Hi all, I am trying to install asterisk on my system, the compiplation and installation process all seem to work fine (make ; make install ; make samples). But astersik fails to start. Is the sample configs not supposed to work out of the box? Even more confusing, it seems to fail at different points every time I start it, but this is probobly because of threads starting differently or something?

Hi: I deleted old modules in /usr/lib/asterisk/modules before make install. I built zaptel and libpri before asterisk. Modprobe zaptel and modprobe -v wctdm executed witiout complaint. Also, ztcfg shows 4 channels configured, as it should. Starting asterisk produced the output below with several warnings and a failure. Can someone help, please. Looking at the error I tried moving chan_modem* out of the modules folder and asterisk started and its working again... Hi there, AGI is partially not working for me with SAY DIGITS, SAY NUMBER, WAIT FOR DIGITS etc. It appears that result is always one for any function that looks for user input, regardless of which key was pressed. Playing sound is only possible using EXEC. This applies to two * servers with RH 7.2 and RH 7.3 and very recent CVS. Any suggestion or tips about where I goofed? Thanks, Philipp

Trying to config the latest Asterisk/zaptel with an Digium Wildcard and a single X100m FXO interface connected to a POTS analog line.
