RE: Asterisk-Users Digest, Vol 21, Issue 130
Have you thought about making them agents, they would both be reachable by dialing there agent number then, and I know only one agent can be logged in at once. Linksys PAP2 / RT31P2 + multiple G.729 calls
Hi, anyone can confirm if the Linksys's ATA and Router (PAP2-NA and RT31P2-NA) have the same limitation of just one G.729 call like the Cisco ATA 186 ? I'm testing both appliances here and found this issue but could not confirm this anywhere (nothing on the manual, no document or post from any user about this). In my tests they use G.729 only on the first call and G.711 on the

Fw: linksys rt31p2 test case
Hi all, I'm trying to set up a test case for an ISP featuring an asterisk server and a couple of linksys rt31p2-na routers registering on it. Instead of using dsl lines, i'm trying to plug the * server and the routers on a cisco switch, just to test their functionality. I have created a vlan and a subnet on the switch and set up the ip addresses of the routers in that subnet. When i plug

PAP2-NA with Panasonic KX-TD1232 CE
Hello, We use Asterisk with PAP2 and today we connected the FXS ports of PAP2 to CO ports of our Panasonic KX-TD1232. Problem is that Panasonic doesn't ring - that is doesn't ring every time the PAP2 is ringing. When we reset either Asterisk or the PAP2 it usually rings, but after couple of minutes it stops and only the automatic operator is answering - after 2 rings. We tried changing

Asterisk and Panasonic KX-TD1232
Hello We have around 50 phones in our company, and I am playing with the thought to gradually go over to using sip services and ip-phones internally. However at first I would liked the Asterisk just to sit between the phone line and the Panaosnic, so I can take out one lin/number at a time to use ip phones. I am new to Asterisk, and haven't done much configuring of the PBX either. So I also

Linksys RT31P2
Has anyone tried out the Linksys RT31P2 with Asterisk? Seems like a really great solution for remote users... even supports QoS. Too bad it doesn't also have VPN functionality built in. Panasonic KX-TD500
Anyone have any luck with connecting Asterisk to the Panasonic KX-TD500. I have Asterisk connected via crossover to the TE110P. We are able to make internal calls into the Asterisk Box but the PBX vendor (I know nothing about the KX-TD500) tells us it is not possible route DID over the trunk. I find this hard to believe. Anyone have any luck with this? Thanks! -------------- next part

help combining mtext and strwrap?
Hi all, I've got some image plots on which I'd like to include some gene information (in the margins using mtext). Unfortunately, the description is rather long and will need to be wrapped to fit on several lines. From what I know about mtext, it's really only meant for single-line labels, not paragraphs. Here's some sample code of the idea I'm trying to accomplish:

Linksys register hangs Asterisk!

Yesterday I was installing Festival and also did a "aptitude upgrade" on my Debian Unstable installation. After that the problem started. After some serious testing yesterday night and today I have

DTMF Issues With Asterisk 1.2 IVR
Is anyone else experiencing problems with Asterisk 1.2, the ivr does not work. I have tried it on Linksys RT31P2 and Grandstream Handytone 496. After a call goes through you're not able to enter any of the prompts on a IVR. and cannot enter pin numbers when using a calling card or anything that requires you to enter into an ivr system. I already set my dtmf mode in asterisk. --------------
