wav to flac corruption
I have exactly the same problem. I encoded a BWF file to flac and then then decoded back to wav, using --keep-foreign-metadata, and I ended up with a bit-perfect copy of the original BWF. So I was fairly confident that the flac encoding is working correctly, the problem definitely appears to be with the flac players. Unfortunately it seems that the majority of flac players cannot play 24bit

[Flac-users] Winamp 2/Winamp 3 and FLAC plug-ins
I know that Winamp has its loyal following. I've never used it much. Also, I'm a novice at computer music. I've always just bought CD's and never used computer music. So perhaps I'm an idiot or just not very music-software literate, but I so far haven't been impressed with Winamp, or the FLAC plug-in. Just for one example, I've got a dual-Althlon MP 2000 system

Wine lags A LOT when programs are started—and getting worse
Hi, I'm a pretty new Linux (Ubuntu) user, only a few weeks, and I few days ago I started having troubles with Wine. I posted this over at the Ubuntu Forums but haven't gotten a reply yet, so I thought I'd try here as well. I'll just quote my posts. Software running, but no audio
Thomas, Do you by chance know which players are ignoring the content-type headers? I have done quite a bit of testing for that exact issue but haven't ran into any problems. Perhaps I am testing the wrong players. Thanks, Brad Isbell brad at musatcha.com http://www.musatcha.com On Fri, Nov 21, 2014 at 7:49 AM, "Thomas B. R?cker" <thomas at ruecker.fi> wrote: > On

Winamp plugin not recognized at all
I happily downloaded the official beta4 winamp plugin as well as Mattew's versions with VCE interated and with/without the dialog. When I installed it winamp (v2.72) didn't recognize it (no vorbis plugin listed in the config, doesn't play ogg files) - same for all of them. I recompiled it myself from Mattew's source with vce - same results. It does recognize the old plugin when

WinAMP plugin Source
Where can I get the source for the WinAMP plugin? I'm trying to compile a version on my Alpha CPU based machine and the one in the CVS Snapshot says that it is depreciated, but doesn't say where the current version is located at. Can anyone point me to the new one so I could compile it up? Laters, Mike --- >8 ---- List archives: http://www.xiph.org/archives/ Ogg project homepage:

kiax - iax2 softphone
Has anyone on here used kiax before? I am asking because I have it installed on several computers and have been able to get it to connect and register to my Asterisk box. I can even call between them and my SIP softphones. The problem I am having is this: when I use kiax to call someone else, they get some kind of background music playing while I am talking to them. I have called from kiax to

where did all the nonfree rpms go? Nvidia? xine-lib-mp3?
I installed Centos on some machines that need long term support. I'm running up against some simple user convenience issues. How to play MP3? I've been really puzzled today that the addon rpm sites like livna, rpmforge, rpmfusion, epel, don't seem to have something like amarok-mp3 or xine-lib-mp3. What am I missing? It can be done in Ubuntu, Debian, and Fedora Linux. In the

Variable names rule
If we're talking about member variables, just put an m in front of it, problem solved. You already have one for s_, and I didn't see you mention it but I assume you'd want g_ for globals, so m_ makes perfect sense for member variables and there's no question about UB at that point. Icecast2 / Ogg / oddcastDSP / Winamp2 Constant Prebuffering
Hrm, yes it does sound like a bug in WinAmp. Even if it does prebuffer, the length counter should be going beyond 0:01 since you've obviously been listening longer than that after the first second. =P (I don't think the counter resets after buffering, but I could be wrong.) Can you see if you can duplicate it by getting someone else to tune in to the 'cast with WinAmp?

Winamp v5.22 / oddcast / aac+
I believe that Oddsock is using a Content Type of aacp. Using a .aac extension with this Content Type may present a conflict. This might actually be by design. I will do some further testing with Winamp and report here tomorrow. I will also double-check with the developer of Winamp for complete clarification. FYI, Orban Opticodec-PC allows the use of either Content Type of aac or aacp. aac is

New WinAMP 3.0
Hi. Winamp version 3.0 has been announced. There will be no public beta and final version is expected for Christmas. Winamp 3.0 will be completely re-written version, but current plug-ins and skins (for winamp 2.x) will NOT be compatible with Winamp 3 (though this will be addressed in later winamp 3 versions). More info: http://www.winamp.com/nsdn/winamp3x/ Anyway, the reason I'm sending

Winamp v5.22 / oddcast / aac+
I'm not sure if this is an icecast issue or oddcast issue or both, but the latest Winamp (v5.22) is not now playing AAC+ streams encoded with Oddcast. Winamp v5.21 and earlier versions work fine. This may be some attempt by Winamp developers to force people to use Shoutcast, or to prevent oddcast from using their enc_aacplus.dll. Right, just took some time to set up the Shoutcast DSP to
