E1 PRI to and from SIP screeching
Hi all,
We have just set up trixbox latest with a Rhino r1t1 card, hooked up to
a plain E1 PRI line. We call fine SIP to SIP, but as soon as we make a
call from SIP to PSTN all sounds become unintelligible screeching or
static kind of noise on both ends, when we call PSTN to SIP the PSTN
side seemingly OK at least we hear no screeching sound, but the SIP side
is a even worse screeching

Cannot build trunk
I apologize if this is a very dumb newbie issue, but I really want to
experiment with the new "Story Runner" functionality in rspec and I''m having
trouble using the trunk.
I''ve tried in both windows and linux environments and have different
problems on each.
On linux, I execute svn co svn://rubyforge.org/var/svn/rspec/trunk to check
out the trunk. This completes

PRI hangup certain outgoing calls
I have a problem calling a certain number from our PRI line. Calling the
number from a separate PSTN phone works fine.
The remote number seems to have some funny call redivert setup, when you
call it, it answers immediately, makes some kind of beep and then starts
to ring.
Our PRI is in the UK from Telewest/NTL/Virgin Media and most outgoing
calls work without a problem. The server is

adding DNIS digits
Situation:
8 POTS lines, 3 companies, 1 system. Channel banking the POTS lines
onto a T1 thru an ADIT 600.
The only way our carrier will provide DNIS is thru Analog DID #'s.
Anyone know of a piece of hardware that can add DNIS digits to a
particular line?

Deleting extension makes it usable?
I'm fairly new to FreePBX/Asterisk/Trixbox, but have Googled myself
into submission here, so any assistance is appreciated.
We had a user with a weak SIP secret recently that allowed it to be
used by an outside user. The extension was 3799. I could see the
intruder's calls (including the destination phone numbers) in the
trixbox call report log. Because the extension was no longer used, I

SNOM loses server registration
Hello to all
When my SNOM (300 or 320) loses Internet connectivity, it loses its
Asterisk registration (ok, thats normal).
But when the phone is back online, he doesn't try to register in
Asterisk. I believe this happens to avoid flooding the private LANs when
the Internet link is lost.... but the problem is that the phones don't
try to re-register in the future.... Sometimes it stays

E911 SIP or IAX providers?
Does anyone have any experience with any SIP or IAX providers that
support E911? I'd love to convert entirely to Asterisk at my house,
but the lack of emergency dialing has been a major hold-up for me.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

How do you like TrixBox?
So I'm sure many of you are using or have tried to use TrixBox. Thus far,
I'm in love with it. I haven't had a single snag. Then again, I don't need
to get into anything overly nitty gritty with my Asterisk box.
What are your views?

Hmm beginning of the end of free trixbox by the sounds of it.
It was good while it lasted but time to download the latest iso while
it's still available by the sounds of it.

Trixbox vs. Custom install
Hello,
I'm following the thread "Asterisk@Now vs Trixbox", and I have a
similar question: if someone is going to install Asterisk, FreePBX
and A2Billing, should you advice him/her to use Trixbox ... or a
custom "step by step" installation on a distribution of his/her choice?
Thanks

Building a System.
So, people have recommended building a system from scratch, start with a
CentOS base and installing asterisk and all of the other utilities.
I've only used Trixbox for my business system. I'm wondering what
surprises I'd run into. Right now, I know I'd need the OS, Asterisk,
something like FreePBX, I have a x100p card so I'd need Zaptel, does
that come with asterisk?

A@H / Trixbox Question
I thought I could try to post this question here since I have at times
found excellent support here on A@H issues as well as pure/straight
digium/asterisk issues. I am looking to finally build a permanent
asterisk server and would prefer, if at all possible, to stick with the
"new" A@H called trixbox. Does anyone know if the CentOS behind trixbox
is a relatively complete CentOS system? I

Teliax problems, they say use SIP, more mature & better working than IAX
We have a Teliax IAX trunk that we use as an overflow for our four
regular business lines into our local Asterisk PBX (Trixbox). We have
our Teliax account set up so that it goes to a Teliax voicemail box if
it cannot reach our Asterisk server, and we have the channel set up for
5 simultaneous connections. Occasionally, calls are sent to the Teliax
voicemail box for no apparent reason. In
