Hey everyone, I've recently installed Call of Duty: Modern Warfare via wine. Everything works fine, but now that I actually want to play the game, it won't start. MIDI default output port / how to select timidity by default?
Hi, Using timidity, I've been able to listen to MIDI files with Linux on a machine with an Intel 801/AC'97 chip. However, with Wine, I've had trouble. Log messages show that the first MIDI output port is used. This happens to be 'MIDI Through' 62:0, not Timidity on port 128:0. $ aconnect -ol shows the list of output ports. I have no idea what port 62:0 does (perhaps send

using several wine versions from .deb packages?
Hi, Wine documentation says that it can be installed anywhere, locate its libraries and just run. This is certainly true for self-compiled sources which could e.g. be run from their compiled location. I wonder if this is also possible with pre-built Debian/Ubuntu binary packages. Normally, Debian installs exactly one version of a package in /usr/. Is there some possibility to use multiple

setup.exe fails on wine version 0.9.20 and later
When I try to run wine /mnt/cdrom/setup.exe on the Monopoly CD-ROM it returns "Terminated" on the console. This has happened since version 0.9.20. It worked almost perfect in wine version 0.9.19. Monopoly is a Windows 16 bit game. Any idea why this is happening now? Thanks in advance, Charlie

Golden Software - Grapher 8
Hi everyone, I installed Golden Software Grapher 8 on wine 1.3.4. The installation ends with an error message which I think is not a problem. The program starts automatically after the installation and it seems to work flawlessly. Awkwardly, the program doesn't work anymore after the first time, it runs but it's window cannot be controlled in any way. I got the following messages:

I have taken an example wherein, using Ajax, the values of a second combobox are populated by a change in the primary combobox. The code is shown below. I realise it will seem as though I am asking someone to write the code for me, BUT, can someone please show me, by way of an example how to amend my index.rhtml below to use, say a radio button group instead of a combobox, wherein when you change

Wine crash
Hello, I can't use Wine from version >=0.9.18 anymore. It compiles ok and then it crashes somewhere in the middle of installation, I think when Wine tries to execute something. Even when I try to run winecfg it crashes. It worked with Wine version 0.9.17 and lower. Anyone have any idea what's wrong ? I'm running Slackware 10.0. Below is what happens when I try to run winecfg.

Syntax Error in Rcmd check on Windows
Dear R-developers, I am currently developing an R package called RLadyBug. When developing under Linux "R CMD check ." works fine without a warning. However, when I do "Rcmd check ." under Windows (version 2.4.0 and earlier) I get a ?syntax error" when checking the examples. This puzzles me somewhat, because a manual source("RLadyBug-Ex.R") on Windows works
