Call Pickup how to display CND of incoming number
Is it possible to display the incoming calling number on a handset when trying to pick up a call from another handset?
I currently have Call Pickup working using *8, I have also used the PickUp application successfully but I'm not sure how to use these features so the handsets show the incoming calling number and not the number that you have dialled to pick up the call.

Problem picking up a call with PickUpChan or PickUp (asterisk-users Digest, Vol 43, Issue 1)

Unfortunately (as far as I'm aware) this is a bug in the 1.4.17 release, and
therefore I don't think any config changes will fix it. We've been told to
roll back to our previous 1.4.13 installation. It also seems to manifest

CND (CID) woe on a TDM400P
G'day list,
It appears I got ahead of myself in believing I'd solved my CND (caller
id) problem. My callerid.c change got it working on one of the handsets I
have, but not the other. (Recap: The AU CND standard has an increased
delay between the end of the ring signal and the start of the CND FSK data
-- it's 500ms in US GR-30-CORE, and around 700ms in AU DC.002/TS030).

Polycom, Dial Specific Number on Handset Pickup
Hi All,
I have a Polycom Handset on a front door and I'd like the phone to dial a number as soon as the handset is lifted without having to press and buttons or enter any numbers. I know how to do this on a Linksys but I can't find out how to do it on a Polycom.
I would be greatly appreciate is some is able to tell me how this is accomplished.

David.

Can you monitor a call via the asterisk speaker system and do a call pickup if you wish
Reason.
I have a fax/ans phone with handset, that lets you monitor the caller, so if
you wish, you can pickup the call.
The asterisk is undergoing testing, it will then be online tested at the house
so I can get more familiar in setting components up, e.g. sip phones,
voicemail, transfers etc.
But, I really need the monitoring of the Voicemall being left, with the

Caller ID from Call Pickup
Hi,
I'm wondering if it's possible to get Caller ID information from a Call
Pickup. specifically on a Cisco 79xx SIP handset.
I've setup a speed dial line on my 7940 to dial *8 so I can quickly pickup a
call, but because the 7940 initiates the call the information on the screen
is "To: *8"
I gather because of the call setup it's probably not possible to

Bluetooth phone as SIP handset?
Even better you can set your firefly softphone to auto answer so that
you don't even need to be near the pc to answer.
Cheers,

CID not appearing via X100P
Hi Folks,
Prior to upgrading my Zaptel sources everything was working fine. I have a
X100P connected to my analogue line. The handset port of the X100P is
connected to my desk phone's line 2 input. When the analogue line rings I
see the CID on my line 2 but not from Asterisk on line 1 via the Cicso
ATA.
This used to work fine until I upgraded the sources.
I get this when watching the

CID NAME NOT FOUND
Last month I moved a 1.4.x Asterisk install to Asterisk 11.5.1. Everything is working well, until I noticed that Caller ID between facilities are showing properly, on the phone display, until the handset is picked up, then it's displaying NAME NOT FOUND.
I do database lookup against extension number (Of remote PBX) and use that as the MySQL key to pull name. Snippet below:

Can I dial a number from handset to pickup voicemail?
Hello
Maybe a silly question, but after some searching couldn't find answer. Is there a number I can dial to pickup and listen to my voicemail messages on my SIP phone? I am used to eg dialling *17 to pickup my voicemail messages on Avaya system?

Group dial, first phone cannot pickup call. Cisco 7905 hangs.
I have a simple dial plan to cascade calls when the first phone does not
answer:
exten => 100,1,Dial(SIP/1000,10,tr)
exten => 100,2,Dial(SIP/1000&SIP/1001,10,tr)
exten => 100,3,Dial(SIP/1000&SIP/1001&SIP/1002,10,tr)
exten => 100,4,Voicemail(u100)
Problem is that the once the call goes onto the second and subsequent
steps exten 1000 cannot answer the call. When the user

Digium Wildcard TDM400P call pickup timing
I have an analogue trunk to an AT&T Definity.
It has a DISA context defined.
From a Definity handset call the analogue port extension 1008 and wait
for dial tone from asterisk. It takes between 3&4 rings.
Likewise from Asterisk SIP handset <PBX Access No><PBX Extn> takes
nearly 10 secs to ring.
Is this configurable?

Caching Asterisk SIP useragent info?
Hello,
I'm running an Asterisk 1.4.14 on a linux machine.
Serving SIP Snom users.
I've noticed that each time Asterisk is restarted, for the first 5-10
minutes, the SIP users can dial but cannot be dialed until each phone
re-registers itself against the server.
So only after the "Saved useragent...for peer 111" line appears on the
Asterisk console, then the 111 user can be

Paging with Pickup
Hi,
I'm trying to achieve the following feature that's common in Avaya
systems:
A user page all extensions in a full duplex mode- he can hear all, and
all can hear him via their phones' speaker. When one of the extensions
picks up the handset, the call is bridged between the pager and the
person who picked up. All the rest are disconnected.
Does anyone have an idea or ever

DAHDI phantom pickup when ringing
Hi,
I've been experiencing trouble with my DAHDI channels for some time and have
finally decided to try and resolve the issue.
Essentially, the problem I am having is that when a call comes in, and my
DAHDI phones therefore ring, Asterisk thinks that one of the handsets has
picked up to answer the incoming call - whereas in actual fact it is still
on hook. The call then gets instantly

Problem with call pickup
I have configured call pickup, and this works fine.
Although there are 2 problems, perhaps anyone would know a solution to this;
- When I pickup a call from another set, the *8 code keeps being displayed
in my screen (Snom 220).
I would like it to show the phonenumber of the person calling me.
- When a caller that I've answered through Call-Pickup disconnects, my phone
does not close
