Polycom FW
Anyone know how to obtain firmware and starter .cfg files for Polycom phones? Despite registering at the Polycom web site, I can't locate this stuff.

Iptables configuration to handle brute, force registrations?
fail2ban might be good for this. [PATCH] v2v: bootloaders: handle no default grubby kernel (RHBZ#1519204)
When using grubby to get the default kernel of a guest, do not fail with a bogus error like: virt-v2v: error: libguestfs error: statns: statns_stub: path must start with a / character in case there is no default kernel that can be determined (e.g. because of a bogus configuration). --- v2v/linux_bootloaders.ml | 5 ++++- 1 file changed, 4 insertions(+), 1 deletion(-) diff --git

Maybe OT - routing calls in PSTN
I have a Vitelity DID which generally works, but calls from a particular caller do not reach it. Vitelity has thus far disavowed any responsibility for working through this problem. I recognize that some action might be required by another provider which is outside Vitelity's control, but it seems that they should at least be trying to help resolve the problem by helping me determine

[LLVMdev] Verifier should not make any assumptions about calls to "malloc"
Duncan, Thanks for brining the Ada issue to my attention. [LLVMdev] Verifier should not make any assumptions about calls to "malloc"
Hi Victor, > What does the Ada front-end declare malloc as? I don't really want to tell you because a correct solution should work no matter what malloc is defined to be :) What I mean by "work" is that if malloc has the standard prototype then you perform transforms on it, and otherwise you should probably just ignore it. That said, Ada outputs malloc as: i32 @malloc(i32)

Journal Aborts in VMware ESX (Filesystem Corruption)
I have several CentOS5 hosts in a VMware ESX 3.5.0 226117 environment using iSCSI storage. Recently we've begun to experience journal aborts resulting in remounted-read-only filesystems as well as other filesystem issues - I can unmount a filesystem and force a check with "fsck -f" and occasionally find errors. I've found -

[LLVMdev] Test approach to handling clobbering llvm.eh.selector return
Hi Garrison, > I hacked together a version of DwarfEHPrepare.cpp which tries to deal with the ordering of llvm.eh.exception and llvm.eh.selector. > The hacked is contained within the attached patch. it looks like you tried to copy the code for eh.exception. There are two problems with this: (1) the eh.exception code really needs to be rewritten to make use of the new SSAUpdator (then all

OT: Polycom IP330 user problem
I recently sent this email to a user in response to a problem report of phone calls going to voicemail without the phone ringing. I'm wondering if I've covered all bases, or whether there is some logical explanation I haven't considered, and generally what others' opinions/experiences are that relate. This is an Asterisk system, of course. ------- I looked at the server logs

using Frauenhofer mp3 codec
I tried to use the Frauenhofer mp3 codec and I thought I succeeded when removing winemp3 from the registry. But the entry gets created again the next time wine starts.... so how do I use the Frauenhofer codec instead of the winemp3.acm.so. The only way I found till now is by removing/renaming that file. That can't be the right way. So what is the right way to do that? As for why I want

filesystem remounted as read only
Hi, I'm running kernel 2.6.8-15, lvm2 v2.01.04-5 and acl v2.2.23-1 on a Sunblade 100 (sparc). In a few months we have experienced for several times that an ext3 filesystem is remounted as read-only (this is due to the option "errors=remount-ro" in /etc/fstab). Sometimes there is no error in log files but sometimes we see: kernel: init_special_inode: bogus i_mode (3016) kernel:

What is acceptable network latency for voipconnection?
That "program" will be detected by your ISP within a day or so, determined to be a virus, and your service will get disconnected...which n turn will not help your latency or jitter at all. VoIP can tolerate a fair amount of latency; latency over about 100ms is heard as a perceptible delay resulting in a connection that appears to be half duplex. Jitter, on the other had, is the real
