Q: Status of feature Call Deflection / Partial Rerouing in chan-capi and zaphfc
Hello,
AFAIK the feature CD (call deflection) is only possible on
point-to-multipoint links, is this correct?
I've heard about the feature "partial rerouting" which should do the
same on point-to-point-links. Is this implemented in either bristuff or
chan-capi(-cm)?
Thanks in advance,

CAPI not installed
I own a ME600 EPIA Mini-ITX main board with the latest Debian distro
(kernel 2.6.8) with isdnutils-base, libcapi20-dev, libcapi20-2,
isdnactivecards installed. I have a QuadBRI module by Junghanns with
bristuff-0.2.0-RC3a (with asterisk-1.0.3, zaptel-1.0.3 and
libpri-1.0.3), and chan_capi-0.3.5. I followed all INSTALL instructions,
but I have some strange behaviour. All modules seems to be

chan_capi or chan_mISDN vs bristuff
Hi list!
I'm currently using a HFC-S card for my ISDN BRI line with bristuff. The
instability is driving me crazy however.
I'm having continuous problems where inbound calls will not work after
some time of operation (the number then appears as not in use to the
caller) or also outbound calls do not work.
The solution is to unload the modules, stop asterisk, re-load the modules

i4l --> capi move - how?
I have * with i4l installed and working - on a dumb eicon card.
It seems in order to get DTMF out of the BRI (for business banking -
etc) - I should change from i4l drivers to capi drivers.
wiki help seems to be for the Fritz card only...???
I have ticked the suggested boxes in 'menuconfig', explored the
capi4linux websites - etc... but am missing some magic.

AVM Fritz! + chan_capi + mISDN + PTP
Hello everyone,
I have been using an AVM Fritz! card with chan_capi and mISDN for
quite a while in PTM mode and it was working finely.
Now, I needed more DID/MSN, so I switched to PTP. But now nothing
works anymore :(
I am using Asterisk on Debian Sarge stable and installed Asterisk
along with chan_capi from apt-get. I installed mISDN from the CVS of
isdn4linux.de.
It is :

chan_capi and bristuff
Hi,
Reading from www.voip-info.org, i can see that "Junghann's chan_capi is now
part of bristuff <http://www.voip-info.org/wiki/view/Bristuff> , as of
version 0.3.0-pre".
What does that really mean ?
Shall I understand I can share a Junghanns QuadBRI board between 2
CAPI-enabled software (like a 0.3.0-pre bristuffed Asterisk for instance) ?
If positive, what are the pros and

chan-capi and dtmf
Hi List,
I'm having a problem with detecting incoming dtmf tones with chan_capi,
using an AVM Fritz card. I have set up softdtmf and relaxdtmf, both to 0,
expecting that the capi module will detect the tones, but it did not. I also
set both to 1, expecting that the asterisk dsp functions will detect them
but it did not either.
Can anyone provide any ideas how to overcome this issue?

Chan Capi Audio Quality Issue...
Hello all,
I've just finished to install chan_capi with 3 AVM Fritz PCI cards.
It correctly loads the 3 drivers, and * starts without errors.
immediately after * start, audio quality is really fine, but, after the
first incoming call, all incoming audio is broken, trembling and stuttering.

Recomended ISDN for Asterisk ?
Hi
I have installed the http://asteriskathome.sourceforge.net/ with a
Digium card with no problems, very good !
Now I want to install my Billion PCI ISDN card (HFC based) in TE mode.
I get a little confused with Isdn4Linux, ZapHFC HIAX and the need to
install Capi !
Please suggest best and easiest approach ?
Thank you !

Chan CAPI and Latest CVS wont compile
When I saw the update for Cisco Phone RTP issue I thought I would try
it.
Unfortunately chan_capi wont compile on this update.
Can anyone recommend a good * release for Capi, Bri ISDN and Cisco
7940's SIP 6.3.
Or will CHAN_CAPI also be updated ?

zaphfc hardware & sound trouble
Hi,
I've been learning asterisk for a couple of weeks now - and it worked for me
as faar as standard configurations where concerned (sip/iax
outbound/isdn4linux & capi with AVM Fritz!, Digium X100P FXO).
Now I recently I'evaluating to use asterisk as a replacemnt for our
companies (15 employees) legacy pbx system and I'm experiencing multiple
problems with the hfc isdn cards:

using a Gigaset SX440isdn on a Diva 4BRI ?
Hello,
I just received a couple SX440isdn phones and was wondering if they can
be plugged into a Diva 4BRI port in NT mode and work with
asterisk+chan_capi?
I know they probably work fine with mutliHFC cards with either bristuff
of chan_misdn but since I have some spare Divas, I was curious about
their potential as phone ports.
The Diva's 3 and 4 ports are already set to NT mode at boot

the C2 will have 2 sections.
But how is look like this ?
Only on the first port is asterisk assume connections, but nothing on the
second card port. In the dmesg is only the capidrv-1 shown,

cheap HFC card on Bristuff vs cheap HFC card on i4l vs Fritz ISDN BRI card on CAPI
Hello
I have asterisk running in Red Hat 9 with a cheap HFC card on i4l. I have
choppy sound problems sometimes, and echo problems often. I am using a 2
port Grandstream ATA, Grandstream BT and a Grandstream GPX-2000
I read that changing to BriStuff will fix the echo problems, but have also
read other users say that the only way they solved the echo/choppy sound
problems was using a Fritz ISDN

capiHOLD missing in BRIstuff 0.3.0
Hi,
I am trying to upgrade an Asterisk 1.0 with chan_capi 0.3.4 to a more
recent version, but I cannot find any working combination of Asterisk an
chan_capi any more:
On "junghanns.net" there is a chan_capi 0.3.6, but this won't compile
against any recent Asterisk (missing channel_pvt.h).
The production version of BRIstuff comes with an old asterisk (1.0), the
experimental version

chan_capi, chan_misdn and chan_modem
Could someone please comment on the current state of chan_capi,
chan_misdn and chan_modem channel drivers in terms of functionality and
stability. Specifically, which channel driver would be best for a
passive PCI HFC or W6692 ISDN card. The chan_misdn wiki claims that
chan_capi distinguishes between junghanns and non-junghans cards, and
that chan_misdn is better suited for general misdn

CAPI / Channels
hi all,
i have a probably very stupid question/problem.
for testing purpose i am trying to get asterisk running with two isdn
cards. I'd only like to here the demo sound when i call the number - but
nothing works.
The output of show channels is not showing any channel - should there be
4 channels ? - capi info shows my two cards perfectly.
The ISDN Controller's are attached to an PTMP

Dahdi > CAPI migration
Hello Folks,
I looking to migrate a pbx from one server to another. The original server has this ISDN card:

00:00.0 ISDN controller: Cologne Chip Designs GmbH ISDN network Controller [HFC-4S] (rev 01)
?
The new server:
00:00.0 I2O: Digital Equipment Corporation StrongARM DC21285 (rev 04) << AVM ISDN Controller C4
Now I'm not fully aware of both's cards functions since the manuals

Réf. : Re: Fritz ISDN PCI v2 and CAPI
I tried that but it still doesn't work... I think I don't have the correct
approach. Have I to install any ISDN drivers (=modules ?) BEFORE dealing
with CAPI ?
If yes, why shouldn't I use the hisax drivers (which are kernel ones)
instead of fcpci drivers (which doesn't seems to work, by the way...)
And finally, how is it possible to link the two modules together?
As you can see,
