FW: Voicemail problem, not playing back
Following up with some more tests... I just left a message in a voicemail box, and got the same behaviour (i.e. it says its starting to play ('First Message') then it goes to the VM ending menu (i.e. press 7 to delete) without playing the message. On this particular test.. I went ahead & left a 2nd VM in the inbox, then when I went to check them, they would both play properly... The

[PATCH] Tighten /etc/crontab permissions
Hi folks, While investigating OpenBSD's cron implementation, I found that they set the systemwide crontab (a.k.a. /etc/crontab) to be readable by the superuser only. The attached patch will bring this to FreeBSD by moving crontab out from BIN1 group and install it along with master.passwd. This change should not affect the current cron(1) behavior. Cheers, -- Xin LI <delphij frontfree

GetAsyncKeyState
I wrote an application in c++ which should return the GetAsyncKeyState(0x01). But I always get 0. If I click on the window of my app,I will get the right answer. GetAsyncKeyState should return systemwide clicks! The same things happens when I write a VB application. I found an app written in Delphi which uses the GetAsyncKeyState call and returns systemwide clicks. Can someone tell me whats the

No rings before auto attendant
Hi all, been searching & not finding an answer to this, although I'm guessing it's absurdly simple... I just hooked up a T1 to our * box (1.2.0), which had been using POTS lines via a channel bank.. Now when I call the new T1 circuit, there are no rings, the Autoattendant just picks up right away.. Any clue on how to make it ring twice before getting picked up? I tried immedate=no and

IVR Menu and VoiceMail quality
I have really tried to do my best googling and wiki-reading before asking this question. I couldn't find the answers there so I throw myself at the mercy of the list... I get excellent quality for SIP -> PSTN and PSTN -> SIP calls, however when I or anyone else calls from PSTN -> * the voice menus are oftentimes very choppy. Sometimes they are absolutely perfect and I cannot tell

Modifying Voicemail menus?
Is there a way to edit the options available in the voicemail menu trees? My users are complaining that it's too complicated (I know, it's not really complicated), and I wanted to remove some of the options if this is possible. So far I havent' found any info on the wiki or searches, not that it isn't out there.. I just cant' seem to find it.. Any pointers? Thanks Dan

Is it possible to Voicemail menus (not just audio files) ?
Hello, >From dialplan perspective, it seems you can't tailor your voicemail behaviour to specific needs ("dial 1 for old message listening", ...). Can anyone recommend a way to do it ? Does it make sense to write your own IVR and store audio files somewhere ? Best regards -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... URL:

Voicemail menu structure
There has been discussions about the voicemail menus and some of us would like to see an overall plan for the voicemail menus. There are 3 primary ways of arranging the menus. First is a tree structure, second is a random access structure and the third would be a hybrid of the two. (Comedian mail is currently a hybrid.) As was pointed out by Brad Bergman, the ideal would be to have it

DTMF is not working occasionally over IAX Trunk
Hello, I have a 3 server asterisk configuration where one asterisk (say A) (v 1.4.25) has a digium card connected to E1 from which calls are routed to another asterisk server (B) (1.6.0.9) over IAX trunk from which calls get routed to third server (C) (1.6.0.9) again via IAX trunk. SIP clients are connected to third server. A is the PSTN termination server, B runs the menu and AGI and C is where

Hi again, I'm trying to setup our non pri T1 (they call it a Long Distance T1), our current pbx has the signaling set to E&M, I can set em in zapata.conf, but I'm trying to track down the proper entries for the zaptel.conf file. The digium docs only show a PRI example. Our current system has these settings: Signalling: E&M Framing mode: ESF Line Coding: B8SZ here's my
