Samba + ldap issues
Hey All I am having a problems with using openldap and samba. We have been having issues with samba passwords expiring and I have tried several things to resolve the issues. The ldap server was setup using the smbldap-tools. When the password expires the only thing I have been able to do is to reset the password. I have tried the smbldap-usemod -B -1 &username to disable the

Very strange permissions issue with Samba 3.0.20(a/b)
Hi Guys, First, thanks for all the hard work! You all rock. I am running Samba 3.0.20a on RHEL 3 u5 x86, my configuration is working perfectly except for cvs commits for 3 users. We are using ADS, pam_winbind, and pam_require to authenticate CVS users against AD. Our CVS directories are mod 2775, and the group ownership of all dirs is the AD group "DEN-CVS-Users". Click-to-dial CTI for Windows
Hello guys, Is there a decent click-to-dial CTI which works well with Asterisk? We have vanilla asterisk implementation and I have tried a few (ADA, Outcall etc) but they have poor documentation and don't work very well. We are looking for an application which can allow us to dial a number from Outlook and IE/Firefox for outbound calls and get a pop-up for inbound calls with call history

Old Asterisk Release wanting to upgrade ...
Hello, I have been running Asterisk for the past 5+ years on RedHat and I never upgraded it before. All my Asterisk software is of the following release: 1) Asterisk 1.4.21.2 2) Libpri-1.4.4 3) Zaptel-1.4.11 I would like to move the OS to CentOS and then I thought I can at the same time ponder about upgrading Asterisk releases. However, I am bewildered by the myriad of different releases like 1.6,

Kernel and DAHDI
Hi, I have noticed it for a while but I just thought about confirming this with the Asterisk community. As the compilation of DAHDI will need to reference Kernel-devel, does it mean that after DAHDI is installed, we should not yum update kernel because it will affect the operation of DAHDI? Thanks. Logging of Form information in production environment.
It seems that in the default Production environment, Rails logs posted form data. Isn't this a security risk? Especially since a user creation form puts this in the logfile: Processing Base#index (for 127.0.0.1 at 2005-12-18 21:03:33) [POST] Parameters: {"user"=>{"password_confirmation"=>"mypassword", "username"=>"seanwolfe",

Asterisk and USB ISDN controllers ...
Guys, I am planning on building a small SIP PBX with a single ISDN line. Currently I am looking into the specs of a very tiny barebone system that has an option Colognechip base ISDN controller. The only thing is that the ISDN module that comes with this barebone hooks up to the motherboard using USB. My intention is to allow incoming and outgoing calls from SIP to ISDN. Is this setup in any way

AM/PM select
I have a customer that has a request that the select_datetime fields have AM/PM selectors instead of 24 hour time. The rails time and datetime selects seem to only support 24 hour time. I can''t seem to find any information on this. i was wondering if there is already a solution out there, or will i have to roll my own? Sean Wolfe master nerd of i heart squares, inc. 3711 N.

render :partial stops setting local variables.
I''m not sure what happened, or what change has caused this to happen, but render :partial (or any render for that matter, doesn''t seem to let me set local variables via the local_assigns argument hash. for example <%= render :partial ''edit'', :username => @user.username %> used to allow that username was a local variable in my _edit.rhtml partial

Unexpected results using the oneway_test in the coin package
Dear fellow R users, Keywords: Kruskal-Wallis, Post-Hoc, pair-wise comparisons, Nemenyi-Damico-Wolfe-Dunn test, coin package, oneway_test I am using the "oneway_test" function in the R package "coin" and I am obtaining results which I cannot believe are accurate. I do not wish to waste anyone's time and so if the following problem is rather trivial, I apologize, however I

ks.test (PR#1004)
The note to 1004 says "fixed for 1.3.1" Uh. No. It ain't. The problem was more serious than guessed as even the simplest testing would show. For example, Example 5.4 in Hollander and Wolfe (Nonparametric Statistical, Methods, 2nd ed., Wiley, 1999, pp. 180-181) R Version 1.3.1 (SuSE Linux 7.1) > X <-

help speeding up simple Theil regression function
Hello, I am working on a simple non-parametric (Theil) regression function and and am following Hollander and Wolfe 1999 text. I would like some help making my function faster. I have compared with pre-packaged version from "MBLM", which isnt very fast either, but it appears mine is faster with N = 1000 (see results below). I plan on running this function repeatedly, and I generally

accepting a call, macros, and key presses.
Hello, I am using macros to give the ability to a call-receiver to 'accept' a call. However, any keypress connects the caller. Anyone have any suggestions about how to re-engineer this so that the receiver can deny the call, or press other keys to do other actions, without connecting to the user? Thanks, Jason Wolfe
