Multiple IAX clients behind a firewall
Hi all, I've searched the wiki, and my basic assumption at this point is to run multiple IAX clients behind NAT I need to specifically code each client to use a different port and then setup that port to be forwarded from the NAT router to their private IP address. At the moment, I can't seem to get more than one IAX client registered behind NAT... am I correct in my above

invalid wav gsm frame size: 1 bytes ??
I couldn't find any specific reference to this but maybe Im missing something completly... anyways, when trying to mix a few wav files together post-recording (the -in/-out files) using a pretty vanila soxmix line, I get the error: Done Mixing OUT115-20060215-150749-1139976460.7898-out.WAV..... Extensions.conf error - 'MaximumInclude level(10) exceeded'
I don't follow. Are you saying there's a limit of 10 contexts within extensions.conf? If, on the other hand, your saying that each context can only have 10 #include statements, I tried that too. See below. I put 12 #include's across two contexts, and still got the same error, I not sure that goto's are much of a solution, but I'll have to proof it. And that's my

Oz ISDN
In Australia, Telstra, the local telco provides isdn modem for isdn connection. The modem has 2 analogue telephone jacks and a serial port for connection to dialup internet. My question is that will it be possible to use Zaptel TDM02B to connect to the analogue jack instead of getting a fritz card to do the telephony. Will there be less feature if doing so? -- David Kwok, CISSP Tel: 612

T1 pricing in Oz
I'm looking at getting a T1 into a location in Melbourne, Australia and was wondering if anyone has a good source and pricing for this. Unexpected dirty buffer encountered at do_get_write_access:598
Hello, I am not subscribed to this mailing list. My apologies if non-members are not allowed to post in this forum. I have a Linux-2.4.19pre10aa4 computer and I have seen an error message "Unexpected dirty buffer encountered at do_get_write_access:598 (03:05 blocknr 0)" appears in the log. With a little bit of research I found that this message is printed from fs/jbd/journal.c,

Milliwatt Test Number List
Hello: Does anyone know of a list of milliwatt test numbers for debugging echo? Specifically I am looking for a milliwatt test number in Canada, preferrably in a 416 or 905 NPA exchange....different carriers would also be nice....ie. Bell Canada, GT, Sprint (Now Rogers Telecom) I called Rogers NOC and asked them for the milliwatt test number....they didn't even know what it was....so I

Adjusting gain, Milliwatt and ztmonitor
I have been trying to adjust the gain as per this document without any success: http://lists.digium.com/pipermail/asterisk-users/2004-November/071301.html I have a PSTN and VoIP (SIP) connection via *. I disabled all echo cancel/training in zapata.conf and set tx/rxgain to 0. I then changed my extensions.conf so that when I call the VoIP line from the PSTN line, it plays the Milliwatt

Analyzer for Milliwatt
Hi, app_milliwatt is a nice tool for a quick check of the line quality. Anyway, hearing to that tone for more than a minute is painful. Does anyone know the "opposite" application, i.e. an application, that "hears" and listens for a 1000 Hz tone and displays the quality in any unit? If not, I'll think about developing one. Regards, Roger.

Effectively using a telco Type 102 Milliwatt Test line with ztmon itor -v to set txgain/rxgain in zapata?
I am trying to obtain optimum gain settings for a bank of analog lines connected to a channel bank. My telco has provided a 'Type 102' test line to use for incoming level calibration. This is functionally equivalent to app Milliwatt(), but provides tone from the CO inwards. Question is, how should one use this a 0dbm test source with ztmonitor? Am I correct in understanding that a 0dbm

tuning an x100p in Australia for echo cancellation
I have an x100p which suffers from echo (no surprise there apparantly :), and a few of the things I've read about tuning out echo say the first thing to get right is the tx and rx gain, and for that you need a few different types of test lines from the telco (Telstra, Optus, whatever). Does anyone have any numbers in Australia for such lines? I think they just need to send out a tone of a

Milliwatt Analyzer available
Hi, some days ago we discused here the need for an analyzer for the 1000 Hz tone, as opposite application to Milliwatt. Here it is: Mwanalyze http://planinternet.net/download/voip/asterisk/app_mwanalyze.c It performs a Fourier analysis for a fixed frequency and tells the amplitude. The frequency is not limited to 1000 Hz, but can be passed as argument. The periode duration must be a mulitple

stop monitor on transfer
Guys. This idea has been banging my headfor days now and I feel the need to share with you. Imagine this scenario: all calls come in thru a receptionist, asterisk records all incoming calls, the receptionist's work is to transfer the calls to internal people but some of them are bosses and you know how bosses are, they don't want their calls to be recorded, so, I have been trying to

Bigpond Media Downloader works with Wine
Hi there, This is my first EVER linux-based post (scary!). Just to say I switched to linux (Xubuntu 9.04) yesterday from XP, and have got everything that HAD to be exe working, including Bigpond Media Downloader. Bigpond is an Australian communications network, who also sell songs, movies, etc. They have a media downloader specifically for their files, which was making me a bit nervous - it's
