Cisco 7960G phone crashes during SIP upgrade
Hello, I've recently received a Cisco 7960G phone with the factory default SCCP firmware on it. As we're using SIP on our network, the first things i've done was to upgrade but unfortunately the phone just restarted. By looking on the TFTP logs and tcpump output, i've seen that the phone crashed and restarted just after downloading the OS79XX.TXT file, without requesting the image

7960 Not Picking up new firmware.
G'Day All. So I got the TFTP server all set up -thanks to much help from this list- the 7960 found it and updated to SIP the first firmware P0S30200. What I am now trying to do is upgrate through all the versions, as recommended, to the latest version, P003-07-3-00. I thought this would be accomplished by simply changing the sole line in the OS79XX.TXT file to P0S30203 and reboot the phone.

Cisco 7960 Beating a Dead Horse
Hi all, So I have been reading through the docs available online and the different threads on this list, but I cannot seem to get this phone to work. I have configured the OS79XX.TXT and SIP/SEP*.cnf files (see attached), when I configure the phone to point to my tftp server and reboot it I get this message: Connection received from 10.6.0.224 on port 50608 [09/02 12:16:11.750] Read request

Cisco 7960 upgrades
Hi, I got a problem of having to upgrade 35 Cisco 7960 phones from default firmware of 3.1 to 7.5. The problem I get is that when trying to upgrade I see on the tftplog that it can't seem to find the file (8 character issue). So I renamed the files to suit what is supposed to be in them. I am trying incremental upgrades from 3.1 -> 5.3 -> 7.5, with no luck. It goes to

Question about Cisco IP Phone 7960
I know this is a little off list but I can't think of a better place to ask this question. I upgrade the phone to 7.1 and it installed the Universal Application Loader. Now I'm getting Protocol Application Invalid after it reads tftp SIP(MAC).cnf Any ideas? Again sorry this is off topic

Cisco 7960 tftp question
Hello, and thank you for your time answering my question. I have a Cisco 7960 running SIP firmware POS3-06-X-XX. If I want to upload SIP configurations via *.cnf file from my tftp server, do I need to include the OS79XX.TXT and P0S3-06-X-XX.bin to the tftp server root directory to be uploaded every time the phone reboots? Thanks again for your help. Oliver

Cisco 7960 + SIP
Hello all, I know this isn't strictly Asterisk, but I'm sure that there are more people here using the Cisco 7960 w/ SIP, so I thought I'd post here. I've just bought a Cisco 7960 phone to use with Asterisk. It came with the CallManager image on it. I've got the 4.4 SIP images (P0S3-04-4-00). If I put "P0S3-04-4-00" in the OS79XX.TXT file, the phone downloads this

Re: Problem converting a Cisco 7960 to SIP
Hello all, I've got myself into a bizzare situation that I can't seem to get myself out of... Was wondering if anyone had some advice that might get me 'over the hill' on this... Some background: PBX consists of an Asterisk box (running TrixBox), 4 Cisco 7960's, 2 Polycom IP500's, and now an additional Cisco 7960. The phones are all on a separate LAN. There is

Hi all, i have a problem with some cisco 7960. Yesterday i did a firmware-upgrade from 3.1 (1.2) with P0S30203.bin as described in the most documents. Now i get the message Phone unprovisioned and in TFTP-Log i find the following line: 07.03.2005 19:58 :Timeout error sending P0S3-07-3-00.bin to 192.168.0.83, 0 bytes So i think it now wants to load the file P0S3-07-3-00.bin. Cisco 7940 [SIP], DTMF and Voicemail
Hi everyone, I'd say this question has come up and been answered before but I haven't been able to find it. I have a Cisco 7940 that I've upgraded to SIP firmware (currently P0S-3-06-3-00 - for some reason there was a failure when trying to upgrade to V7 so I left it at V6). The problem I'm having is that when I connect to voicemail the DTMF key presses dont seem to work

7960 Cisco SIP Phone TFTP Files
Hi all (is a bit of a Cisco question, but perhaps it's already been asked here). I'm trying to setup a TFTP server for dynamic configuration of my 7960 Cisco phones. Cisco CallManager Image for 7940/7960
Does anyone have the .bin file(s) to convert a Cisco 7940/7960 back to the CallManager image? I want to start playing around with the chan_skinny addition, but it seems the .exe's from cisco want to open a connection to a SQL server or CallManager (which I don't have).

cisco 7920 makes 7940 reboot
I have asterisk 1.09 running with chan_sccp.20050701 on Fedora core 4 with kernel 2.6.12. I have a Cisco 7940 working with X-lite working on XP too, connecting to each other, Asterisk and FWD.
