Re: Asterisk-Users Digest, Vol 21, Issue 113
Hi List!!
Thanks for the colaboration, especially to Richard Cavanna who gave me the
necessary support.
I followed your indications and the comunication was better for the test
users. The warning indication is no jumping anymore and the voice is not
delayed. This is my sip.conf:

;realm=mydomain.tld
bindport=5060

Delayed voice for 10 secs
Hi List !!
I have a lot a questions about this incredible tool but short is my time to
learn it, so I apologize if my last question was too general. I got another
more especific trouble. I administrating an ISP and I have my Asterisk
installed on a server for testing my network performance. I followed the
quick-start tutorial provided by voip-info.org (which I think it's very
useful) and

Implementing VoIP for first time with Packetcable
Hi group!
I'm trying to make the first VoIP call in our LAN but I have some doubts. We
have a Motorola CMTS (BSR1000) which has packetcable, and we have 2 eMTA
Motorola to make some tests. I know I need a softswitch to make call
management. My question is if this software is the appropiate to install it
on my bussiness with packetcable to make some tests and the first call VoIP

[LLVMdev] bsr not implemented?
Hello,
just trying to use the dragonegg plugin with gcc on my project.
Unfortunately I get an
/usr/local/lib/gcc/x86_64-unknown-linux-gnu/4.5.2/include/ia32intrin.h:170:35:
error: unsupported target builtin ‘__builtin_ia32_bsrdi’ used
error. I use (and need) the "bsr" (bit scan reverse) instruction. So it
seems it isn't implemented (yet). Can I safely use gcc inline assembly

Asterisk and Packetcable
Hi group
I wrote 2 years ago to know if there is some workaround for PacketCable.
Since then I got no answer and now I hope there's something about.
Is there any chance to use Asterisk as softphone with cable modem technology
using Packetcable?
Thanks in advanced

[PATCH 2] more changes in bitmath.h
1) FLAC supports only MSVS 2005 and newer, so (_MSC_VER >= 1400)
is always true and can be removed.
2) The argument for FLAC__clz_uint32() is of FLAC__uint32 type, so
FLAC__clz_soft_uint32() should have the same argument type.
3) The patch removes unnecessary parentheses around 'word' variable.
4) It also replaces "sizeof(FLAC__uint32) * CHAR_BIT - 1 -

[PATCH 3/4] x86/emulator: properly handle lzcnt and tzcnt
These instructions are prefix selected flavors of bsf and bsr
respectively, and hence the presences of the F3 prefix must be handled
in the emulation code in order to avoid running into problems on newer
CPUs.

On windows, yes, unsigned long is 4 bytes for both 32 and 64 bit versions.
This is not true for most Unices.

PATCH: bugfixes for bitmath.h
More or less detailed explanation of this patch.
1. The first parameter of _BitScanReverse() and _BitScanReverse64() is a pointer to unsigned long (4-byte int). However _BitScanReverse64() is called with a pointer to FLAC__uint64 (8-byte int). IMHO it's a bug and this patch changes the type of idx variable inside FLAC__bitmath_ilog2_wide() from FLAC__uint64 to unsigned long.
The type of idx

No Voice path during NCS call with Asterisk 10.0.0
Hi,
I tried to establish NCS call b/w 2 endpoints of same PacketCable MTA
using asterisk-10.0.0.
I observed that MDCX sent to aaln/1 contains its own SDP. Some I
observed with aaln/2.
So voice path is not established b/w aaln/1 and aaln/2.
My Configurations:

Warning: No path to translate with SJPhone
Hi list!
I'm making tests for Asterisk. I've tested with 2 users installing SJphone
and it worked fine, but when I install it over a third user with the
softphone, the phone dial for 2 seconds and a window alert goes out on the
softphone:

Call rejected: 486 Busy Here
And on my Asterisk server this message:

Hello,
I start trying to use a USB dongle and a Bluetooth GSM phone to make GSM

Unfortunately I get a "Everyone is busy/congested at this time" whenever
I try to Dial("IAX2/****@****/2", "BLT/MotorolaLara/3474501***")
For sure I make some mistake in the configuration. Unfortunately I don't

Early legalization pass ? Doing early legalization in an existing pass ?
Hi all,
Some non trivial legalization of operations which aren't supported by the
backend would benefit from having the optimizer pass on them. I noticed
some example trying to optimize various pieces of code over the past weeks.
One offender is the cttz/ctlz intrinsic when defined on 0. On X86, BSR and
NSF are undefined on 0, and only recent CPU have the LZCNT and TZCNT
instructions that

Asterisk and PacketCable
Hi group!
I'm very interested on VoIP and trying to make some tests with 2 eMTA
motorola (SBV5120) but with the PackectCable architecture I need a
softswitch. My question is: is Asterisk and PacketCable compatible? If they
are...., how can I configure it to act as a Call Management Server into my
LAN?
Which I have read from this mailing list is Asterisk with SIP but I believe

What about NCS and Asterisk?
Hi List!!
I've been reading about NCS and Asterisk which I think it's very dificult to
put them together. Is there any chances to registrer a Motorola SBV5120 ,
which work with NCS (variant of MGCP), with Asterisk? I know exists patches
but they're really don't work for what I read on the mailing list. I think
it could be possible to do that union between 5120 and * due to

One interface is connected to a cisco catalyst switch
The other interface is connected directly to a CMTS (a sort of router

Intermittent ACCESS DENIED
In a follow-up to a previous post a couple weeks back, we've implemented a
Samba 3.0.20 (Suse packages on 10.0 - recompiled to include idmap_rid)
server to replace the Windows 2000 file server in our Win2003 Active
Directory. For the most part things have been going well, but occassionally
people will get access denied errors to things that they were accessing just
fine minutes before. With
