put an analog phone on each incoming line, I have no buzz. I also have 2 Carrier Access Access Bank I's with 12 FXO ports. When I plug the same analog lines into either one of those, no noise or buzz whatsoever. I went so far as to move the TA750

snom reporting busy when it shouldn't - Email found in subject
Check the Redirection on the web interface of your Snom 200. If it says "When Busy" that's your problem. It should say "Never". Also make sure on Sip->Lines your line appearance says "All" or else you will have the same problem. Hope this helps :) Greg Gregory P. Jay, I have had a lot of trouble with the FXO ports on Adtran TA750. Unless the incoming POTS lines have a balance impedance, they will buzz very bad. Gregory P. Re-parking (or transfer) a parked call
How do you transfer or re-park a call that's been picked up from a parking lot? I don't see any options for specifying the transfer options on the parked call, so that you could transfer or repark it. -- Barry D. FXO Issues
All, Experiencing some issues on my FXO lines. If a call comes in on an FXO and then get transferred to another FXO (say to call someones cell phone), those two lines will stay tied together indefinitely. This happens to us when we transfer an incoming call to our on call guys after hours and on weekends. We have installed 3 other * boxes and they do the same thing. We use a Adit Channel bank

cannot play sound files
Greetings, I have a new * system installed and everything works as it should except for one annoying little problem: I can't play any sound files. What this means is that when an extension script gets to the point where it should play a sound file (voicemail greeting, auto-attendant, whatever), the caller hears a click and then silence. According to the * log, the sound file is being

Call parking causes Asterisk to crash
I have one system that is crashing everytime a call is parked and I have tried recompiling the asterisk, checking out the latest SVN of 1.2 and modifying the configuration. I have identified what I think is the error and have back traces but since this is occurring on only one system I want to know what might cause this. CLI: -- SIP/xlite_brr-098d1e98 is ringing -- SIP/xlite_brr-098d1e98

Cannot xfer parked callers
Here's how it's currently working: 1) Call comes in 2) Operator parks call (700) 3) Operator picks up call on another phone (701) 4) Operator tries to transfer to a different phone (we use #0) but the transfer doesn't work. We can transfer initial callers all we want and it works fine. Once a call is parked, however, we can no longer transfer the caller. Any ideas? Thanks, Jay

Weird problem with parked call expiration
Hi, I am having a very weird problem with call parking. I have defined call parking correctly, as it work well when parking calls and picking them up. The problem is what happens after the the 45 seconds have expired. The behavior wanted is that the person who put the call on "park" is called back after 45 seconds. What ACTUALLY happens is that the phone who got put on park

how can I catch the event generated when a parked call is hung up?
Hi all, how can I catch the event generated when a parked call is hung up? In my dialplan, when arrives a call to a specific number, Asterisk parks the call and announces the parking slot to a number. But if the user hangs up the parked call, I don't know how to catch the event, from dialplan, that removes the call from the parking slot. I want to know if there is a method for do this.

How obtain the slot position when a call is parked?
Hi, I want to ask you if asterisk, when I use the command park(), gives me for example a variable that contains the slot position where it parks the call or if it only tells me (audio) in the channel this position number? In other words, is there a way to obtain and use the value of the slot position when the call is parked? Thanks.

Parked Calls in 1.4.23.1
I know the call parking feature changed in 1.4.23.1 to fix some serious issues. I'm seeing a major change though which I find disturbing. A person parks a call by transferring it to the parking position (700). When the timeout value is reached, the call is NOT returned to that device, but rather the 's' extension of the phone's registered context (in this case [unrestricted]).
