The 941 comes with 4 line appearence buttons which can individualy be configured to point at any extension. Has anyone got any information on bulk provisioning of Linksys SPA-941/94s? There is an overview in the admin guide but it refers to a different provisioning guide that I haven't found anywhere. SPA-941 (and others ) Transmit Sound Quality
Hello, This is not exactly an Asterisk question, but I was encouraged to seek advice here anyway. The kindness of the * open source community is legendary :) I am getting going with an Asterisk 1.2 box, and I'm having trouble getting good quality transmit sound using handsets with VoIP phones. I'm primarily trying to focus on SPA-941, but also experimenting with Aastra 9113i and Uniden

SPA-841 spontaneous voicemail problem
Hello. A while back, I noticed an odd problem with our SPA-841 phones connected to Asterisk. Now we are having a different odd problem, and I'm not sure if they're related. I wonder if anyone else has experienced anything else like this, and/or if there is any reasonable explanation? Occasionally, one of our SPA-841's will spontaneously start up with "Welcome to Comedian

Sipura SPA-941 not available after Asterisk & Freepbx upgrade
I'm experiencing a problem with a Sipura SPA-941 not available for incoming calls after Asterisk & Freepbx upgrade. I can dial out with the phone gto any other internal or external ext. It is registered with the Asterisk server. When I dial the Sipura directly from any other extension, it goes directly to vm. I have other Sip softphones that are working fine. SPA-941 Disable call waiting or Disable Call waiting via asterisk
I'm trying to disable call waiting for Linksys SPA-941, but unfortunately as far as I have seen, there are no parameters on the web interface regarding this feature. I just want callers to hear the busy tone when the called party is at the phone. Probably I can accomplish this by using the "disable call waiting" in asterisk as well, but I have not been able to find any

Current viewpoints on the Sayson/Aastra 480i
I have read the user reports on the Aastra 480i SIP phones, but the last report is from October, and the advice was to stay away from these units. I was looking at the cisco 79XX series or the SPA-941's, but they don't have backlit displays. I also like POE support so I don't have to run multiple wires to the phones and makes for a neater look. I dislike the looks of the SNOM

Cisco SPA 5xx/3xx/9xx phones don't respond to SIPAddHeader(Call-Info: answer-after=0)
All other phones we work with will auto-answer when we do this: [macro-paging1way] exten => s,1,SIPAddHeader(Call-Info: answer-after=0) exten => s,n,Page(${PAGINGLIST}) exten => s,n, Hangup The SPA phones simply ring. I have verified that Auto Answer Page is set to yes (the default). We've tried a variety of firmware versions and phone ages, going back to an old 942 and new 504s.

Anyone use the Linksys phones?
Is anyone out there using any of the newer linksys phones since Cisco took over? I am more specifically looking at the spa-941 & 942's. Just curious about call quality, programability, and functionality with asterisk. I have read through the literature, but would like some real world feedback. Thanks

SPA-841 "Decode Latency"?
We're investigating audio quality issues in our system; maybe someone can help. We're using Asterisk as a basic PBX, with a single PRI on one side and SIP phones on the other: Sipura SPA-841's. We're experiencing several audio effects which seem to commonly correspond to network failures (packet loss, high jitter, etc manifested as "robot voice", dropouts, periodic

Sipura SPA-841 auto-answer support [patch]
Sipura has implemented auto-answer in version 0.9.5 of the SPA-841 firmware. However, it is implemented via the Call-Info header, which Asterisk stable doesn't currently support. The attached patch implments a quick hack to support the Call-Info header from the Dial() application by way of setting the CALL_INFO variable. For example, the following macro can be used to dial up a single

I recently posted a question RE the Sipura 941 and using different ring tones, Thanks to hads I managed to use SET(_ALERT_INFO=Classic-1) to achieve this but trying this on the GXP 2000's didn't seem to do the trick?? Has anyone one had any luck on this topic? Also haven't been able to find any info on an auto-answer for the GXP 2000, again, I have succeeded in doing so with the

Feedback on Linksys SPA-921 and GrandStream GXP-2000
Hello I'm about to order a GrandStream GXP-2000 and a Linksys SPA-921 I'd like to have some user feedback about how those phones perform, and whether their LCD screen displays both the caller ID name and number (The GrandStream BT-100 only displays numbers, which isn't very helpful). Thank you.

SPA-3000 VOIP-PSTN gateway - long delay between answering and ringing
Greetings, We are currently testing a Sipura SPA-3000 as a gateway from our Asterisk system to a PSTN line for 911 access. We have a number of locations and want to place an SPA-3000 in each, connected to a PSTN line that will provide the correct ANI/ALI information to 911 for each location. It all works great, except for a reasonably significant (4 seconds) delay between when the SPA-3000

"Decent" sub-$100 SIP phone.
Hey, all. I quoted a customer about $100 for some cheap SIP phones. I was planning on using the BT-102's, but he called said they look like "Princess phones," and I have to admit that he has a point. Some of the other inexpensive phones look decent, but (for example) the SPA-841's wiki entry says the remote end gets a lot of static. Since it'll be being used from a noisy
