Aastra phones and park/pickup feature
We are installing Aastra phones (480's and 57i's) into a fairly simple
asterisk setup. Although call park & pickup work fine using xfer to 700 (to
park), dial 701 (to pickup), we are unable to make the park/pickup softkey
feature work on the aastra's.
Although we've programmed the softkeys per the manuals, they seem to have no
effect (just dead). For example, our 57i is

Polycom Park by EFK
Has anyone gotten one-touch call parking to work on Polycom phones via
the Enhanced Feature Keys feature working? I've looked at various
examples, they appear correct, but the phones (501, 3.1.x firmware)
show the Park button while in a call but this does not actually cause
the call to be parked. Doing a SIP debug, I don't see that anything is
transmitted as a result of pressing the call

Parked calls with Asterisk 1.4.0
Hi List.
We have a small issue with making parked calls work with the new
Asterisk 1.4. I have an impression that this used to work with 1.2, so
its either I'm doing something wrong, or a regression. I hope its not
the latter and you can tell me what I'm doing wrong.
The setup is an Asterisk with sip users in mysql realtime and dialplan
in mysql static (mostly - some stuff is built-in).

I've just installed asterisk on a Debian Linux (apt-get it)
And i have placed two sip phones in sip.conf and i'm testing parking

3. Phone2 dials #700 and parks the call (it is placed in 701)
4. Phone2 is hangup
5. Pickup

How to park and pickup a call
Hi All,
How to park and pickup a call? The scenario of park and pickup
described as below.
UserA made a call to UserB, and the call ware connected,
Then UserB parked (or hold) the call, and told UserC to pickup
the call on one line, and then, UserC pressed some keys to

the Asterisk. And how to set the sip.conf,

Park and PARKINGDYNAMIC
I have been trying to get the dynamic parking working.
For some reason when I park a call using this method the console says it is
using the default parking context not the one I am trying to specidfy. It
also is playing the parked extension to the caller. I am transfering the
call to an extension that is doing a goto to the context below. Any ideas
or examples on how to make this work.

Call parking issue with Cisco SPA phone
I'm trying to implement call parking with asterisk and Cisco SPA504G phones:
features.conf
parkext => 700
parkpos => 701-702
context => parkedcalls
I defined one of the unused keys to park the calls:
Key2:
fnc=sd;ext=700 at 10.0.1.103;vid=1;nme=Park
I also defined two other keys to pickup/unpark the calls:
Key3:
fnc=blf+sd+cp;sub=701 at 10.0.1.103
Key4:

Park/retrieval of calls
Hi!
I'd like to be able to park/pickup a call with h323.
Parking the call is easy, using ParkAndAnnounce.
But ParkAndAnnounce does not return the parkinglot in a variable.
So, I can't retrieve the call later.
To keep it simple, here is a simple scenario of what I want:
The call is established from phone 307. I enter DTMF code "#1" on phone
307. The call is then parked. I

Problem with parking
Hi,
I'm having problem with call parking.
When I park call, either via transfer to xten or park digit sequence from
features.conf, I hear the parking lot number read to me and the user gets
transferred.
However, MOH stops for the caller the moment user is transferred.
The user can be retrieved by dialing the parked extension and voice resumes.
If the parked user hangs up, the channel state

Still can't pickup parked call
I'm still struggling to pickup calls. I now have a single context
(entryocginternal) where I have "include => parkedcalls".
The log below shows me calling from one internal extension to another, then
picking up, then parking the call.

Multiple parking lots use default park positions
Hello, all. I'm having a deeply frustrating time getting multiple
parking lots to work and am wondering what I am doing wrong. I am using
Asterisk 1.6.1.1. I defined two separate parking lots in features.conf
as follows:
[parkinglot_a100] ; SSI
context => a100-parking
parkpos => 900-920
findslot => next
[parkinglot_a10] ; EBC
context => a10-parking
parkpos => 800-820

res parking patch
Ok, a little patch that adds a little functionality to call parking.
With that, you can pickup the older parked call, if many are in the
parking lot. The default exten to do that is 750, but can be changed
by setting "parkpick => exten" on parking.conf , like
[general]
parkext => 800 ; What ext. to dial to park
parkpos => 801-820 ; What extensions to

Flexible Call Parking Solution
These all work with sip native transfers and sip attended transfers in the
example of "query" option. I tested this on my 7960 and it works great.
Please others test it.

Powering SNOM 200 phones?
Ok, not exactly an Asterisk problem, but...
I picked up some SNOM 200 phones because SNOM's have been recommended for use
with Asterisk and they have line buttons that can subscribe to presence.
However, they don't appear to power up when connected to my Negear FS108P,
which is an 802.3af Power-over-ethernet capable hub. I am pretty sure
these are the SNOM 200b, in that the ethernet

Sticky Park
My company for various reasons has asked that I come up with a way to
have previously parked calls be re-parked in the same parking slot. I
have looked at setting up asterisk so that the receptionist chooses
which slot to place a call, but I think there is an easier way. That is
when I came up with the idea of "Sticky Park". Here is how it would
work. A call would come in and

Parked calls and the # key
I am perplexed by this so I how someone can help me out.
On one of my servers the users began complaining that if they picked up a
parked call they could not use the # key to transfer the call. This is a
particualarly annoying issue since everyone has been taught to use #700 to
park calls. At first I thought it was a DTMF issue with the polycom phones,
since rebooting seemed to fix the problem.

SIP - Call Park/Pickup and Canreinvite=yes at the same time??
Hi all,
I am trying to use canreinvite in sip.conf and park/pick up calls at the
same time.
Problem:
When I have it set up so RTP goes through asterisk (sip.conf:
canreinvite=yes), # to xfer works fine. But, when I set it up so the RTP
goes direct between endpoints (sip.conf: canreinvite=no), the # to xfer
doesn't work. I believe this is because asterisk isn't in the RTP path and
