Wildcard Testing
Greetings and I thank you in-advance, I have a system installed with both Trixbox 1.x and 2.x installed and I am trying to utilize a wildcard x100p but it does seem hang-up or release the line. I understand that the Wildcards are not recommended, but I need to get a test system up for evaluation. Here are the steps followed: Run genzaptelconf and red alarm appears in zttool Run again and it

Samba Domain Member Server -- tdbsam/winbind/idmap_rid -- file ownership ?
I have just struggled to implement a Samba Domain Server, and have some remaining issues. I have a Samba PDC using tdbsam, managing a domain called RHEA. I have (finally) configured a new Samba Domain Server (AUREUS) using winbind and idmap_rid. When I am logged in to RHEA as user GMCH I can access a TMP share on AUREUS (at last). Running 'getent passwd' I get (inter alia):

How does UDMA mode get set?
Hi all, I have been tracking -STABLE on one of my home machines for a little while, now and noticed something the other day. I was given this system, and I have only run FreeBSD-STABLE on it. The motherboard is a Supermicro370SWD with an Intel 810 "Whitney" chipset (82810DC100 GMCH + 82801AA ICH). The docs say that there is support for UDMA66, but FreeBSD reports that the drive is

tc filter + bridging + htb -- works only if ip_forward = 0
I thought that the below email would be of interest to LARTC readers. I wasted quite a bit of time tracking down this "feature" (bug?). Any comments that shed light on this would be appreciated. In short, "tc filter" + htb + bridging works only with ip_forward off. Andrew Athan ----------------------------------------------------------------------- All: It seems that

[PATCH] sysprep: Enable the network, add --no-network to disable it (RHBZ#1345813).
In commit ae6f726ecc3bc1b67fd76e51a7b1e1a33d4dcfc0 we started to use the virt-customize code to replace various virt-sysprep operations. This had the effect of adding many more possible operationg to virt-sysprep, but some of them (specifically --install) did not work unless the appliance network is enabled. It was not enabled in virt-sysprep, so these operations never worked. This change

FreeBSD 9.1 won't boot with a graid error
Hi everybody. I've just upgraded a box from FreeBSD 9 to 9.1 via freebsd-update. At the first reboot, the machine stopped with messages about GRAID : GEOM_RAID: Promise: Subdisk kjihgfedcba`_^]\[ZYXWVUTSRQPONM:0-ada0 state changed from NONE to ACTIVE The trick is that I've never setup any kind of RAID on that old box... Is there a way to completely disable GEOM_RAID loading on boot ?

[ANNOUNCE] xf86-video-intel 2.20.16
Rejoice! We have found a trick to make 830gm/845g stable at long last. Ever since the switch to GEM and dynamic video memory, those early second generation chipsets have been plagued by instability. The lack of flushing cachelines from the CPU to GMCH was eventually solved by using an undocmented bit, but 830/845 were still hanging under memory pressure. These deaths were all due to garbage

Configuring a TDM400P with one FXS port
In my attempt to setup a single FXS line I have been following the instructions for "Telephony Card Drivers" on the asteriskdocs.org site. I have managed to checkout, make and install the zaptel code and can load the zaptel module but when I attempt to load the wcfxs module it tells me: ZT_CHANCONFIG failed on channel 1: No such device or address (6) FATAL: Error running install

'mean' and 'sd' calculations do not match
Dear list, I am using R 2.1.1 on a Fedora 3 Linux, 32 bit PC. If I compute the aggregated mean and the standard deviation I get standard deviation values for factors where the mean was not computed. It seems to me that this is somehow related to the NA values. But I don't quite understand what is going wrong? Could it be related to the data import already? Some of the imported data got the

[LLVMdev] RFC: Proposal for Poison Semantics
Hello, What follows is my attempt to describe how poison works. Let me know what you think. -- David # LLVM Poison Semantics Poison is an LLVM concept which exists solely to enable further optimization of LLVM IR. The exact behavior of poison has been, to say the least, confusing for users, researchers and engineers working with LLVM. This document hopes to clear up some of the confusion

[PATCH] sysprep: Enable the network, add --no-network to disable it
This is just one possible way to fix this bug, but the simplest. Others I considered: - Keeping the network disabled by default. Options like --install wouldn't work and there would be no actionable error message telling users what to do to fix it. - Modifying virt-customize to warn/error/suggest if operations like --install were used but the network was disabled. However
