Australian approved 4BRI PCI adapter preliminary testing results
I have successfully placed a call into and out of the card from Asterisk using vISDN. The current vISDN snapshot now contains the PCI id's for the card so no patching should be required. Most of the initial testing failure was due to misconfiguration of vISDN by me and a bad entry in my sip.conf resulting in one way audio. So I have established that at least 1 channel of 1 port works in TE

MultiBRI in Australia - found one - maybe
I may have found a source of an A-Ticked HFC 4BRI PCI adapter in Australia, and will be testing one next week if all goes well. I don't want to post the details of the reseller online unless invited to do so, so if nobody replies and says they are interested then I won't :) I'll follow up once I've tested it. Let me know if you want the details. James

why does rsync list files for one directory but not another
Hi, I'm running rsync 2.5.7 on RHEL3 locally and 2.5.4 on RH7.3 remotely. Below is a transcript of a session where rsync lists the files that it will transfer for /usr/lib/courier-imap/etc but not for /home/jeff. Would someone tell me what I need to do to get it to work? The downside of Asterisk and least cost routing...
I forgot to pay this month's phone bill, and never noticed until family (the in-laws, who are too cheap to try the cell phone if landline fails, because it is 'more expensive') told me they were unable to reach us... As it turns out, the phone company disconnected us, but because Asterisk routes all outgoing calls in the Netherlands over VoipBuster, I never noticed anything! ;-) If

Credit card processing through Australian gateways (eway etc)
Hi there Has anyone out there embarked on credit card processing in a Rails app through Australian gateways such as eway? I''m aware of Payment and ActiveMerchant, but neither support Australian gateways. It''s a little beyond me right now to hack these to work with eway. Any clues would be appreciated here. Administrivia: Australian co-lo space wanted
Hi, I would like to find a home for a public anoncvs, cvsweb and snapshot repository for Portable OpenSSH in a decent datacenter. Can anyone recommend (off-list) good and affordable co-lo facilities in Australia, preferably Melbourne? The facilities needed are a couple of RU and Internet connectivity. IPv6 access is a strong plus, as is access to multiple carriers. If an ISP or data centre

Coles OnLine under Wine? (Australian retailer)
Has anyone had any sucess with the Coles OnLine tool under Wine? I got the installer to run without any pain, but the main thing doesn't seem to want to go. I'm actually having trouble just knowing what to run. I've found the only installed .exe, which seems to be something called WinSurfer, but it barfs and puts up an empty dialogue box :( I can supply the output with various flags

Australian STD "pips" & Telstra pstn
Hi folks, just a quick update.... we managed to solve our problem by getting telstra to turn of the STD pips on outbound calls. We don't the effect yet on inbound (but we haven't had problems in the past) as most of our lines with x100p's are generally only used for outboung. Gary .

Australian Caller ID with Sipura SPA-3000
Hi All, I am using a Sipura SPA-3000 as an FXO gateway to bring calls in and out of Asterisk. I am using "PSTN Ring Thru Line 1" (on the "PSTN Line" tab) so Asterisk answers the call rather than the SPA-3000. It is all working perfectly except I can't get the SPA-3000 to pass caller ID to Asterisk. It passes "Display Name", "User ID" and any "PSTN
