How do I monitor the whole conversation on a Zap channel without
answering it - the channel is hanging up, I think it's because it's not

ChanSpy - Should I repatch it ?
With the deafening silence from my previous questions, I feel seriously
alone in the desire to have ChanSpy available.
I want to be able to perform a "ZapBarge" on an Agents conversation, and
ChanSpy was the answer to my prayers.

ZapBarge restrictions?
Anyone successfully implemented a solution for allowing ZapBarge call
monitoring only for a specific group of agents calls?
The issue I see is that the feature only works on zap channels, and all
of the agents (in many cases) are IP phones.
Allowing ZapBarge and ZapScan on the TDM PSTN (t100p) interface has
privacy issues for senior managers, but would allow all outbound zap
calls to be

zap barge restrictions
I have a couple of questions on the zapbarge:
1) zapbarge asks for a channel - how would a manager know what channel to
enter ? Is there any way of being able to enter an extension number instead
? I know that you can get the information from the manager interface, but I
wouldn't want to give my users access to this, or have to install / write a
system just to get an extension number from a

Which application to open Zap channel?
I'm sure this a very common and easy thing to do with Asterisk, but for
the life of me I can't find the application that will allow me to open a
Zap channel.
Real world example: To be able to connect to an open Zap channel, so it
would allow me to say, join in on a call that was originally answered by
a PSTN phone (ie. just like you would by simply picking up another PSTN
phone..!).

Asterisk call transfers not working
Hello:
We have a TDM2433E Digium Card (12 FXS, 12 FXO) and Asterisk 1.8.7.0
running. Everything seems to be ok but call transfers. This is the issue:
*A, B, C and D are in FXS ports*.
1) A calls B. B anwers.
2) B tries to transfer the call to C dialing *2 (code for attended
transfer).
3) A hears MOH. B dials number C.
4) Asterisk says the dialed number is incorrect or non existing.

I have my asterisk machine behind a Linux, Nat ...
I would like to make a suggestion and recommend that you put your Asterisk box on the outside and let it also pull duty as your firewall/nat router. The iptables overhead will be minimal on the system and you'll save yourself a lot of headaches in the long run.
The biggest problem being that having an asterisk server behind a nat, and then also having sip phones trying to connect to said

Hello List!
My Asterisk stopped making SIP-calls today, I could call from external, and
saw Call coming in over PRI, but calling the SIP/Device
wont work. I saw 5 open channels - all chan_spy. Only a restart helped.

Hi list, I'm having some strange problems since I updated to CVS HEAD three

First: I was using Iax Comm in some PCs, it suddenly stopped working, what I
get is som pieces of audio once in a while, I mean instead of listening to
the ring tone and then the voice on the other side I just hear a bit of the
ring tone, maybe another bit, a bit of someone answering... like

Call monitor/barge/train
Hi,
I'm planning on migrating someone who uses a very mature system. They would
be logging in either as AgentLogin() or AQM. The main requirement however,
is:
The supervisor will have a control panel, where he will see how many of his
agents are on call. If they are, he can "right-click" on the agent and get
the options Call Monitor (where the super just listens in on the call,

Q: How do I join an in-progress Zap channel call?
Folks,
What is the canonical way of joining an in-progress Zap channel
call? I already make use of the ZapBarge command to monitor calls in
progress, but also want the ability to join a call in case I have an
important message to pass along to one of the parties.
It seems that the basic functionality is already in place (via the
MeetMe conference bridge), but I'd like a command which I
