Pinouts for T1/E1 crossover cable WAS "RE: what cable to connect a legacy PBX to a TE410P ?"
At Sangoma we do quite a lot of back-to back T1 and E1
connections. T1 is not a very fussy connection, as the baud
rate is only about 750 kbps.
In our experience, for error free communications you can use
the following rules of thumb:
Up to 50 ft: Flat patch cable
Up to 500 ft: Ordinary twisted telephone cable Cat 5 may be
overkill unless you are going hundreds of feet.

sangoma A102 installation question
Hi!
I've went through the READMEs and could not answer this question:
During installation, the Setup program asks:
Would you like update/upgrade wanpipe drivers? (y/n)
For a pure Asterisk TDM installation - is it required to patch the
kernel or is this only when using the sangoma cards as WAN router?

Sangoma Remora A202
Hi - I just got a Sangoma A200 card with a single 2FXO module and
what appears to be an empty module. I put the card in my Dell GX260,
but the power light on the front of the box just blinks and won't
power up. I did take the power cable from the CDROM to put on the
card - I don't need the CDROM right now..
I'm looking for direction in getting this card working - I currently

current.panel.limits() of lattice returning NaN limits - why?
Hi,
I need a custom axis function for a plot, but it seems
that current.panel.limits() sometimes returns NaN limits for the plot, which
it much harder to calculate anything sensible.
An illustration:
Given this axis function:
vs.axis <- function(...){
xlim <- current.panel.limits()$xlim
ylim <- current.panel.limits()$ylim
# Debug code
print(list(ylim=ylim,xlim=xlim))

change the height or scale of the y axis
Hallo, All,
I have a question about changing the height or scale of the y axis. When I
use following two R codes, I can get two plots. Please look at the y axes,
the number of indices (x1, x2, ?) on the y axis in the first plot is smaller
than that in the second plot, and hence the space between any two indices in
the first plot is wider than that in the second plot. As the number of
indices

Is using a Citel gateway with Asterisk a good solution for reusing of the

diskless windows
Hi. I wanted to set diskless win95 but I read the list archives
and I decided not to do it diskless.
So I tried diskless windows but I got a problem.
I do this.
1.- I did booting images with bootware proms.
2.- I managed to install DOS clients from microsoft. That was painfull
because the one I downloaded from MS didn't connected to
my samba server. I used a dos clients that creates a NT

Proposed speedup of ifelse
Hugh,
(Note I speak for myself only and not for R-core) Thanks for looking into
this. I think it's great to have community members that are interested in
contributing to R and helping it continue to get better.
And I think, and my local experiments bear out, that using anyNA as a
fastpass condition does allow us to get a significant speedup over what's
in there now. To do so, though, I

Asterisk Manager Interface: Auto-answer of 'Originate' command
Does anyone know of a way to make an originate request coming over the
management interface (e.g. AstTapi click-to-dial) include the relevant
Alert-Info SIP headers to enable the originating phone to auto-answer?
I've tried setting up a custom context (see below), but the dial plan is
only entered AFTER the originating call is answered, so the SIP header
is added to the terminating call leg,

Who's doing what?
All,
Is there any way of telling which machine is doing what job? i.e. Domain
Controller, local master, wins server etc.
I have two machines and two workgroups but they both appear on the same
workgroup. I think it is something to do with which machine is doing what. I
think machine1 is acting as Domain Controller & Master Browser for
workgroup1 and Machine2 is loosing all the browse

how to specify uncorrelated random effects in nlme::lme()
Dear professor,
I'm using package nlme, but I can't find a way to specify two uncorrelated random effects. For example, a random intercept and a random slope. In package lme4, we can specify x + (x ll g) to realize, but how in nlme?
Thanks!

lattice: index plot
Dear all,
How can I make an index plot with lattice, that is plotting a vector
simply against its particular index in the vector, i.e. something
similar to
y <- rnorm(10)
plot(y)
I don't want to specify the x's manually, as this could become
cumbersome when having multiple panels.
I tried something like
library(lattice)
mp <- function(x, y, ...) {
x <- 1:length(y)
