Re: Asterisk-Users digest, Vol 1 #520 - 9 msgs
Hi, Does anyone know the difference between RFC2543 and RFC3261? They are both SIP, but apparently incompatible. We are testing some hardware devices that support RFC3261 and it appears Asterisk is supporting RFC2543 and not completely compatible with RFC3261 (see below). Does anyone know how to configure Asterisk so it can do what is missing? 3. The problem occurs with confirm message

Re: Asterisk-Users Digest, Vol 23, Issue 4
Kevin, since voicemail doesn't support saving in g729 format (as far as I have seen last time I looked into the code), it would need to transcode the g729 to wav or something else at this point to save the voicemail. Isn't that why it is failing when it hits the voicemail system? (sure sounds like what the error is complaining about). philippe alex.robar@gmail.com From:

There's an excellent tutorial on Cisco's web page at http://www.cisco.com/en/US/tech/tk652/tk701/technologies_white_paper09186a00800d6b68.shtml It will tell you just about everything you wanted to know about echo and more :) The short answer to your question, however, is that echo is comprised of two components: volume and delay. Increase either one and the problem gets worse. In the

asterisk-users Digest, Vol 106, Issue 23
Hi, I am looking for the easiest and fastest way to send or pull callerID and extension# from asterisk to a web server for sales data lookup and display. User would be logged in with known extension. I have been looking at several options but was hoping someone here would have the best one. I was looking at using Master.csv but would prefer to avoid parsing it. Any suggestions much

Ques about 5 vs. 3 in CentOS-announce Digest, Vol 35, Issue 9
I don't know if I'm brain damaged this A.M. or what, but I can't figure (recall?) why this summary says CentOS 5 in the "Today's Topics", has "el5" and "centos.3" as well in the md5sum. Gentle chides for being dense this morning are accepted. TIA -- Bill
