Docker swarm service misconfigured in FirewallD / CentOS 7
Hi,
I'm currently fiddling with Docker Swarm on three sandbox servers running
CentOS 7.
Unfortunately I couldn't get even the most basic configuration running. After
some experimenting and investigating, it turns out there's a problem with
FirewallD.
Here's what I did first on every single node.
# firewall-cmd --permanent --add-service=docker-swarm
# firewall-cmd --reload

[LLVMdev] LLVM under code swarm
Hello, Everyone.
For those, who saw crazy videos from code swarm
(http://vis.cs.ucdavis.edu/~ogawa/codeswarm/) and asked 'what's about
LLVM' I've created two videos:
1. clang: http://vimeo.com/1242653
2. LLVM itself: http://vimeo.com/1246374
Enjoy! If anybody wants 'sources' for recreation of these videos (e.g.
changing settings, etc) - just drop e-mail to me.

Difference Between WINE and an Emulator
I've got someone who doesn't understand that WINE Is Not an Emulator and
apparently doesn't get the FAQ on the site. I personally don't use WINE (still
being on Windows kinda avoids the need), so I don't really have the knowledge
to argue this much farther. Here's his latest point (formating in clasic
usenet style below), I need something simple that says,

GA/SWARM Hyperparameter (HP) Optimisation for Classification based Machine Learning
Hi,
I believe that Caret uses a ?grid-serach approach. I was wondering if:
1 There are more efficient implementations for HP tuning for classification algos?(eg XGboost, CatBoost, SVM, RF etc),?using say?GM/SWARM approaches, akin to Google's approach AutoML for Image related Net problems?
2 This one is most probably wishful thinking, but is anyone looking at GM/SWARM at HP tuning across models

Memory problems, HDF5 library and R-1.2.2 garbage collection
Hello:
I've recently started using R to process data in HDF5 format. My files
come in 1.5MB chunks, but they can be as big as 50MB.
The problem I am facing with R-1.2.2 is that when I try to load 50 of
the 1.5MB HDF5 files (using the hdf5 library) in a loop, my Linux box
gets close to its memory limit around the file #15 (256MB RAM and
256MB swap). This happens even if I load file ->

Initializing a large data structure to be accessed strictly within a shared C library
Dear R-devel members,
The question: Is it possible to initialize and later free a large data
structure strictly within a shared C library, to be used by a function in
the C library that I'll call from R--without ever having to pass data to
and from R? This is analogous to C++ object initialization/use/destruction,
but if possible I'd like to stay in C.
The context: I'm implementing

Half-Life(First Person Shooter) is using Speex
Martin Otten did most of the work to get Speex up and running for our games
about a month ago, and we just recently released it to the Steam beta.
So far it appears to be working pretty well, and we're interested in doing
more work using Speex going forward.
I'd love to hear any feedback that people have using it, especially at the
different quality settings. The information on how it

Regression line limited by the rage of values
Hi
In R, using plot(x,y) followed by abline(lm(y~x)) produces a graph
with a regression line spanning the whole plot . This means that the
line extends beyond the swarm of data points to the defined of default
plot region. With par(xpd=T) it will span the entire figure region. But
how can I limit a regression line to the data range, i.e between
(xmin,ymin) and (xmax,ymax)?

systray
dear,
I'm running ubuntu Dapper with newest version of wine, and everything
is fine. Only, if I start utorrent.exe via the session-manager of
ubuntu (where I configured wine so it starts utorrent on start-up) I
cannot see a system-tray icon. The same problem is for my UD-Grid
device, I can't see 'm in the system tray.
If I start manualy the program, it's all fine: even the system

fixme: How?
I first tried Wine a few months ago to see if Password Safe would
run in Linux. Being very impressed that it ran nearly flawlessly,
I've became it's maintainer in the AppDB.
Everything works except the following two functions: the "Get Help"
menu item and the "Perform Autotype" feature. The only effect of
clicking on either of these is the error messages Wine

World of Warcraft problem with Wine 0.9.31
I use Ubuntu 6.10 and just yesterday an update was offered of Wine 0.9.31 which I accepted
(Maybe its my Windows roots, where every update has to be performed to keep it secure).
I then found that World of Warcraft was crashing out. Unfortunately my Nvidia drivers mean
that Metacity/Wine/Whatever does not redraw the screen, so I cannot actually read the error,
but it is a WoW crash as such,

I installed Dreamweaver 8.
Because of Bug

Dreamweaver is de facto unusable under Wine because an essential
function doesn't work:
Pasting into the design view from clipboard is impossible.
My question:
Is Crossover "technically" identic to Wine?
Is there a chance that Crossover will not have a bug,
