integration with Meridian/Norstar ATA2
I'm attempting to use an asterisk box with a Digium TDM01B as voicemail
for an existing Meridian/Norstar PBX with an ATA-2 adapter. We're
having problems where hangup is not always (but sometimes) detected.
It's not detected probably 70% of the time or more. (The users transfer
callers to an extension--caller then has to navigate a menu to get to
the appropriate user).

hangup detection
So I made the mistake of buying a Carrier Access channel bank without
noticing the page on the wiki about the fact that they don't support
disconnect supervision (bastards!). However, apart from that, I do have
it working fine for incoming calls.
Is there some trick to get asterisk to detect the hangup tones from
SBC? I've tried busydetect and callprogress as suggested, but neither

busydetect
Hi,
I'm struggling to get busydetect to work.
I'm using asterisk 1.2.1 and a digium TDM04B (4 port FXO) card.
I've set busydetect=yes, busycount=6 and busypattern=300,200 in zapata.conf
and i've modified zondata.c with a busy setting of 620+480, 300/200 which is
the busysignal received from Korea Telecom.
Asterisk isn't detecting the busy signal and doesn't hangup.

Problems detecting hangup
Hello people, this is my first mail to this list. I'm new to asterisk
and trying to set up an IVR. So far my dialplan works nice connecting
with softphones, but I'm having problems to detect hangups on the analog
line.
Here are the details:

-Asterisk 1.6

mysterious weekly shutdown
I have a Centos 5.4 machine that has, for the past two weeks, apparently
been shut off over the weekend. It's just sitting there turned off on
Monday morning and when someone hits the power switch it comes right
back on and everything works again.
This happened last weekend, and again over this past weekend.
Here is /var/log/messages from shortly before it apparently shut down
this weekend.

Finding the busypattern
Hey everybody,
I've had issues with detecting call disconnects on the Centrex system
and an Adit 600. I've discovered that if I set the channel bank's FXO
to lscpd, even though the CO says they don't support, that Asterisk can
see the hangups.
The catch? Asterisk can no longer seize the line.
I've used this to my advantage, since I have 13 lines to work with. (5)

[RFC PATCH v2 0/3] mm/fs: Implement faster stable page writes on filesystems
Hi all,
This patchset makes some key modifications to the original ''stable page writes''
patchset. First, it provides users (devices and filesystems) of a
backing_dev_info the ability to declare whether or not it is necessary to
ensure that page contents cannot change during writeout, whereas the current
code assumes that this is true. Second, it relaxes the

Asterisk Follow ME
Hi All.
I have notice a problem with FM feature (screen macros) on Asterisk CVS
version.
When call goes via IAX and calling part "accept the call" on Dial
command with option M, in macros context it's setting
MACRO_RESULT=CONTINUE, but anyway it hangups both channels.
If anyone faced with such problem please let me know. I need to know
whether it's bug or just configuration

[PATCH] Btrfs: fix warning of free_extent_map
Users report that an extent map''s list is still linked when it''s actually
going to be freed from cache.
The story is that

smaller ems, and if this large one is flagged as EXTENT_FLAG_LOGGING which means
that it''s on the list to be logged, then the smaller ems split from it will also

Incoming call doesn't finish when internal phone hangs up
Hello guys,
I have this problem when a call is received in my PBX:
(Caller) --> (Redirecting Service) --> (E1 PRI) --> (Asterisk PBX) -->
(Internal Phone)
Reception works fine, but when conversation finishes and the agent at
internal phone hangs up, the call at caller's side is still alive for
many seconds until it hangs up.
The problem is that Telephone Company is billing me

Hello,
I've one astribank with 8 FXO unit and 8 pstn lines connected to the
astribank. When I receive calls on my ipphone I get always Unknown
callerid.
It's is possible to receive the callerid from the lines on the astribank
unit? This is my config:

Problem with busydetect and cell phones
I have a very strange problem I'm hoping someone has encountered already.
I've scoured the internet for an answer to this one. My phone company
provides no disconnect supervision. Hence I'm forced to use the busydetect
feature. I have a TDM400 with two FXO ports. If I call from an internal
extension to a landline and then hangup the landline Asterisk detects the
busy signal

Digium registration utility version 3.0.3 released
Digium has released version 3.0.3 of its product registration
utility. This is the first version of the registration utility that
is compiled against the uClibc C library. A benefit of this
transition is that the register binary should run more consistently
and reliably across a wider range of Linux distributions.
The new versions of 'register' and 'asthostid' can be

How to get correct dial result for outgoing calls thru ISDN?
Hi everyone,
Currectly I'm having some troubles to get correct status of my calls throug
ISDN lines, when outbound calls don't get its destination I always receive
NO ANSWER as ${DIALSTATUS} despite the fact I know the target number
doesn't exists or is busy at that time.
Maybe there is something I must change in my zaptel.conf or zapata.conf,
current configs follows:
