similar to: setup.exe fails on wine version 0.9.20 and later

Hello, I assume this is a common item, b my icons are not appearing in the menu bar in my application, although I have seen screenshots of the same application running on other wine setups witht he icons. Is this related to my X settings, or is there something else I should look at? Thanks, Duncan McQueen

Running my jigsaw program, BigJig, under Wine-0.9.17, the screen looks like it did under early versions (0.9.12 and before), and all the jigsaw selection thumbnails have gone. This has been the case since version 0.9.15. I recall that I fixed the layout by installing fonts - something about the size of the fonts set the size of the buttons. I am running Sidenet, which links to the Linux fonts.

Odd problem. When trying to connect to an internet server in CS running on wine 9.0.17 I get the error "Your version does not match the servers. Please restart game". (Just to clarify, it is CS itself that throws this error) I also tried Team Fortress Classic with the same result. I can create a local game server without a problem, but can't connect to any internet game.

Currently attempting to run an old PC game on my Mac (Leopard). I've installed Wine using MacPorts, which worked flawlessly. Now when I attempt to install my PC Game the terminal responds with "16-Bit/DOS Support missing." Is there a way to fix this?

I have been trying to add a launcher to the gnome menu for some of my wine games, but I have found that when I add them to the menu the games complain about missing files, I assume because it is looking for the rest of the game files in the directory that the launcher is in. I've been reading around, so I found this solution (on another topic here) for enabling DOS support on Macs with wine, something having to do with "patching the linker". Can anybody either explain this in simple terms, or point me towards a guide for doing this?

Is there anyway to change the location of wine's My Documents folder for a single program or as an option when launching a program? As Myst 4 puts it's save game folder in My Documents which ends up in my home folder and I want it in the games folder. But if I change the setting in winecfg it is changed for all my wine programs.
