Call Waiting CallerID
Hi,
According to the wiki, we need to have both callwaiting=yes and
callwaitingcallerid=yes , and that's what I have in zapata.conf.
I can hear the call waiting alert tone when a 2nd call comes in during
an established call, and I can switch between the calls without
problems. However, CallerID on the 2nd call does not show up with the
call waithing alert tones.
Am I missing something?

X100P callerid ETSI - caller*ID failed checksum
Dear All,
I am a newbie about asterisk. I have 1x X100P card 3x Sip phone
I got aware of problem, after I saw the caller id on my sip phone. I
noticed that if I receive a call from GSM Operator A, I can see caller id.
But any other operator, I got no caller id, even my direct PSTN service
operator. So at that moment I was using *1.0.9. than I changed to
asterisk@home 1.3(1.0.9). I got same

debugging callerid help
I've got a rather strange callerid problem and don't know how to debug it.
I've got two X100P cards installed in a RH9 box and both are connected to
individual pstn pots lines. Both are equipped with callerid and both display
callerid info on regular analog phones (verified 100%). Incoming and outgoing
calls are handled just fine.
When an incoming call arrives on one X100P card, *

Hi Andy,
You also need to set "CW Setting: Yes" on the User 1 and User 2 screens.
Or, dial from each line, whatever you have set for

caller unable to transfer
Hey all, posted this the other day, but re-read it & realized I didn't give enough info to be useful.. so I thought I'd try again.. I'm using AAH 2.0 (* 1.2.0) and am unable to transfer a call when I initiate the outgoing call. In AMPs general settings, I've tried changing the Dial command using tT but transfers are only available when I'm the recipient of the call, not

Digits being dropping when dialing from certain analog phones
FC2, Asterisk 1.0.0, Zaptel 1.0.0
TDM400P Port 1 FXS Port 4 FXO
Standard analogue handset plugged in with pstn line.
Problem:
I have 2 analog phones that I use, when plugged directly into pstn line
both phones work perfectly, dialing no issues. When I plug the handsets
into the TDM400P, one works perfectly the other drops random numbers.
Its like the tone is slightly different on the second

CallerID Question
Hi,
I have a weird situation where I have a noop command putting the
callerid of the caller on my asterisk console so I know who is calling
as a test, but it is putting the callerid of my extension in instead of
the callerid of the incoming line.
My /etc/asterisk/zapata.conf is
[channels]
context=default
;switchtype=national
usecallerid=yes
cidsignalling=v23
cidstart=polarity
hidecallerid=no

CallerID Debug On Zap/POTS Channel
Hi all,
I've been trying to wrap my mind around this one for several days now.
How can I 'debug' the CallerID reception on a Zap/POTS channel? I have
a POTS line with CallerID and a Digium TDM11B card right now. I have my
signalling set to ks for both sides, can make and receive calls just
fine. But I never get CallerID on incoming calls. I get the following
messages:

Specs
FC2, Asterisk 1.0.0, Zaptel 1.0.0

I tried hitting the keys slowly as well as at my normal speed, all tones
are heard in the handset for all numbers.

TDM-400P + CallerID
Hi,
I'm just starting out with Asterisk, in combination with a TDM400,
filled with 2 FXS on channels 1 and 2, and 1 FXO on 4. Having just
started, all I want right now is to be able to answer incoming calls on
a phone connected to channel 1. The trouble is the caller id. I have
caller id enabled on my line, my phone supports it, and when I connect
the phone directly to the line, it works.

Definity <-> Asterisk w/callerid
Hi there,
So I've finally got our Definity and * box talking back and forth, but
can't figure out how get callerid sent from the Definity to *.
Has anyone had any success with this? I've tried every combination of
zapata.conf variables pertaining to callerid with the same results:
Accepting call from '' to 'xxxx' on channel 0/1, span 1.
On the SIP phones I receive the

Problem with Asterisk + TDM410 FXO
Hi
I am in the middle of move a small business over from legacy PABX + PSTN
lines to VOIP infrastructure.
I borrowed a spa9000 to place between the PABX and the PSTN lines. I
have had this going for a while (>5 months) and it has been working fine
(some issues with echo and other minor things), which is why I am moving
to asterisk.
I bought a tdm410 with 3 fxo + fxs. The fxs is connected to

Voicemail message is dialtone
Hello all,
I have one Asterisk 1.4.21 system connected to a North American POTS
line. Normally hangup detection works fine, and Asterisk hangs up
properly if you are talking to a caller and they hang up; but
occasionally a call comes in (typically from a US telemarketer) where
the caller hangs up just as voicemail recording is starting, and you
get a voicemail recording of dialtone (then

problem with callerid ( SetCIDName )
I don't succed in getting callerId on incoming calls on a zap trunk.
I am using a zaphfc card
When a call is received, one line in asterisk pbx says
-- Executing SetCIDName("Zap/32-1", "") in new stack
second parameters should be the caller ID, but it is not set
The callerid is not hidden at source, so I think that is some kind of
setting in zapata.conf
I am using

Call waiting / hook flash on ZAP trunk from SIP phone?
Hello.
After doing much web searching and searching archives of this mailing
list, I see that my question has been asked at least 6 separate times
but no answers have been attached.
In a nutshell, is there a way for a SIP phone to easily hook flash a ZAP
analog trunk mid-call? (This is important when trying to make use of
features on a PSTN analog line such as call waiting, call forwarding,

US CallerID and TDM04B
Hello All,
I have new TDM04B installed and working fine with Asterisk 1.0.5 built on RedHat 9.
All is working fine except CallerID that bothers me big time.
I have several Panasonic and Sony phones and CallerID works fine with it (when I plug in the line into phone instead into Asterisk I get CallerID) but fails with Asterisk.
I am based in California (San Francisco) and my Telco is SBC

Asterisk 1.2.2 - Double Quote on CallerID Causing SIP Problem (7940)
Hi,
I just upgraded by 1.0.x home server to 1.2.2. Overall the upgrade went
fine, but a strange problem has cropped up with the CALLERID name value of
incoming calls from the X101P card. When an incoming call is presented (via
Vonage ATA), the calledid value getting double quotes up from:
-- Executing NoOp("Zap/1-1", """WIRELESS CALLE" <1404xxxxxxx>") in

Strangeness
Hi,
I restarted my * box before and now my second X100P card has stopped
showing up in Asterisk. It shows up in my dmesg in Gentoo, but only 1
channel is being registered:
