error retrieving a video voicemail in asterisk 11
Using asterisk 11.16.0 I am unable to retrieve any voicemail with a video attachment while using any video phone. This does work in my 1.8.23.1 installation. The file is skipped with the ast_streamfile error (and moved to OLD), and the prompts following that message display the ast_best_codec error. [Apr 7 16:05:50] WARNING[17497][C-00006fdd]: file.c:1017 ast_streamfile: Unable to open

Voicemail doesn't hangup
I'm running the a very recent CVS version of asterisk on an RH9 machine. My problem is that my x100p takes about 10 seconds to detect a hangup. After that it takes about 10 more seconds for the the zaptel device to release the line. Here's an example of my console report: == Parsing '/var/spool/asterisk/voicemail/default/101/INBOX/msg0000.txt': == Parsing

Asterisk 1.4.4 VoiceMail ODBC Storage Help
Hi All, I have an issue with the ODBC voicemail storage option with asterisk. All appears to work fine, however, I get several sql execute warnings. I was wondering if anyone out there could help me get to the bottom of what is causing this and how I could possibly go about rectifying it. The warning message we are getting is as follows: WARNING[30115]: app_voicemail.c:1280 delete_file: SQL

Re: [Astlinux-users] British English Female files ready for download
Mark, While these samples are pretty good they do not work "out of the box" - there are a couple of issues: 1. the samples are 44100 samples/second and Asterisk needs them to be at 8000 samples/second. This is what happens if you prune out all of the Amercian voicemail prompts and substitute yours: Asterisk 1.2.7, Copyright (C) 1999 - 2006 Digium, Inc. and others. Created by Mark

asterisk silence suppression?
Hi all, I'm getting some noise gate like effects on our sip lines & I think I need to disable silence supression, I'm searching docs & not finding where this can be set, does * have a setting to turn this off? basically what's happening is when we stop talking, the other end hears total silence, but when we talk, they can hear the background noise in the office, this sounds odd

Re: Voicemail problem, not playing back
The wav file seems fine when I can catch it, I'm able to play it through winamp without a problem. Something is making * skip to the end of the message & not actually play any audio, then it moves the message to the 'old' folder, and agents don't normally check that folder. Any ideas where I can look to try to track this down? Thanks! Dan Elder wrote: > Hey all, am running

Rights problem with Voicemail and non-root user - yeah I know, I thought I had it fixed...
Hi, I thought I had this problem licked but there still is a rights problem with ARI and Asterisk when using a non-root user (Following the wiki at http://www.voip-info.org/tiki-pagehistory.php?page=Asterisk+non-root&diff2=25). When I issue the following: chmod --recursive u=rwX,g=rX,o= /var/spool/asterisk The above command results in the following rights on messages: msg0000.gsm

zapata.conf for non pri T1?
Hi again, I'm trying to setup our non pri T1 (they call it a Long Distance T1), our current pbx has the signaling set to E&M, I can set em in zapata.conf, but I'm trying to track down the proper entries for the zaptel.conf file. The digium docs only show a PRI example. Our current system has these settings: Signalling: E&M Framing mode: ESF Line Coding: B8SZ here's my

I have the voicemail format set to wav49 in my voicemail.conf file. When retrieving voicemails, the first message plays back ok - but then Asterisk hangs up and the log shows the following error. problem playing back voicemail
I am new to asterisk and I'm setting up a test box to flesh out a switchover we're going to do at work. Right now I'm working on voicemail. I can leave a message fine, but when I attempt to listen to messages, I am having trouble. I can dial an extension for voice mail main, login, and it'll tell me how many messages I have. I press one and it will give me the date/time for the

voicemail is not playing messages
I just upgraded to asterisk-1.2.14 and using default "streamplayer" though, I don't think is has anything to do with the voice messaging system, does it? When I enter the mailbox to listen to the recored message I press "1" and when the message starts playing all it plays is: "First messge received" and silence. The error message I get: Mar 25 11:39:02

Voicemail Sequence Bug?
I have a user, running CVS a/o 11/23/03, who has complained about "phantom" messages showing up days or even weeks after she has deleted them. So I asked her to let me know when it happened again, and she called a few minutes ago. The directory listing below shows a listing of the /var/spool/asterisk/voicemail/default/XXXX/Old directory, and to my surprise the messages are indeed

two tellabs 2572 echo board in a 253c mounting assembly?
Anyone gotten two of the 2572 echo canceller cards to work in a 253c mounting assembly? I can get one to work, but when I install two, one always fails. I've tried all my cards solo in the enclosure, on each side, and they all work properly when only 1 is installed, however, when I install two, one of them will come up, but the other always fails. Anyone know what might be causing this?
