anyone using metermaid / parked call BLF?
Hi all,
I'm using 1.2.9.1, with the "metermaid" patches to show parking spot
status on Snom BLF lights.
I see from http://www.asterisk.org/node/97 that the metermaid code has
changed substantially since 1.2.9.1.
Is anyone successfully using the "new" metermaid functionality in 1.4.x?
I'd like to hear any good/bad experiences before I attempt even a test

call parking "hint"
Hi,
Is it possible to use the hint priority to allow call parking slots to
be monitored on (for example) Snom indicator lamps? How do you refer to
the slots (i.e., what is the "channel") in the hint?

Test my test-branch!
Friends,
The developer team for Asterisk not only consists of coders - a very
important part are the testers, those that test new code and give
feedback.
For a few weeks, I've been maintaining a large number of branches
with various stuff in them and have gotten very little feedback, not
enough to judge whether or not to move forward with these patches.
Some, but not all, code is

Sticky Park
My company for various reasons has asked that I come up with a way to
have previously parked calls be re-parked in the same parking slot. I
have looked at setting up asterisk so that the receptionist chooses
which slot to place a call, but I think there is an easier way. That is
when I came up with the idea of "Sticky Park". Here is how it would
work. A call would come in and

asterisk call parking + SNOM lighted buttons?
I'm trying to get call parking working with the lighted buttons on the
SNOM 200. I have set the 5 buttons to "Park Orbit", for extensions 700-704.
Pressing the first button (x700) does park the call. However, the
remaining buttons (x701-704) don't allow me to pick up parked calls, or
show parking status via the LEDs. I can only pick up parked calling by
manually dialing the

audio cuts out during IVR
Hi all,
I'm running 1.6.2.0-rc6, and I'm running into a problem: sometimes the
audio vanishes in the middle of listening to an IVR background prompt.
This happens with both analog (Digium card) and IAX2 incoming calls.
The prompts are stored in ulaw format (and the IAX2 calls use ulaw).
The asterisk console claims that the IVR prompts are proceeding in the
expected fashion, but I

Dynamic Call parking
Hello,
I am trying to create a dynamic call parking lot using
https://wiki.asterisk.org/wiki/display/AST/Application_Park
But this manual is not enough to fix my problem : Asterisk keeps trying
to park the call in the default parking lot :

Question Regarding Visual Park Functionality - Hardware/Software
Hello List!
I am hoping someone may be able to assist with the following feature I am
looking to implement:
I would like to use a visual park function if possible, here's how I see it
working....
-> Call comes into caller A
-> Caller A places the call in orbit (or park) by dialing 700
-> A message is then sent to illuminate a line on each of the phones in this
office indicating a

Non automated call parking
>From discussions with the receptionist staff, this is what we need:
X number of buttons for parking slots.
These buttons should be lit when a call is parked there.
When on a call, just pushing an unlit button will park the call. (The do not want to hit hold, transfer, etc.)
Hitting Transfer and the button would most likely be OK.
To pick up a call, they can push the parking slot button.

VIA EPIA DeadLock Issues
Greetings,
I've been having a large number of deadlock issues lately on chan_sip occurring only on VIA EPIA ML6000 boards. I'm curious if anyone else is having similar issues.

rebooting snoms in 1.6
With Asterisk 1.4 I could use commands like:
/usr/sbin/asterisk -rx "sip notify reboot-snom mjc_home"
to reboot a snom phone. Now, with 1.6, when I try that, I get:
Unable to find notify type 'reboot-snom'
Command 'sip notify reboot-snom mjc_home' failed.
Do I need to add some magic to sip_notify.conf? I haven't quite figured
out how to make it work.

IAX2 + Sonicwall
Hi all,
I currently have an Asterisk test server behind a TZ170 Sonicwall
firewall / NAT box, with several DIDs.
I've found that inbound IAX2 calls don't work reliably (i.e., I get a
busy tone) unless I enable "Use Consistent NAT" in the Sonicwall. This
feature is poorly documented by Sonicwall, so I thought I'd pass it along.
Has anyone else run into this, or figured

echo in Snom 360 phones
Hi all,
One of my users reports frequently hearing echo on her Snom 360 phone,
even while talking to other Snom phones (via Asterisk) on the same LAN
(i.e., all-digital low-latency connection). I can never reproduce it
though, and swapping the phone didn't help.
Has anyone else seen "mystery echo" on Snom phones? Any suggestions for
debugging?
On my own Snom 360, I sometimes

Park and PARKINGDYNAMIC
I have been trying to get the dynamic parking working.
For some reason when I park a call using this method the console says it is
using the default parking context not the one I am trying to specidfy. It
also is playing the parked extension to the caller. I am transfering the
call to an extension that is doing a goto to the context below. Any ideas
or examples on how to make this work.

Stuck Parked Calls?
I've lurked for a while, but I think this is one of my first "pleas" for help. I'm having issues where a parked call using the macro below is getting "stuck". Users park the call via a blfxfer key on an Aastra phone. If the call is a blind transfer, it tries to park the call. If it isn't a blind transfer, it tries to unpark the call. Only 2 extensions (2759 and

playing wav49/gsm files on linux?
How can I play wav49 or gsm voicemail files on FC6? Nothing seems to
play them (hxplay, xine, mplayer, etc). I think I have all the normal
codec packages installed.
I can play regular wav files, but they're too big.

jitterbuffer causes flaky IAX2 incoming connections?
I've been having problems with incoming IAX2 calls - some work, but a
large fraction are answered with "dead air" or disconnects from my IAX
provider.
Disabling the jitterbuffer seems to eliminate the problem (so far)! Has
anyone else seen this? I'm using 1.2.6, but I'm not sure what my
provider is using.
